Lately there as always being a reason for ethereum network to be congested,  causing gas fee increase  drastically.  An imminent solution is needed,  ethereum transactions fee is getting expensive by the day.  What is ethereum team doing about it
Or is this the handiwork of miners. I can move my tokens for weeks now,  due to excessive transactions fee.

It as if ethereum is not ready for it success.

its the result of all the ico going on.  ico are increasing by the day and silly things like crypto kitties isn't helping either.

all my eth transactions are taking days and then not completing.

i didnt realise the tx price is related to gas limit (so set one at a million earlier!) 65$ haha, lucky it was free money from eth's rise

It isn't about the gas limit that effects the speed but the gwei, be careful though if you raise the gwei really high it will cost you a small fortune. You can use https://ethgasstation.info/ to find a good price to set for gwei.

This is a collateral effect of the recent hype around crypto, and the thing is, adoption is just starting so something will be needed to be done.

I think you can compare it to a trip on boat. You can pay extra to skip to the front of the line so there is a higher chance you get on board the next boat, but the boat does not move faster the more you pay. And now the line is so long and a lot of people have already boarded, but the port can't handle the amount of boats. The boats are stuck. And you can't get on the stuck boats anymore no matter what you pay, you have to wait for the next several boats.

You should look for alternative coins to hold. If ethereum is not good anymore due to increase of ICO, ETC is the solution, You can also keep your coins in LTC. LTC is good coin and fast transaction with low fee. YOu can keep bitcoin too. It is for higher amount of money.

The more crypto grows, the more people who become involved, the more ICOs being launched and backed ... It all adds to the newtworks traffic and right now, it's not handling it great. Something needs to give for sure ... and now lets hope no crypto kitties scenario becomes a hit again, although it did highlight ETh will struggle currently to cope with an increase.

i heard that ethereum team has announced several grants for developers teams. of course the question of ethereum network scaling was one of the most important among them.

The reason people switch from bitcoin to ethereum to NYC is it low fee,  and if it can not longer perform that function coins like neo and  stratis Have good hedge against it as competitors.

Ethereum is a smart contract platform and exchanges like ethedelta has become part of my trading life,  with high transaction fee it just makes life miserable for me. Am pissed, vitali need to do something about this.
