Everything's in red right now and it's been like this for a while.
Do you think it will get back to normal as soon as closed exchanges reopen?
Is there any other reason that would explain the market being so slow today?

I really think that this was just a bear trap since S.Korea's decision was not unanimous and still subject for internal debate.

Its because the total market cap decreases. It was a peak a couple days ago with 800.000.000.000 now its back to 700.000.000.000

Patience is the key for the vault :)

where you check this? yesterday the price of everything fell. today all coins look green for that reason.
of course there will be ups and downs. if the price is falling, wait patiently and one day it will rise again :)

In current market is many coins should be green. I think your not checked in updated result. Crypto market is anytime raise or fall whatever happens in the market. The main reason is demand is increasing automatically increase the value else it will down in market. The major support of the cryptocurrency is miners, competitors and suppliers. These three are more important to the coins value. In currently many miners are affected in the market. This is the reason to fall in market.

I think market will be back stronger in next few days, mostly markets were effected by the korean ban fud but it has cleared mostly by now so hopefully investors will be taking new positions in next few days.

There is no way the market will keep growing up without any correction, if we look at where the price was this time last month then you will raised we have made a significant leap, the next rally will drive the price above $1 trillion or the market go below $500 million  market cap

surely will the price of all coins on the market will rise again in not very long time, because rightnow the market is still being effected by the deleting of Korean exchanges from the coinmarketcap, so it takes time to recover, we should be patient until it rises again.

I believe in a couple of months.it is because of the cap of the market its been decrease tho be patient for 2 or 3 months we will live an other pump again. thumbs up.

Red or green is a result between difference of yesterday vs present (24 hour).  It is easy to go GREEN after a major dip.

Say you have a coin at $100.  Dipped to $75 yesterday (red)...if it rose to $75.01 now...it will be green.  In this example, it is meaningless.

I try to ignore red/green around times like this.  I look at the graphs instead.

Today everything is green. And you can't expect the market cap to raise indefinitely. It went from 150B to 700B+ in no time. I'm glad to see some stable cap now.

Everything is green on my end the last time I saw my Blockfolio few hours ago. BTC is rising now as well as other altcoins and I do hope that this keeps up even if its a weekend because most of the time everything is in red during weekends because investors are converting into fiat.

Maybe next week all new coins will increase. not every coin once a week will keep moving up. all the coins also need capital in order to ascend to a higher price.

Soon the prices will go up again, this is the time to buy as there is less movement in the market and when the movement starts, then the prices will rise again.

Everything goes up and down, slow and fast, high and low. Don't worry, the prices soon will rise again. Its best to buy now and wait till it rise.

It is normal market will not increase always. There is a need for dumps and corrections. Even bubbles are very natural in financial markets.

This was one of the most onbious trap I have ever seen. Everything will turn green just in a month or two. Think this phase as discount era as you can buy everything in lower prices.

It has been like that for about 2 days and today already there are signs of recovery. That's after about almost a month of solid pumping for alt coins. Sometimes you need to remember context my friend. Many of us are probably down 20% or more the last 2 days but then we are probably up over 100% in the last month. The reason is because of south korea rumours of banning crypto trading, seems like that's clearing up now.

This is the general situation of the crypto market, prices are changing and we observe all of the movement. Then we make our trades accordinly, market can never be reddish or greenish completely.

To the ones saying "everything's green" ,I'm not blind ,I can read charts but it's only been like this for a couple days .
You can't deny that except for ETH and a few pumped coins, the market has been slow for the past two weeks .
If all you have to say is this, don't bother.

red is normal think if there is no more good news about crypto
we read more about problem with microsoft, korea, etc
and also no roadmap will implement in this sort days
so i think we need more time

It is difficult to know what it is going to happen with the market everything was red because  South Korea is going to ban exchanges and that is a bad news, asia is where a significant amount of the action is taking place and we are seeing more bans taking place, this is bad and as such the market reacted accordingly.

News outlets are sensationalizing the issue on South Korea that was just a regulation but using the term "ban" instead. A lot of weak holders were easily affected without even knowing the truth. But it's cleared now so I think it will go back up again.

Be patience. The secret key of succees in crypto is patience. All early adopter of bitcoin already holding bitcoin for 7 years and they deserve to get it. And we as a newbie in this world we need to wait atleast 5-6 years if we want to become btc early adopter now. The red market is normal after 1 year bullish. Its still above last year price.

this. Corrections are guaranteed to happen. Look at the past and you will see BTC has had a few 50% corrections before. It might be time for another one.

It won't take long and most everything will be rising once again and a lot of coins hitting new ATHs. Especially after tax returns roll in this year. I bet lots of people will dump new money into crypto since the word is getting around instead of putting a down payment on a new vehicle or something silly like that :o

When do you guys think will we see a consolidation in the market? I mean I don´t see the need for 100+ coins. Utility coins and tokens is a different story, and even for those only a few per use case will survive. e.g. people start already moving from BTC to ETH as they perceive it as next generation and there are more example of this kind.

Who said the prices are low? Most of the altcoins are in their all time highs, for example - > Ripple, qtum NEM, xlm, TRX and the list continues. Where do you get such information, if you took from coinmarketcap, it'd show data of 24 hours, do not confuse yourself.  This time of the year is usually the time where altcoins go in an uptrend and bitcoin remains stable or goes down trail but not in huge amounts.

Prices of most cryptocurrencies have not yet recovered after the festive season but hopefully when people are ready to reinvest their fiat which they get from their day to day jobs the their should be be some positive movement in terms of the price

A half a year ago i worried everytime when i saw market red. Now i don't pay attention at , i know that after growth goes correction. Always. Mate,now is the great time when altcoins are growing very well, cross the fingers - i don't want market to repeat the summer 2017  ;D when i almost turned grey.

Would certainly be a little panicky for someone who has bought bitcoin at a price of $16k in the past few days and currently bitcoin prices range from $13k-$14k including me. I myself buy when the price is high and then the price falls gradually. I tried to calm myself right now to not panic. because I buy bitcoin in large quantities. I keep thinking that this situation (price down) is a natural thing that happened and hope to bitcoin price recover quickly..

Do you have any idea why the marketcap decrease very significant like that?

Im sure it will bounce back to $800 biillion by next week  it only went down because of the news that south korea will ban crypto trading ,  but the truth is they will regulate bitcoin trading and as of now  marketcap is recovering slowly.

The total market is growing, I am sure the price will higher for some new coins, old coins will be more reliable, so I choose to buy some new coins and hold it tightly.

Korean news  should let buy Eth and Btc at cheap price

but btc still  suffers due to the TX fee and slow network, Eth is  the bettar est choise

this market just look like a jungle, so before enter it you must know when and how to exit and also how to survive
we can get profit because someone else loss

so i think if you ask When will prices go up again, just look at big investor mind
they will enter market with a sign
such as news, famous people tweet etc
dont late to follow or you will late to get exit too

for earlier this month looks like it is not the time. Maybe at the end of this month, the price of coins will start up again and generate a large profit again. so from that time just wait and don't sell loss.

Exactly,  Im looking for a comment like this , thanks for explaining by the way. As per the chart, we can see most of the coins are falling over the weekend and the marketcap fell as well. We cant really tell whether that specific coin was increasing or decreasing if we just look at the green and red coz that only indicates the price changes from the last 24hrs.

No one can predict and know for sure when the coin will go up. If you want to always be ready then monitor only market coins always. However, to keep in mind is to buy only when the price comes down and then sell when the price began to soar.

Red days are when you bring out your green money.  Buy whenever there's a sale.

I am not sure we are going to see a great month to be honest, flat will do me as it is much better than going down. Let's remember though to zoom out on the charts and look again. It will make things look a lot better

No one can says when the price of crypto currency raising up, anytime it is possible to increase the price of crypto currency. That's why we need to trust and believe to the ability of each one, to continue the income coming in your account. I'm sure holding and patience waiting is the best ways to earn income and become rich in the future.

I think the profit in trading is now been moved to new ICOs coming into the market, as you can see most of the new ICOs are selling out quickly unlike last quarter of 2017 when they were struggling to raise fund

in my opinion, maybe it's because new  altcoin is a lot more interesting than the old. so people are very interested to buy it and invest it., maybe in another day the red coin can give a quite attractive price.

This is really how we can make money, knowing how to ride the market is a good thing. You better to learn how to do it properly, the price of every coin is quiet dumping and I see this as a great opportunity to buy more of it. Don't panic because it will not help you better to relax and just enjoy the ups and down.

I think not everything was in red it is just almost everything was red but it seems that it's just normal events in everyday life of cryptocurrency world. If you saw red today then tomorrow it will turn green everything has their ups and down so don't be surprised by this you are in the market with lots of people buying and selling.  ;)

Actually the answer depends on the cryptocurrency you are asking. If you ask about popular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, then you do not have to worry because their prices will definitely grow to a lot. But if you ask about Altcoin and the new cryptocurrency, then I can not answer it. It needs more research, analysis, more information, and discussion. You can find the discussions in various facebook groups, and online forums. But as far as I know, the new cryptocurrency that goes into the market, surely the price will soon rise. Basically their price will all go up, but kuragu about the new Altcoin.

You are asking for something the most of them do not have, most people that learn that you can make money trading crypto are not thinking of getting long term profits they are thinking in getting a fortune in a matter of days, their expectations are unrealistic and that is why we see people desperate when the market is going down as a whole.

If you look at the history of the market we will be in a bear market for at least another month, after that we wil be going up i think.

Already few coin are return back to their original value and when compared to previous this year market correction does not harm the previous prices and already people are in profit with their investment.

on a five day average the prices are already showing a general upwards trend - with the normal intraday fluctuations...

Now there will be another wave of correction. I think only the middle of Feb maybe even the spring market will go up like last year.

Recently, the channel CNBS like Buffett said that not investing in bitcoin because they do not know how it works and everything collapses. But I'm willing to bet that he is now one of many who buys on dips bitcoin.

In two days the value of some coins went pretty deep so it can't be recovered instantly because billions of dollars are already left the market. Market needs some time to bring back those money it might be in a week or a month if another small correction happens. Anyway small corrections are healthy for the market in the long term. Most of the money can be made in a bear market quickly if you follow the trend.

I think the middle years later every new coin prices will start rising again and could generate a profit for investors. Indeed the price of the coins difficult to predict and the unexpected.

calm friend, I think all coins are in recovering now. try to see the price in the market is relatively green and I think this is the beginning of the resurrection. ;D

The recovery period is now being altcoin may be a month or two in the future will all be rising slowly and the year 2020 it climax .

I find that the BTC and other major altcoins including ETH, EOS will recover soon since many investors think they are more reliable, Then a few days later, other altcoins will follow.

It is just a normal thing for the crypto currencies to go up and down since the its price is not yet stable. You should just take the opportunity to buy when the price is low and sell when it goes up.  Be patient to wait for the right time and for sure it will go up again.

We do not know exactly when will it goes up because crytocurrencies not stable when it comes to its prices it sometimes keep rising for a couple of week but suddenly drop after that and sometimes its wavey better to make some strategy.
