Title: Adding one GPU to gaming rig Post by: TVG3000 on January 11, 2018, 09:17:06 AM Hi all!
I have been mining with my main GPU, a MSI RX480 Gaming 8GB when I am not gaming (24.5 Mh/s). I got a 750w power supply and a big case, so I would like to add another GPU for 24/7 mining. I am thinking of getting a better card (GTX 1070 Ti) or a RX480 equivalent (RX 580? GTX 1060?). What would you recommend? Also, 4 gb or 8 gb? I would also like to flash the card, are there any manufacturers / models more recommended than others for this? I don't pay for electricity btw! Thanks a lot! I recommend not mixing AMD with Nvidia. You mine with one of the gpu while playing games with the other. If I go the Nvidia route I would mine ETH with the RX and whatever is most profitable with the Nvidia, so two different mining programs. Do these slow each other down? You can add the multiple gaming cards in the one rig. If it is same variant it would be works better still you can have the multiple variant cards in the rig to work it. Recent days Rx 470 and 570 cards not available in the many places in the world. I am looking for cards from the past 1 month but I did not find in the cards from the any locations in my country. For better hashes you can have the rx 580, Nividia 1070 or 1080ti card to make a powerful rig. |
