according to me litecoin will be the third known after bitcoin and ethereum occupying the number 1 and 2 spots respectively.
LTC recently came into the spotlight with a very huge percentage increase and has not let down its investors from then but has stabilized itself.
so in case you are looking for something to invest in other than btc and eth go for ltc.

Lisk will reign supreme as 3rd top crypto eventually superseding ETH in 18 months time.

This is my list altcoin for future...
1. Bitcoin
2. Ethereum
3. Dash (i hope)

I think there is place for one of the fully anonymous cryptocoin like Zcash Moner etc.

I am really not sure about the future of any of the coins, but according to today's markets there are some chances that Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Dash might be among the top ones to be known as the 3rd well known coin in the crypro-community. I am pretty sure that Litecoin could be more usable and well-known to the community than Dogecoin, and Dash, but still they all are in the race.

On the other hand, there might be some chances for cryptoes like XRP to go further higher to have the status of the 3rd well-known crypto, but those chances are very rare. And, yeah coins like TRON and ETC could further increase among the others.

I have two good potential altcoin right now to become the third know ethereum these are:
EOS and MONERO I read some prediction that monero will be pump up so high this year the technology are awesome with some good Developer to upgrade the monero project. In the other hand EOS also have a high possibility tobe popular in crypto world since their product platform will be launch in june 2018 so meaning the price can be multiple or even more more.

For me there will be two in the list, it is just only the waves or the ripple, because ripple is known and also ripple is always the center of their topics and also the waves. These two are also an altcoin that is effective in the community and these two are also one of the best altcoins that they have been built.

I'm pretty sure it's Litecoin. Litecoin made entirely on the basis of Bitcoin. Also, he recently grew from 80 to 200+ dollars in a short period of time.

It's ripple but I hope and I want Monero to be atleast in the top 5 or even 3rd place because monero deserves it.

The struggle for the sun in the world of crypto currency is very strong. For third place, I think a lot of applicants. Neo, Stratis, Xrp, Bancor. 2018 will be decisive  8)

According to my opinion litecoin should be the third, i will also be ok with Dash and Zcash. At the moment i see ripple there.

XRP for sure,it even got the place of Ethereum, seems XRP attracts more and more banks to use XRP,its team is strong enough to make XRP be the NO.2.

You've gotten your answer mate. How there is a coin called a banker or centralized currency already sit in the 3rd place after the bitcoin and ethereum. And so, you don't need to talk about it. The fact that majority of people just known ripple as centralized banker coin.

I feel, Ripple will be the 3rd known cryptocurrency after Ethereum. After all the attention it got in late 2017 and also it has got the 2nd target market cap after Bitcoin and has a huge supply.

I think that this currency will come out on the third place - Stratis, lately it's going well.  We'll see at the end of 2018

According to my opinion their are many coins which can fill a third place Ripple,Bitcoin Cash,NEM and LiteCoin are fighting each other for that place.

ARDR can potentially be a contender in the future. I mean it's built from NXT, a working platform for years, and got great team behind it.

my prospect for the 3rd top ranked cryptocurrency will the Ripple and ADA Cardano. Ripple as the backed by the banking institution, there is no doubt that many big time corporate investors would put trust on Ripple and ADA as developed by the top notch mathematician and data scientist using the strongest and un-hackable functional type programming language the HASKELL seems to be one of the strongest crypto in the future.

My bet is
1) BTC
2) ETH
3) LTC / DASH / ZEC

Good day kleptomane . In my opinion for the 3rd place will fight NEO , XEM , LTC . Well it all depends on us who we will support . But my favorite is XEM I really believe in its prospects
