The main ways they die.

1. Lack of interest --solidcoin
2. Become obsolete --solidcoin
3. Attacked       --solidcoin
4. Design flaws --solidcoin
5. Obnoxious Developer--solidcoin

haha, seriously hes right tho, lack of dev support and designed for pump and dump is the main reason nowadays, i could mention atleast 5 coins created a single dev which were made for pump and dump and for them to make money off the premine/instamine

Someone should setup a coin graveyard so we can pay our respects/disrespects to the fallen crypto.

Dont forget about pre-mining a coin to death, especially without any good reason besides giveaways.

True for a lot of new coins. Sad indeed.

There are many ways a coin issued and they have different ways to die.
A coin with a blockchain dies when there are no miners/nodes to verify the transaction.
And most of the token die when their transaction fees goes higher than their value.

Coin has gone through its time. Now it is the age of token or the public chain. Coin is a lot of counterfeit bitcoins. No technical features are doomed to be eliminated.

There are many dead coins right now. The main reason of that is a lack of support to the team and a lack of budget.

This old thread has some relevance now because from the time the thread was creator to now, there's has been a lot of changes. First the introduction of ICOs made sure the flow of dead coins never stops. Now everybody in the crypto community is just going after the next big thing not minding if it's just a repeat of a current project or a scam. And after it gets listed on an exchange, everyone just dumps and moves on. Then the circle continues.
