SELL OR HODL???

Debating on the same my account profit is down nearly 50% because of this. Having 2 thought on it though. 1 is that the market will correct itself as time goes by and more non S. Korean buyers come in. 2 is pull it all and wait until all the news passes but by then it could be too late to buy back in.

Investors always panic at these things when it all starts to look red. It happens sometimes but it will return to normal.

Today, the government is preparing to take measures to create a panic in the cryptocurrency market, as it did in China last September.

China did this before but after that a massive bullrun happened. South Korea is about to do what China did. If this happens then bitcoin and other crypto will reach new ATH.

Better to sell now it you cant attain the price drop.

In my opinion, although it is necessary to supervise, the formulation of regulations will take a certain amount of time, so we may not need to worry too much about this information in this month.

Personally, I don't try to day trade, all my holdings are long term at this point. Definitely looking to acquire some cheap ETH if it drops a lot in the next few days, as I don't think this will be a long downturn.

Just like all the past FUD, this too will pass. Do not panic.
Got this on my twitter feed from a trader:

Just called my counter part in Korea, he says that the reports are FUD. The position is that the Korean authorities are clamping down on unregulated exchanges and exchanges that are not compliant. Further they are auditing the quality of the KYC. A ban is not on the cards.

we learn from the experience of China that issued a policy to prohibit crypto currency but not long after that bitcoin prices increase very high, hodl.

Yeah I think they just wanted to scare exchanges and traders so that they follow the tax rules. Which govt doesn't want tax?? Hope I had extra cash to buy

So its just a FUD. Many panicked because of this. So it is the best time to buy. I wish the same thing.

I will still suggest you to hold because it may rise again like we never expected before but it did increase and most of us regretted later for not saving the bitcoins.

Sell if you don't believe in crypto. If you're here because of the gains, better sell it.
Hodl if you believe in it, tech and applications, decentralization, etc. Price won't matter.

Big bounce happening already! Global market cap came down to support zone of low $600s Billion and
has now bounced above $650 billion already in last few minutes. Once it goes back in $700 - $800 billion
range, this correction will be over.

Dang! No need to worry after Park's statement that South Korea will ban all cryptocurrency trading. The dump happened many times, but it will rebound a bit later.

I'm even happy that the prices dump to make way for buyers to buy more at a low price. Yeah, I know the feeling that we're in panic if Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are falling down, just like stocks. I just thanked FUDders for us to buy back and #HODL. ;)

If it goes down, the prices will go up twice, thrice or even more than that later on.

Question is not SELL or HODL, the real question will be BUY or HODL.
If you haven't started to HODL you should buy step by step till drop stops.

I suppose to buy some and hold, though this dumped worried me a bit but I will look forward to hold for now. I think price of btc will increase anytime, and this correction will not stand long. In this market down, the best is hold and wait atleast this end of the month I think will increase.

To hold is the better strategy because panicking will just make things worst. I have experienced this before when China in which a big nation than South Korea ban the digital currencies but what happens next? China have lose million of dollars in which very bad to the economy therefore if we survived Big China before how much more much for the smaller South Korea.   8)

You have a hood choice buy more btc while the price is going down. I will rather hold my btc than selling it at this time. You will lose if you will sell and not earning profit. Buy btc is a best idea for me for now, btc will eventually increase.

Market down is not a big thing because this is not permanent, the price will rise soon so just relax and wait for that moment.
I never sold in this kind of situation, in fact I prepare myself to buy more on dump coins because I believe it can give me easy profit in just a short term.

even when China banned exchanges prices were felled down , and rebound to 3 to 4 times from that , and local trading in china increased to 400% .

Even in this case Korean ban price may drop and rebound .

For mean time you can sell now and buy when price are down .

This is quite natural in markets and this is the time to add more tokens at cheaper price to your portfolio. You can either sell when market bounce back in 2 weeks time or wait till they hit your price targets or even Hodl for long term. Stay strong and good luck.

I think best to hold for a while at least

I only started in October and have ridden the few corrections and it's been higher everytime.
Managed to cash out my initial investment and still sitting on a decent amount still

Yeah, you are right need much patience to get succeeded in crypto currency investments,if you try to sell your coins when the markets are down they will face the losses.
The history shows us always the market will bump back when the price of cypto currency falling so in my thought it is good time to invest on bitcoins or other crpytos soon the price will go up.

The reporter who wrote that CNBC article is facing the Music on her Twitter right now. To be fair to her, the Koreans did announce some bad stuff earlier, but they then clarified that the ban was not on the cards.

I'd rather buy at this point. This scenario is very familiar, this was just like the scenario when china declared a ban on bitcoin. If you are wise enough then selling wouldn't be your option.

SELL OR HODL???

Someone confirmed that it's just a FUD. This will pass too, most altcoins, even some shitcoins were pumped because most bitcoin HODLers sold their bitcoin because of this FUD. Bitcoin dumped, bitcoin pumped. It happens in a cycle all through out the year. We should learn how to ride this cycle.
