Title: How to use pywallet on Ubuntu to access corrupt wallet.dat
Post by: thexmikkel on January 10, 2018, 12:19:22 PM
Hello fellas, my Bitcoin-qt says this to my old wallet.dat from 2016 - it has bitcoins onto it.
I can't remember my address, nor my private key.

Bitcoin-qt: wallet.dat corrupt, salvage failed

I have heard that pywallet could be able to find the private key, even when it is corrupt.
I have my wallet.dat on my desktop on Ubuntu, but I'm new to Linux, and don't know what to do.

I did this:
sudo aptitude install build-essential python-dev python-twisted python-bsddb3

Thanks! :)
