Title: I Have 3 cards Hooked Up but the Computer only recognizes 2
Post by: sporeknight123 on July 09, 2011, 04:02:06 PM
I have 3 HIS 6970's
WIndows 7
CCC 11.6
4gb RAM
Sempron Processor
2 PCIe 16-16 Extender Cables
1 PCIe 4-16 Extender Cable Although it may be 8
Can any one help with this issue Im not using dummy plugs Im just using crossfire.
All the fans turn on fine and all three cards wortked fine until the computer froze which it does every few days.

My first inclination would be to re-install the drivers and see if that fixes the issue.

Just a thought.

My suggestion is use Catalyst 11.7+2.5 OCL drivers (the preview not the beta since they're very unstable). I have 3 cards on a machine and no dummy plugs or crossfire bridges, their mining good. =)
