I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on the projects they are investing in. Like I am mostly interested in green projects, since world will be needing green and sustainable projects in coming years. What is your pick?

Internet of things (IoT) is a huge branch which will rule our future life. So I invested in IOTA, because it seems to be the most solid coin in this area.

I like real life projects like real estate, health and gaming etc that are mostly composed of smart contracts on eth network.

I don't have a particular preference. I am just looking for good deals regardless of the industry.

I wish you good luck with your green projects, hopefully you'll make a change but I think it'll be difficult in this world.

I invested in NXT, IGNIS and YUPIE.
I do not know if they have a high potential for the long term or not but I will sell when the price meets my target!

   Gambling, then in payment processor, and I like innovations where blockchain
is connected with some real business.
   Currently here on forum we can find so many good suggestions for ongoing
and upcoming projects, I would like to be a part of most of them. I do not have
enough funds for every project I wish to support, with what I have I need to choose
good and if that works I will think what to do next, but currently crypto-world is the
place where I wish to be.
   Soon I will have nice amount of money in crypto-currencies, I will announce my
portfolio when I come to my first goal.

Oh there are many interesting markets and within those many applications of the Blockchain. I try to invest in two things: Projects that independently of the industry have low risk, typically they are company going crypto. The other are in the area of pure chain technologies. Platforms if you will.

I am interested in the cloud storage industry primarily with SIAcoin
also interested in "the internet of things" with IOTA.
I think both are very revolutionary fields and particularily with the
IoT it is only really getting started now.

I am also interested in space, spaceX and "the trip to Mars" although
I'm not sure yet where the Blockchain technology fits in with this yet  ???

Privacy coins, especially since lots of people are concerned over spying nowadays, so I think it will become a huge industry. Also investing in exchange coins, such as ZRX, KCN, and also BNB, as more and more people are investing in crypto.

I think the game industry today has a very potential market, they have a great community and of course it will be very promising

For me priority is projects that help control government agencies, prevent corruption. The idea of issuing state funds through a blockchain technology sounds awesome!

The crypto debit cards - tokencard, monaco and tenx.  I hold all three.  If any one of them can get a working product to the market, the sky is the limit!

Privacy coins. I have focused on them. The game industry is also good.

So far, various decentralized social applications and tokens of the gaming industry have shown themselves best.

Good topic. I believe the internet of things and IOTA is a good investment because IOT is really poised to take off in the coming years. The thing about IOT is that it is embedded in our daily lives and reaches out to ALL industries. IOT can be used in health, shopping, farming, and even real estate. One could argue that investing in IOT would also mean investing in all the other industries as well.

Internet and digital currency.

Personal security, anonymity, in short privacy coins... This is what we need.. to secure our own personal data... I like also a coin focussing in one of the best payment method like dimcoin.

Like 99% of news about global warming is just a FUD that makes populistic poloticians give our money to different garbage green projects.
What about the projects I'm trying to find some crypto related stuff for that moment because they have crypto income which is pretty scalable and it backs the project's tokens.

IOTA is a very dangerous investment to do if you don't know what you're doing. Just because the coin has the hype -it doesn't mean that the coin will be that successful.

That sounds really interesting. I don’t know any coins or upcoming icos with that goal. Do you?

I invest primarily in financial services related coins. Financial services is a multi trillion dollar global industry that does things inefficiently and at great expense. Also I know the industry well so I can judge the coins.

The blockchain industry, buddy. I do think green projects are good for our planet earth. But if your goal is to get maximum profit, you should focus on the most profitable industry out there, which is the blockchain industry.

for now, I think I investing in the cryptocurrency but I have some of the health, finance, travel project. I can say all of my projects are related in cryptocurrency but someday, I want to have my real project in my real life because I think it will be good to have one project so I can try to manage my project. I think everything that related with the internet is good too because, in the future, we can see that internet connection will grow and will be fast so I think I don't want to miss this if I have a chance to invest.

Trading platform.. cryptomarket won't operate without traders and trading platforms ofc.

It is not possible to select the industry as per own choice. I study the project and choose batter project even than i prefer Media, Entertainment and Gaming project. Because this sector is always in demand.

Smart contract, artificial intelligent because we can hold the growth of technology maybe someday alot of job will fill by robots, banking blockchain because the more easy we pay many things with bank product the more easy we using our cryptocurrency money. And project manufacture because a lot of people need to fullfill their needs and the service will easy to use by many people.

If im going to invest, i would probably invest into platforms related to trading of cryptocurrencies and maybe some that are related to innovations for wallets because it really is the trend nowadays.

Fintech and P2p lending. Once these are fully powered by the blockchain tech, it's gonna really take off. Smart contracts is the future of these industries.

Security platform because progress is becoming limited and one factor is trust, if you do not trust a certain project, people or something. How it gonna be implemented, but if you have trust to something, we can see the progress that goes on anf one we will be surprised of something we trust.

To me, I would have great interest in projects that work on technology solotion as we're moving from agriculture and industry to technology society now.

I try to invest in the IT sector, because I think that now it needs very strong modernization and is innovative, because thanks to this sector we can integrate innovations into other sectors of our life

I pay attention to the projects, with which you can create a new blockchain. As an example, Etherium, NEO and  ArcBlock as a fresh one.

I am involved in several industries. Some in crypto and some in the traditional markets.

For Crypto,

I like projects that are building smart contract platforms especially those that are able to meet the needs of dev teams. This can be seen by how many ICO are being launched on their platform. ETH and NEO are my fav. Been holding them for a while now. ArcBlock is my latest favourite and I intend to hold ArcBlock for a while, once I get their tokens.

I also like projects that are using the blockchain to disrupt current day industries and able to meet current day need. There are plenty in the crypto world. Cross-border value transfer, gambling, renewable energy trading etc.

And I particularly like privacy coins as these coins will be highly sort after by investors or wealthy individuals who prefer to keep their wealth private. Privacy coins will gain in demand in 2018 as more and more countries tax and regulate the crypto world. Many of the old big BTC holders who have gain a lot holding BTC will move to privacy coins as they want to hide and protect their wealth. Right or wrong.. I do not want to comment on them but I do recognized their need for privacy; hence I am hodling XSpec.

For traditional industries,

I am holding stocks in several markets. I like JD.com and have been holding their stocks for a while. They are very innovative and will be giving alibaba a run for their money. The company is also investing heavily into their logistics infrastructure so in the future, they will be able to deliver to anywhere in China while alibaba cant as they do not have their own logistic infra.

I am also keen in the EV market so I have bought stocks in the lithium mining industry. This has been a good area and i have already gained 1x and waiting for more. 1x in the crypto world is boring haha but in the traditional markets, 1x is huge especially when you are putting in a sizable investments.

I have also been holding stocks in data storage for a while now. Been giving me good returns and I expect it to go higher and higher as the world's consumption of data grows day by day.

There are also many areas I am exploring.

If you are keen to invest for the long term, just observe the world and see where it is going.. then find the industries that will benefit the most from the long term trend. Buy into them.. you wont go wrong if you are convicted of your reasons for buying.

I invested in many kind industry but in this year i think IoT/Internet of Things and green energy will be become more popular than others because this is look new in cryptocurrency market. Some previous project that development this industry was succes and the price of the token was going up like IOTA and PowerLedger.

I am investing in crypto currency most because Crypto is going to be a so popular and many investors are investing in crypto and getting more profit.

Iam interesting in new technology IoT/Internet of Thing and AI/ Artificial Intelegence. This technology just come in to cryptocurrency space and will be many industry use it. So the development this industry will continue grow and give many benefits to the crypto community.

This industries that i really most to invest if i have capital because i believe that it will bring me to happy ending once i get millions over trading soon. This project is DIWtoken or Virtual life Security powered by blockchain. This is a biggest project that i love. I am only a pre-eaner in a bounty thread but 100% gaurantee its profitable in a long term and short term investment.

Smart contracts for me, this will be huge. IoT would also be a good option, but I have some reservations about IOTA. I'm hoping to find an IoT project that really grabs my attention.

I am most interested in investing in the innovative network companies that will push the blockchain forward to version 4. The massive increase in performance and lower costs will help the widespread adoption of blockchain technology acros most industries.

After that I have gone for service sector companies that have already working products.

Green projects sounds like a good future plan, im mostly interested tho in artificial inteligence, i think its going to be huge in a couple of years so kinda catching the early train :)

It's important to invest in the industry that solves the problems of daily necessity now. You need to invest in something that will always be in demand.

The blockchain has a great impact on reality, but I don't think it needs a system of tokens.
Therefore, I will invest in some blockchain projects related to the Internet, because I think the blockchain is inseparable from the Internet.

I think the most promising ICO industries are finance, commerce and retail, asset management, payments/wallets, gaming (AR/VR) and data/computing/AI technologies

There is an on-going project called "SpaceChain"(SPC) which is using QUANTUM blockchain to deploy satellites in Space and there are some big names associated with this project like Tim Drapper etc. The coins are still very cheap, just $0.22 as per coinmarketcap. But I am very new to crypto world, so I am just sharing this information with all of you with the hope that some one more knowledgeable can provide his advise on this project to all of us.

I like VR, Medical, Power distribution, AI and blockchain projects. I don't like: financial, gambling and especially sex/porn/drugs projects.

Im a big fan of green energy so stuff like power ledger wepower and restart energy drew me in.
Pity the latter 2 aren't doing well in this market atm, but I have faith it will soon.

Blockchain projects are probably the most hyped all the time, and there are just too many now to decide which will be the blockchain3.0 after ETH, so I just buy in on all of them!

I still searching for now and I think I do not yet find one project that makes me interested but I hope I can find one or two project which is really good for me to invest. like usual, before I decide to invest in the project, I always read their whitepaper but sometimes I don't get what their point or maybe I still need to learn about their project although I have talked to them and they give explaining about their projects.

Smart contract security is the niche for which I predict good growth, which is the reason that I have a larger position in Quantstamp.
Another focus are coins with a focus on fungibility, i.e. privacy coins. Komodo is a great project, which combines smart contracts, privacy and decentralized exchanges (also a hot topic).

I don't think projects/tokens with limited scope will succeed in the long run, e.g. tokens for the food industry, music, dentists, etc.
We need to do the groundwork first and establish mature and secure protocols, so projects like QSP/INK-protocol/KMD/WAVES are interesting to me.

similar to you, I am also not looking for one particular industry for investing all the times. If a project is seeming having valid concept and promising like having more potential then I prefer to go for risking some of my hard earned money. Looking for one similar industry for investing will be a foolish idea in my opinion because we cannot get good potential projects into same industry all the times. Hence, we must look for concept and potential for deciding investing into any project.

I like investments in consumer and consumer related industries in addition to projects out of tech ones. I bet on people population and consequent demand growth as well as on supply of new products and adoption of new services.

The most promising industry for crypto investment for me are the online gaming industry and gambling business.

Gaming

Currently I invest in 2 most sectors that are real estate and cryptocurrency. I often use the profits from the crypto market to invest in real estate, I see it as a savings of mine. I feel pretty good about this investment because it is very effective for me.

I'm interested in projects regarding gaming, virtual reality, education, and also green projects. I'm interested in gaming because I play a lot of games, which also includes virtual reality, through seeing and participating in these projects I'm updated on the latest trend and innovations. Education, because I like to know how people find ways in helping others to pass knowledge specially through projects that help poor communities grow through education. Green projects, for the same reason you stated.

This question really made me to think. I didn’t know  that I have such kind of preferences, but apparently I do. My favorite investment so far was quantstamp, so I guess I like functional projects, the ones working behind the scene. I also understood that I like reading whitepapers about the new protocols. Probably because I am engineer

For me, I am more interested in renewable energy, like solar energy, hydrogen energy, wind energy and other form of energy. And I won't forget to mention the Artificial Intelligence, I was too fascinated with AI.

Of course green project. Which this world needed most.

Definetly ,im not joining in any kind of project now,but i truly believe  and support that  all this kind of platform project is usable and good for the environment and economy.like you said this green  project ,i truly believe that its done for returning the green of all our environment,and turn back the time that our ecosystem is more beautiful and full of natural resources.

Even myself dont have a particular interest purely into a certain project which the important thing for me is that it do gives innovative way which isnt existed on the past on where it do gives convenience and positive outcomes. For me if i really have to choose then i will go for gaming industry,e-wallets. This is somehow my interest into this field but i do consider any industry as long it do benefit humankind.

I am mostly focuse on security and privacy projects ( Icos and crypto ) that have as primary foxus the security of their owners and the capacity to sustain an growing potential community behind.
Don't be fooled o the hype to certain projects that would be turns into a scam, just be aware of them .

The platform is probably the most attractive investment. However, such a multitude of projects, when you are deep on and read about an interesting project, no matter what branch it is. Mining, currency, platform, social development or games.

I prefer to invest in projects with an existing product. If it absents there but the team is trustworthy, it is possible to invest. I invest in companies , aimed at a broad audience (multimedia, services), avoiding companies related to trading.

Yes, I am also heavily invested into Internet of things related projects like IOTA or Modum. And I also like the feeless coins like XRB/Nano or GBYTe.

The gambling industry is most profitable in my opinion. There is always business for gambling projects and they always have customers.

I believe that currently the most promising ICO's are those that serve crypto industry. E.g. related to mining, exchange, lists, marketing, etc.

Real world usage and payout dividend projects are on my radar. Of course there are some exceptions.

I don’t invest mostly in cryptocurrency telling the truth. My favorite field is real estate. I invested there most of funds that I have. Cryptocurrencies are too risky to put a lot of money into them.

I prefer to investing in project that development Healthy and  Financial service for unbanked because now more than 2 billion people still unbanked and need better health and financial service for better life.

I have invested a lot , because there are a lot of such projects, which carry a huge potential and opportunities, I will not list as I just do not remember everyone. (here are a couple of them: ETH, ETH classic, Waves, Wings, Nxt, EOS and others)

Social networking, financial and market platforms and exchanges projects

I like real estate blockchain projects. ICOs like propy, atlant, beetoken etc can really disrupt the industry which is too oldfashioned yet really huge in terms of potential profits.

The truth is that I don't care about the specific type of industry. There are only two things that I will probably look into more than anything else. First is whether it is legal or not. Second is whether it looks promising to me or not. If it fails on either of the two, I will not invest.

That is how simple my formula is. But I am not claiming that I have been successful in everything I do about investment. There were times when I thought a start-up or project is going to hit it big but I was wrong in the end.

Previously I really liked real estate projects but I see now games are also a promising project and more and more people are interested, maybe this will also be my investment target
