Hey guys
I want to start mining and I have for now around the 10k USD to invest, I searched the forum a google and found some information but didn't get all the info pieces together.
As far as I understood GPU mining will be better because you can mine all sorts of coins and you get a good resell value for you hardware.
Could you please tell me which GPU may be the most efficient ? 1070 ti or 1080 ? and there may be a new one coming out so I shall wait ? because I saw that  the 1080 out there for a long time already.
I would like greatful for some usefull guide links, for which hardware to buy, how to calculate profitability, etc...

I guess many people asked almost the same question over and over again, so sorry for asking again, I did the best I could searching the web.

Thank you ;)

There are 2 approaches - buy the best hardware with your money so potentially some NVIDIA 1080TI's or AMD Vega 64's which are powerful and will mine the fastest but will also cost the most.

Secondly you can get some RX 480's or RX 580's the cheapest you can find and save some money then mod the bios and get a reasonably good hashrate. These will be cheaper and will probably ROI much faster but will obviously not get you the most "hash"

For plug&play version go with nvidia. If you have knowledge in flashing the cards, udnervolting etc; go with AMD.

If I were on your place without knowledge, I would go with 1070 gtx because they are not that expensive and you can still sell them to gamers :)

NVIDIA releases new versions all the time. Many speculate that the VOLTA gpu will come out soon, but it's been months and nothing new has come out. Even when new GPUs come out they will be instantly out of stock. Don't waste your time waiting for new GPUs to come out. Mining is a race against time and a race against ETH's ice age and switch to POS. The sooner you start, the more profits you potentially earn to gain.

10k usd its not a small rig, 1k is small rig.
Also look at AMD Vega Gpu's if you can find it on markets.

That is nice information buddy. As he wishes to start his mining rig he can buy the 1080ti cards to make the multiple rig for the amount that op has wish to invest on making rig. As above said this fund far enough to make around 3 to 4 rigs with the 10 cards in the every rig.
mining ethereum and monero is best coins to mine and making decent profit as its hash power and growth of the concern altcoins too.
