Yup, seriously. I have a buddy doing PPLNS on btcguild with 8 BE Blades. I think he should be doing it solo but he doesnt want to, so I thought I'd ask the miner.

If you do hairsplitting here your are only a (real) miner if you mine solo. --> Create Blocks and confirm transactions (mine Blocks).

In Pooled Mining the only real Miner is the pool, all the others are just selling shares, leaving the pool to do with it whatever he wants.

Why the fuck, after all the effort expended trying to educate you people on hedging (http://trilema.com/2013/how-to-hedge-as-a-miner/), you still don't have a clue wtf it is.

I think I'd look for someone who has been registered on the forum for longer than a month.

I will be interviewing an active miner later in the week, and thought I'd ask the community what they'd like asked.

Uh. This forum is full of miners.  If anyone here wants to ask a miner a question, they can just— you know— send one a private message. :P

But hey, I can play along— for a miner that has an Avalon and mines on a 3% fee pool.  "Do you think you're getting $90/month per Avalon you have mining at that pool?"

What's an "active miner"?  I have an Avalon running at home, so I think I'm an active miner.
