Title: Ripple (XRP) to the moon?
Post by: rsrb on January 11, 2018, 04:38:13 PM
In light of all the volatility in the market, Ripple delivers good news. Ripple develops its winning case by announcing that they will be partnering up with MoneyGram, but what does this mean?

Well, it means that by having MoneyGram on board which will pilot their new service called Xrapid, shows that there must be something more to Ripple than all the FUD news can confirm. This may lead to more interest from institutions, therefore, removing some of the anxiety people have about buying Ripple. The implementation of the blockchain technology is a step closer to proving its real-world use.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, said, "XRP remains the most efficient digital asset for payments with transaction fees at just fractions of a penny, compared to Bitcoin fees of about $30 per transaction. Similarly, the average transaction time for XRP is 2-3 seconds with other top digital assets ranging from 15 minutes to an hour."

There has been a lot of FUD around them and speculation about who they will partner with, I have heard Amazon thrown around quite a lot but, for now, has been confirmed the partnership with MoneyGram will be moving forward.

The chief executive officer of MoneyGram, Alex Holmes, said, "Ripple is at the forefront of blockchain technology and we look forward to piloting xRapid. We’re hopeful it will increase efficiency and improve services to MoneyGram’s customers.”

We all know MoneyGram, and I think this could have a big payoff for Ripple proving to spectators that they mean business, and is not just blowing air up our ... What do you think? Ripple to the moon?

I doubt that Ripple after the fall will rise to the same level. Ripple think with success can be replaced by other coins with similar functionality.

Honestly, ripple has had a fair share of good news more than FUD. It should have even bypassed the two digit price range were it not for its excess coin supply in billions. Well, as for partnering with MoneyGram, I really don't see much difference that will bring to push price higher. Ripple is just good in the news not on the price chart. My expectations are not high on this.

Is ripple will rise again? I dont think so, from the beginning XRP just pumped so you see the price rise drastically.

They wil pump again/bounce back as several other altcoins. We just must wait, until Bitcoin will continue its upturn and that will happen the next days. Korea  government has announced, that they will "not support Bitcoin ban". I have also Ripple in my fixed portfolio.

Ripple is having a hard time trying to get a higher price because Bitcoin is getting sold so much throughout the day.

Its marketcap has increased mainly due to the support of banks and already its said earlier that ripple has been backed by banks as a competition to bitcoin.I think that its price is also pumped a little and only providing transactions at low fee would not continuously attract investors who mainly expect high returns on their investments.

I don't think Ripple price will go back above $3 this month (https://coincodex.com/crypto/ripple/). But on a long run, it's a good investment, not what cryptocurrency was meant to be but it's for sure an excellent use of blockchain technology for bank transfers.

If the current awakening continues, the Ripple XRP can reach $7 in the first half of this year, setting new records and excellent profits for traders. Although this can happen, correction waves and the possibility of a new crisis in the digital currency market are important factors that can delay this. The current target for investors in this digital currency is only $5 after which a new target is set and so, over a period of 6 months, so reaching $7 seems logical.

This digital currency may enter into a recession for weeks this year, as it did last year to see its stability at a fixed price and movement in a narrow range. Eventually, it will enter into a late awakening and jump to $7 by the end of this year, and make a very good profit for their investors.

I think the price of ripple will definitely increase in the first half of 2018, but I'm not sure how much this growth can be sustained. The backing of banks and major financial institutions is a double edged sword; it's giving people confidence but at the same time it might eventually scare people off as well, and may cause the price to eventually crash. But in the short term, it should definitely bring in money.

More banks using Ripple will not put any extra demand on the market, besides speculators. Corporate clients get their XRP directly from Ripple.

Le problème du ripple est qu'il a déjà une très forte capitalisation (navigue entre le rang 2 et 3). De ce fait j'ai du mal à croire qu'il atteindra des sommes extravagante comme le bitcoin à pu le faire.

Do you have any resource or link for this? I don't know if this is for real.  I have someone that's working from Western Union but there's no information that was given to me such thing about XRP or they are about to adopt cryptocurrencies.

She knows that I'm into crypto's.

For me I don't know why they would abandon the system there are using to jump on the Ripple platform, unless there are only going to be using Ripple for gate way to crypto space, the way banks think is that they want to own and have control over everything

Of course it is good news for Ripple , and logically price will go up, but only for a while , it will be short pump. The price is now to expensive for XRP and it must go down soon.

You said it is been supported by bank right! that is the reason many people boycotting the Ripple to go out from the crypto platform. I do believe that if ripple rises that is the growth of the ripple in the crypto currency platform.
Now this thread is no more needed also I think, even ripple also fluctuating in the market and in some days they again bumped little and started bumped in the chart as well bro. Waste of time think about it.

ripple will follow the success of old coins that were previously also less attention.

There are so many sign that ripple with time will bounce back from of which it is currently happening and the it's market value on the market capitalisation is $2.00 as at the time of this post. At this time, the initial  $3 will not be the target but higher above and which may likely become the coin of the year just like ethereum in 2017.

Long-term the price is very likely to increase substantially as we see ever-increasing adoption, and banks moving from testing to live.

Short-term the price is heavily influenced by all the South Korea chaos. First South Korean prices were removed from the coinmarketcap calculation, leading to market panic as a lot of people thought the price was dropping... then the "news" that South Korean government are banning crypto exchanges... then the news that they aren't actually banning them, they're just looking at regulation... chaos! Lots of drops and recoveries meaning it's difficult to say where it will go short-term.

So if I want to send 200$ between 2 countries, MoneyGram will buy Ripple in country 1, send it to country 2 and sell it there? If so, what if nobody wants to buy Ripple in country 2?
Or I can put Ripple onto MG and my grandma' will receive fiat?
I don't think I understood what they want to do with Ripple. However, interesting business move again for Ripple.

Oh! Now I see the reason why there was a huge buy signal on the ripple chart today. That makes it look bullish though, but I would rather not be in a haste and wait for a nice breakout signal. Funny enough, even though I have always had this thing against ripple, it seems to be gaining a lot of attention by institutions. Good for them! For holdings as investment though, still can't trust a centralized market but for trading profit, they should keep the news coming.

Nobody denies the merits of a ripple coin. It is really good at transferring money in the banking sector, delivering them in a few seconds to anywhere in the world with penny transactions. However, it must be remembered that this coin is completely centralized and controlled. That is, at any time it can print a few extra billions and throw it onto the market, rather than depreciating it. Therefore, it must be treated with extreme caution. After its recent growth and falling in price, it will continue to grow in price. It's just that someone has already made good money.

Two Korean banks Woori and Shinhan (top 5 banks in Korea) confirmed on a Korean news channel that they successfully finished testing the ripple framework and will bring it in to action soon for international transactions ! I think #XRP price will hit $5 at the end of January !
