When do you guys think this euphoria regarding Altcoins will end? Now, basically everywhere I go people are talking about crypto currencies, altcoins, ico's.. It's really a big hype now! New ICO's coming very often, when will it end? I think in like a year, 2 or 3 there won't be times like this anymore and only the giants will stay. Which ones in your oppinion? Do you even think this will end anytime soon?

IMO the hype will end when sufficient people burn their hands on shit coins and shit ICO's. But if the overall amount of projects have quality and a real life use, I do not see any reason for the hype to end.

I don't think it will end at all. Crypto isn't underground market that you can easily manipulate now. Everyone heard about it and loves trading. Basically there will be corrections but nothing will die off.

It will not end but there will be a significant shift in the way things are and the future change that is around the corner, just look at when the .com bubble bursted, this do not prevent people from investing in tech comapnies

Still we are at the earliest stage of cryotocurrency so it maybe a long while to think about the end of altcoins but now all altcoins are bumping up due to the problems with the bitcoin so the current run of altcoins will end when the fee got lowered.
But altcoins will be there until there is bitcoins but the shitcoins will fade away soon maybe before 2020.So people be wise on picking your coins because many coins don't have any future use.

It will end (for a while) when BTC or ETH falls/crashes.  When the foundation of a building collapses, the floors on top take the most severe fall.  When these two coins fall, everybody will hurry to sell their ICO's in order to stop loss ther fiat losses.  That's when a lot of ico's will take a huge dip or die.  The speed things are rallying right now, it won't be too long either before that happens.

I lot of people investing and investments are till to come. The growth is only option here for now, with little bumps here and there.
Few more years for sure and then it will be less profitable, but until then  ;)

I don't think it will end within the next year or two. The hype will help to drive the technology further, so I think that over time there will be a lot of projects with no real value that will be dying, but new promising ones rising (or real value existing ones improving)

Too many new investors here. The want to be rich with altcoins. Because everyone makes such investments, the demand is too high :)
In my opinion this era will end march. In summer the market will move again :)

Bitcoin push will come. But alts will stay strong.

I think that at this moment Altcoins are as strong as ever, and the Altcoin hype will not end in the near future for sure. Now a lot of people are just starting to be interested in Altcoins, and this means that we expect very good growth.

In general, cryptocurrencies will only end if the internet gets shut down, and of course that statement is impossible unless something like shutting down the electricity of the earth occurs. And honestly, I am afraid of North Korea's blackout bomb. I was told that we would live 200 years without electricity.

Added to that, many people are into altcoins because bitcoin is getting expensive. So, they would rather invest in an altcoin and gain profits afterwards. I believe that is how it goes.

To me it seems like it's about to, a lot of red out there today. Many of the early and biggest pumpers like ripple, verge and cardano took a big hit yesterday/today. It would make sense for those to be first and the others to follow that pumped later.

This is not likely to end. Because people need some different investment instruments, bitcoin or the majör altcoins are not enough now. They want more coins, more variety of assets. I think there is a small hype but it will be more stable in the future.

I don't know when. What I do know is that it will end slowly. The market will bear down too much for too long scaring the newcomers away permanently. Some may call it a bubble burst but bubbled burst slowly. In truth, the ones that miss out most are the very late adopters. I aim to be out of it by then, wait and return to buy the GOOD projects. Not that shitcoins.

Every time bitcoin pumps, atlcoins dump but I do hope this time that altcoins will remain strong and keep his on way upward. Cryptocurrency is our future and I believe there is no place for altcoin to stop moving forward.

I think that the hype around crypto is only starting now. It is covered by mainstream media almost every day in my country and that brings new money into crypto constantly. I think that this will last for some more time. There has to be a lot of people suffering financial losses because they invested without proper research in projects with no future before this will come to an end. I expect it to end in about a year, after 4 out of 5 of the current projects will be abandonned by the devs or have to admit that they wont be able to deliver their promised product.

For me i don't think its any hype at all,,, it just the reality. However even if its hype, i do not think it coming down soonest. This is because, so many more alt coins are being launched as the day goes by. This happening, we shouldn't just see a possibility of the hype subsidizing, henceforth it will keep going up. Also we must look at the fact that the year 2018 has been fortold as the year of serious boom for the cryptos world. It has been predicted that so many places will be won over unto the ranks of cryptocurrencies. Thus,,, if we are to look at this, we can expect more to come not an ending to it. Am not seeing it happening at all any time soon. Cos cryptos are not an end to a means,,, but the end itself.

I guess that this is just beginning. And soon the crypto industry will start to develop much faster than now. We will hear about crypto currency everywhere. The real life of people will be closely intertwined with the world of altcoins. Therefore, I am glad that I'm here))

still less than 1% of all people even know about crypto and much less than 0,1% people own any cryptocurrencies. It will be more mainstream soon and most things will moon

It is ending in a way but this stuff goes in waves.  When BTC makes its next run, you'll see people move there.  Then as it stagnates you'll see people move to alts.  You just have to hodl through the waves and be strong.

It's crazy. Now even threadbare companies from unrelated industries like Kodak are launching coins! Their stock more than tripled on the news (https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/10/kodak-shares-have-more-than-tripled-since-announcing-kodakcoin.html). That kind of hype is hard to ignore. This definitely feels like the dot-com era all over again.

I definitely agree that in two or three years, these opportunities will be gone. This is the early growth period that is pricing in the high risk of failure and the speculative position of cryptocurrencies. When everything is mainstream in a few years, nobody will be willing to sell so low.

There is definitely a correlation between Bitcoin and these altcoin markets. Altcoin price moves definitely depend on what BTC does. If BTC recovers and starts pushing new ATHs again, all that money will flow back out of altcoins again. It probably won't be "the end" though. Just another market cycle.

How can it end when it´s just begun? It´s like being the first at a party and leave the party at that moment when the music starts to play. So many people out there don´t even know about altcoins. They know about bitcoins and thats it. When people will start to invest more in altcoins than we can start to talk about an hype. Let´s say 2/3 years  8)

I guess there is no exact time or no one can predict when that will happen, cryptocurrency has been bugging everyone and making people get curious about it so for me every year it will just make its market more bigger, better and stronger.

I think some of the hype will end when icos start getting regulated and people start getting fined or jailed for market manipulation or pump and dump schemes (like what happens in the real securities markets). But I think that will make crypto more predictable, stable and will atract new money, leading to growth

It cant die.. there are some serious Technologies coming out week by week.. so how could it die?

Actually i dont wish this hype will be ending since this hype is very important for me.
This year the hype is very high and i wish i have a chance to get that hype to my luck.

Everyday comes a new ICO,, more and more technologies comes into the blockchain system,, I hope the hype will continue to grow.. faster and faster..

Yeah,, Hype is going up and up last year, and I expect the same for 2018... more people recognize that cryptocurrency change the way of life, and give us a lot of benefit...

I think hype will continue to grow as more people and government aware of crypto power ~

As long as bitcoin survive altcoin will still survive. Thats how this crypto life. Altcoin makes this crypto world more interesting and also ico. Yes there are lot of negativity besides ico. But it also bring new user in this crypto world, so its a positive for us. The bubble is not burst yet. Still very far away from pop. We probably will wacth bitcoun touch $10000 and alt goes up againts bitcoin. But againts dollar we lose little bit before goes up again.

There current run of altcoin hype will come to an end when the fee for bitcoin transaction got reduced and there is a hardfork of ethereum coming on so the people are moving their investment into ethereum to recieve free coin so they will return back to bitcoins after the fork.
But I think in 2018 more altcoins will pop up like NEM,which price may reach upto $10.But the price bumps and dumps is normal with crypto currency so we just have to make our investments longer term to get good reaps.

It will end soon, but not all altcoins will be affected by then. There are some altcoins are just a hype coin and there are some that are really serious and are serving its purpose. So these coins are not just hype, they are real so i don't think the word "hype" will be applicable for the entirety of alternate coins.

I do not think this hype will end yet. There are a lot of new investors right now. The aim of these investors is to make a lot of money in a short time. So the interest in altcoins will continue to increase.
We will see these movements for at least a few more weeks :)

I think the crypto markets will keep growing so will altcoins but yes there will be dips and corrections on the way, like last year we had huge bull run till march april then markets corrected for next few months and it is back bullish now.

Depends if there is a giant crackdown on Crypto in a country like China. That'll rain on our parade, for sure.

It wont end, at least, not for now, the huge hype that most of the altcoins are having is incredible high, and you forgot to say that most ico's are having the same impact right now, they are raising a lot of money only because of hyping, just take a look on Gems, they were hyped because of fomo, nothing more than that.

Of course now it`s propitious time for growing altcoins , many new people invest in crypto ,even exchanges stop their registration of huge people influx . But it will be end when Bitcoin starts it`s rally to 20-30k$ , and all altcoins will go down.
