Now the today coinmarketcap News most of the Altcoin Goes down. So what do you think about it? What's the main reason for this downfall?

This is just people talking profit, I think this is not a trend, look at BTC also the price has taken huge dip and lost 5% in 24 hours, though most people will talk about the Korean exchanges ban, I feel this rumour won't go away very fast

Because altcoin has gained a lot in the last half month, although the decline is normal, it is because there is a rumor in South Korea that there is policy news, but it has been confirmed as fake news.

I don't think so that altcoin are falling because i think that the bitcoin is down and the altcoin are popular and increasing the investors have invested much of their amounts in altcoins and if you look at their portfolio you will see the preferred altcoins in their portfolio so for me the altcoin is not down it is going to the upstream. If we look at the history the amounts are very good as compared to the past.

I think it is because of bitcoin price is down too deep and it seems, it makes people be afraid to hold altcoin for a little longer. I hope they are wrong and this will push the altcoin price become high later. I see the altcoin goes down although not all altcoin goes down, the effect that I feel is people getting rush and I hope they don't panic to see this and still hold their altcoin. but I don't know the main reason for this downfall and I only can wait for a while.

I was about selling my altcoin when I saw the dip today but just had to look at the dip as a normal thing in crypto. Possibly investors are withdrawing their profit in altcoin to buy bitcon (which is quite very low now)

Do we really need everyday a newthread when something dumps? When bitcoin goes down, the alt goes even more down. Dont get in panic everyday, soon it will rise again.

Hello! I think that this is a natural consequence of the New Year's hype around the whole of cryptocurrencies. By and large, there is nothing wrong with that. Now it will be possible to earn on rebound exchange rates.

First thing you need to do is to be calm.
Prices will not always go up. from time to time we will see declines. Hold it in your hand instead of selling it when the price drops. It will be more beneficial to you :)

I think it was due to the current event in South Korea where major exchange site where raided by the authorities because of some irregularities, it is something we won't be worrying I'm sure the price will be back again.

If you've been in crypto for quite a while now, dips is a normal thing. It just prompts us to top up our funds and buy some more as it give us the opportunity to buy a certain coin while its price is low. For traders, its time to apply that patience to hodl.

From what I am seeing is that the price is mainly going down because people received coins during the Holidays.

There was news that Korea prohibits cryptocurrency, so the whole market is now red. But this is manipulation. Big players make money using this news. It's not scary. Soon everything will go back to growth. ;)

This is the natural state of the market: first everything grows, then falls and so it repeats constantly. Coins can not constantly grow in value or fall. About the news from Korea - this is manipulation at the cost of bitcoin and nothing more. Do not forbid in Korea to trade with crypto-currencies.

This shouldn't have been very surprosing to many IMO. The alt coin rally in the last month or so has been insane! You could've picked pretty much any coin in the top 100 & made gains. To expect the market to continue like that indefinitely isn't very wise. Now does this mean the alt coin rally is fully over? Of course not. But helthy corrections like this are needed along the way.

This might be due to the fact that Bitcoin has dropped in price. BTC was around $15k-$16k and now it is just $13k which is about $3k decline in its price. The price of altcoins in dollars would obviously be down since it is paired with Bitcoins and BTC is currently down in dollars.
The price of Altcoins in BTC is not so much down according to my poiint of view since people would be taking their profits out and there is also a rumor in the market about the korean banning cryptos but yet the depreciation is not so much that it could be called a down trend.

It's all about Korean FUD . Government doing pressure and want to centralize and regulate all crypto market , and people are afraid of this . In addition mass media manipulate with information to make people panic , so , there is nothing strange we have a dump now .

Yeah, I know that because every day I have to see the growth of the price of cryptocurrency at https://coinmarketcap.com/ and now majority price goes down. Caused by some bad rumours that fall on bitcoin, that is the reason altcoin price decreased.

But if we look at some of the things that happened before, the price of bitcoin and altcoin has decreased drastically. But after that, the price goes up again. So, I'm sure this is a good time to buy bitcoin and altcoin, so when the price goes up we can sell it. Yeah, I would say this a chance for some investor to buy bitcoin and altcoin.

In my opinion, there is a correction of the course of coins, just they will not always grow and happen and fall over time everything is settled.

The whales decided to take profits . Throw BTC for great prices and to buy back . On news of Korea a dropping market . It's manipulation

The main reason is the news about the closure of crypto-exchange exchanges in South Korea. But if, after the same news in China, bitcoin has not lost much, then do not worry about South Korea.

Altcoin price coming down is just natural progression to run away market.  The bull Bitcoin  and Altcoin has experienced  lately is one of a kind.  It got people from all walks of life including people at wallstreet  jealous.  Cryptocurrency market will rise again soon.

altcoin decreases it's normal and it's a session movement of a coin in every time. but I think even though altcoin has decreased over the next few years altcoin can experience a good improvement and give big profits.

There are several factors that drive the market, news, speculation, the rise of bitcoin, but indenpendent of the factors, the downfall period is healthy and the corrections are welcome, we should not worry, we should just surf the wave.

I believe its completely normal for the coins to dip based on news and investor panic, but its also a good time for more investors to rush into the market now that the prices are low, it would be advisable to hodl on to your coins.

Goes down yes, but just a little bit and for a while, because I sure altcoin will increase again. If you see the graphic some altcoin increase fast.
So not need to worry for invest in altcoin, because this investment profitable for long term. I already get the profit from altcoin.

This is a result of the Korean issue of closing the Exchange, and this is common.
Bitcoin and altcoin prices are strongly affected by negative issues. the coin holders panicked and chose to save their assets.

You just have to learn to live with it. That is the common volatile behaviour of the market. The money you see in the coin market belong to investors whose primary motive is to make. They are just taking their profit so they can re-invest their profit and keep making money.

Some will go up and some will go down different moves again and again. Otherwise wouldn't it be huge scam, ponzi or something like that?

I don't see it as a market trend trend but ad a result of the increase in the value of altcoins in recent time many who believe that they have made enough profit are now taking profit from their investment. And now is the best time to invest money in some the good or those that has profit potential in the future.

There has been a very massive rally in the altcoin section and investors and bounty hunters are having field day to take their profits. It is always the case as within the next few days there will be a re bounce.

There are many factors to be considered,first BTC movements because most of the time BTC goes up or down most of the alts bleeds, second some FUD is spreading in our community some news may affect the mindset of the traders thats why fundamentals has impact to our market's behaviour.

it is an ordinary phase as rising, altcoins goes up and goes down. we should not be panic on every change that we see in a day on market.

I heard this too but I think it was just rumour and I hope that this is not true. we still have another country that will support cryptocurrency and I am sure that many people still want to use cryptocurrency because cryptocurrency could give many benefits for us. so I don't think that cryptocurrency will be forbidden.

and now, the altcoin price trying to go up and reach the new level price and I hope that I can sell it at the high price. I think it's not too late to buy the coins if we want but make sure that the price is in low price so we can buy much amount.

One thing I know that affects the crypto market is news and rumor. The news about South korea government regulation really affected the crypto market whether we like or not. I know that there is going to be some corrections in the near future but currently the market is down which is also the right time to buy.

No worry about that. It is a natural selection whih coins that have real projects. Coins with real projects will increase soon, but coins with fake projects will be abandoned. So what do you invest in? What tokens are best to invest?

I wonder why it's still falling? It was a fake news that Korea closed the exchange, and I panicked.I don't know whether I can sell my token.

Altcoins go down because some bad news from Koren goverment, but i think we should ignore those news. Last few months, China goverment banned bitcoin and bitcoin price still raise. The crypto market is available for all countries and without 1-2 countries, the game still going on.

Nowadays ! most of all altcoins is going down the value or prices even bitcoin. When you view coinmarketcap , all you can see is red slopes.

Someone says that the Chinese government will ban all the platform, exchange, and mining of all alts. But I don't think it will last long. All the priice will go up again and we will win everythin back.

The crash of the market is because of the FUD.  Which includes news of South Korea Government banning cryptocurrency to the news of France coming out against crypto which can have great influence to other EU countries banning crypto as well.

Altcoins price drop is because of the bitcoins effect. Since bitcoin price is going down, most of the coins also going down. I think its because of the market that involve the panic selling of the holders. I hope this wont last for so long.
