Yesterday while transferring BTC from GDAX/Coinbase to other wallets, i didn't notice a clipboard malware was changing the address between copy and paste, so they got diverted to the malware accounts.

Is there any chance I can get the btc back? Being a cospicuous amount for me, i offer a reward to be dealt with who can help me fix this. Confirmed means that the transactions are now a permanent part of the Bitcoin Blockchain. There is nothing that can be done to change them. Unspent means that the thief still has the bitcoins. They haven't spent them anywhere else yet. Is there any chance I can get the btc back? Realistically, no. Technically, if you can find a way to locate the thief you might be able to ask him nicely to send the bitcoins back to you. You might also be able to hit him over the head with a baseball bat until he agrees to send them back to you. However, there isn't any good way to identify the thief unless you know who wrote and supplied the malware to your computer, or if he happens to do something stupid (like spend the bitcoins later at a publicly known address) Being a cospicuous amount for me, i offer a reward to be dealt with who can help me fix this. A reward isn't going to make this any more likely to be successful. Title: Re: Scammed by malware:transaction confirmed+unsent (reward offered) Post by: UNOE on January 10, 2018, 07:50:38 PM If you manage to find the malware that did this, maybe it is also a RAT, since rats will get back to the owner, you could in theory manage to get the IP or some information about the owner. Tho this requires alot of time and knowledge.
I would help you myself, but I am of no use here. Maybe If you find the malware you can post it to some forum that has hackers on it, they might help you find out what it does and is it someway connected to the owner, and then you can offer money to someone to try and find the IP and track it |
