ETH would be my best bet. It potentially can replace bitcoins if need be. Or you can also move to Bitcoin Cash since it has grown significantly in the past, probably it could be the a good alternative to bitcoins in case it does fail to adopt to the situation. Right now bitcoins are going down because of the recent network congestion and high transaction fees, which is really causing people to stray away from bitcoins and move to other altcoins.

When BTC falls, it takes the whole crypto market down with it. You may catch a lucky break and happen to find an alt that fares better than the others, but which one it will be -- if there is one -- is anyone's guess.

If cryptomarket is a band then Bitcoin is the conductor. However, there will still be some free-style musicians who will play in the way that Whales / Sharks / their communities want. If you have been monitoring Ethereum recently, you will notice that ever since Bitcoin started decreasing in price rate, the price for Ethereum has been going up, and it has gone from $700 to $1200. Your correct in the price that really go down but still it's so high now because i experience the value of btc 7x low by the current price now so i say it's so good as a coin in many coins and i think we have already a different currency with high value also like btc.I think in some time many coins will be similar to btc we need only to support that kind of things here in crypto but still we need to think more and more because being similar can go wrong also in some way like the value of btc now can be so low by that.

South Korean government's action against on crypto currency is making the bitcoin and all the crypto currency dumped in the market. In the top 100 list you will find the positive face in the 5 to 10 coins only and all the price and supply seems dumped in the market.

The Korean government has caused this drop of the entire crypto market. ethereum's bitcoin price has been consistently moving up. so i suppose it's good to speculate on eth nowadays... bitcoin is still on a downtrend probably due to the market's reaction to tether. as per bitcoin trend, maybe we'll see bitcoin price move up sometime april, may, june?

First its not been termed as 'currency' you make it sound as if you are referring to an ordinary fiat, its been termed as 'cryptocurrency'. And the second part is that, whenever there is a dip or a reductions in the price of bitcoin that doesn't means the world has come to an end for it. Instead it will be a better time to buy and hold for it in the long run. So my advise to you is to buy now. its the best cryptocurrency to invest in.

Possible but not likely: bitcoin cash. Bitcoin cash was meant to replace bitcoin so every other decrease in bitcoin may help bitcoin cash grow in price. Its not likely currently but it is possible.

Don't go for ripple, i recommend you to invest in other alt coins... Ripple is not fully decentralise like bitcoin and ethereum, so better to invest in other decentralised currencies.

Most of these coins depend on Bitcoin value, if you look at most of them, only few tokens have made new ATH in BTC value, I won't expect the price of BTC to remain this low forever, it is likely its goes below $8000 or move to over $20k price range

Yes, ripple is not decentralized. However, it doesn't make it a bad investment. Perhaps, it makes xrp a traitor of crypto ideology, but that is not something everyone cares about nowadays. People stick to fiat. However, fiat has it's big problems like inflation, paper expenses, possibility of fake money or of not knowing how much money there really is.. That's why ripple can help replacing fiat. And especially because of it not being decentralized, government are more likely to choose it rather than other coins they can't control.

How low do you think bitcoin will go? I thought the bottom would be around 9900- 10000 it's currently at 9450? I read somewhere it has a chance of going to 8000 now. What do you guys think?

This drop in Bitcoin's price is an awesome opportunity to buy some more. The things that are brewing just under the surface are huge and once they hit stable release the adoption rate of bitcoin will skyrocket. I am talking about Lightning network mainly, and all the other things guys and girls are working on to improve the bitcoin protocol. So have patience and HODL!

Bitcoin will definitely stay. I don't see it going anywhere. it will surely bounce back. but i think eth is a really good bet. maybe it can equal or surpass btc. im investing on both..

you can choose eth, this altcoin has a high potential for long term investment, and for me now is the right time to invest. If you want a lcheap you can also choose xrp this one is also a potential altcoin.

Well, ETH is raising and now is close to ATH of 0.12+.
Other currencies are raising also, like Pillar, but it's rare.
