Title: Scandinavia and Finland; are we allowed to post here?
Post by: mcinen on January 10, 2018, 05:40:46 PM
Hello,

We all know Finland is not officially part of Scandinavia even though some people that are not from the Nordic countries occasionally states otherwise. Maybe they think its the same thing as Nordic countries, scandinavian peninsula or maybe even due to the fact that Swedish is our second language (I'd guess the first one). However, I'm not here to talk about that matter, instead I'm here to ask that since Finland does not have a own local board (and I don't see that happening anytime soon) are we allowed to post our translated Finnish ICO announcements and/or bounties here? I joined bitcointalk especially to take part in those, but now I came to realize there is no place to post them or am I missing something?  ???

According to the posting guidelines, Finnish is not allowed and translated announcements are also not allowed. I agree with that. Posts should be understood by everyone, and we don’t need ICO or other spam here as well.

I suggest activating the Finnish thread so as to make the case for a Finnish board. With real discussion, not translated spam. Also, why not post here in Swedish?

...and I'll respect that, just wanted to make sure :) Looks like they have tried to activate it a couple of times, but seems that it did not work out.
