Frankly speaking I do not support the idea of this foundation ( In its current format ) but still will try to become member to vote for Nilam.

As far as I know Benson, Sunny and Nilam are members of foundation. Is there any one else ?

Cheers

Very nice. I would vote for him as well. He has been very active in the external drives for India.
Nice to see him nominated.

There are few names that I can recognize on the members list from India.

I have been thinking of becoming the member of bitcoin foundation.

Benson - Are there any requirements / benefits of being the bitcoin foundation member (if any).

Wow ! i've  got  alot  of  catching up  to  do .

any  ways  i  cant  not  see any  good  coming  out of the  foundation . It  is moving  towards   regulating  and  paying  the developers  of   bitcoin. making  this  a dangerous powder cake.

the  last  i   heard of  Nilam  he  was  working  on a  way to  track   and  indentify  bitcoin  users,  airing  the   very  idea  of  centralization.

A  foundation  that is  created  needs  to  be   regulating  the business  side  not  working  on  menuplating  the   development of  coins  and   the   path  bitcoin  flows  towards.

The  bitcoin foundation is on a  path of  evil and  only the  early  adopters and members  of the foundation  that are  able to  get into  a  position in the  foundation.  They  are  the  only  ones  to   benifit.

Again a  foundation/collation  only  should   regulate   business and  business  best  practices  not  the   currency .

There are some benefits of being a part of the foundation, but my heart has always been aligned to set up a foundation specifically for India.

I like this idea. The foundation should also have technical knowledge if any merchants or common public need to do something with bitcoin or if government need knowledgeable people to assist with their regulations.

I would like to vote him too, He was and is active in an active member but why he has some neg. Trust?
quoted text is copied from his profile where he got neg. trust from subvolatil (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=74363)
Quote
He runs the site called rbitco.in which is a honeypot trap, and many people have lost money in that black hole. he targets mostly people from out of the country who can't get hold of him and are new to bitcoin. Beware dealing with him he is from India, , Ahmedabad.

Will remove this once he has conformed that all the money taken by his website is returned to the right people.
Once we need to think are we promoting better person?
