A coin with a blockchain dies when there are no miners/nodes to verify the transaction. And most of the token die when their transaction fees goes higher than their value. Title: Re: Dead coins? No technical features are doomed to be eliminated.

First the introduction of ICOs made sure the flow of dead coins never stops. Now everybody in the crypto community is just going after the next big thing not minding if it's just a repeat of a current project or a scam. And after it gets listed on an exchange, everyone just dumps and moves on. Then the circle continues.
