Title: Investments for 2018
Post by: conserv on January 12, 2018, 04:14:27 PM
I am fairly new to crypto. About 6 months ago I purchased about 1000 XRP and just kind of moved on with other hobbies I had. Well about a month ago I woke and seen what it had done.

I am in need of some advise. Im not going to ask what coin will "moon" or explode.

It seems that all my spare time for the last month has gone to crypto. All the way to the point that my wife is getting upset that im on my computer "looking at numbers move" opposed to listening to her.

I have scoured coinmarketcap and exchange after exchange looking for the right ones to invest in for 2018. I bookmark them and a week later they go up 1000% or more. I have been doing as much research as i can on each one I find interesting, but cant seem to choose. I have bought some.

They are

.20 bitcoin
1.12 eth
100,000 html
22,000 electra
1,500 opcoin
500,000 paccoin
35,000 linda
2,840 ebch
1,000 xrp

I have about $2,000 to invest currently. I need some direction. Like, "hey check this one out." Or "this one is interesting."

Thanks

Hunter

Check out FunFair, SONM, Ark, Cindicator, Omise, Waves & SALT, all have a great risk to reward ratio currently.

They are not pump&dump scams, so I wouldn't expect 100x returns, but they have real, quality products and a lot more coming this year. Price wise, all are capable of going 10x and it's hard to expect them falling deep, except in the case of a global crypto crash (in which case I would just buy more).

1. you can take a risk and invest in any trusted coin less than 1$ like :

A.cardano (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/cardano/): $0.826150   $239,940,000
B.tether (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tether/):$1.01   $2,855,360,000
C.dogecoin (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dogecoin/):$0.012417      $57,851,600     112,732,830,712 DOGE.

2. Use some High privacy coins like Monero and Zcash because in future we will need some privacy when using virtual money.

3. it is better to invest wisely and buy some LTC or ETH

Got it.

Ive been reading a lot about the privacy coins will be big this year.

When using exchanges, what is the best method to exchange. Bitcoin has such high fees but not every exchange has whatevercoing/eth.

Is it unrealistic for a coin to go from 0.01 to 1.00 this year? If so, what would have the best possibility?

Also, with icos is it smart to invest? Ive seen a lot of coins have a huge decline after the release.

Ok your portfolio seems fine but I'm only aware of 3 coins which is xrp , eth and btc of course. Electa as well is a good coin.
Firstly i would suggest you to invest in xlm , it is currently getting pumped but for long term wise i feel it can go hand in hand with xrp.
Second coin you should go with is either nem or ada as others suggested. Now nem has had a rough year but the end turned out really well for them. I'm sure they are working on something which will push the price even further.
For ada the only thing I'm waiting for is mining , they claim to allow users to mine pretty soon and there are rumours it might get integrated with ledger or trezor.

What is the benefit of holding tether? It's value will never increase more than a dollar, and in rare case if bitfinex screws something with it, it might vanish.

Your general choices look fine. I think you should also look at elixir. Reconsider your position on shitcoins for sure. Of course don't buy tether as its not altcoin or anything, its just shares for bitfinex to me.

If WAVES went 10x, it would be bigger than DASH and NEO are now and about 2x the size of MONERO. Do you think this is possible?
I still think most people don't understand that it is the price of BTC that drove most of these Altcoins to new ATH in fiat, if you look at them in BTC they are still under ATH in BTC.

I also agree with you Waves cannot do 10X from its current price level and justified the pump

Take a look of Ethereum

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/800x600q90/923/y1TKit.png

On my opinions the Price of an Ether will be break $5,000 by the end of 2018. It is not an issue that people today use Ether to invest in token projects. I myself have invested some in past and still investing on some new projects that have good concepts and interesting offers.

with xlm being pumped right now, is it a good idea to wait and see what what kind of lows it gets and let the pump settle down before investing?

Where could I find information like rumors or good information about good coins?

You have a very nice portfolio and good investment plan and I think most of the coins you are holding are currently doing well.  Others coins that I think you can invest now and according to some speculation that I have had are: ethereum classic, bitcoin gold, Tron, Neo, lisk, dogecoin and lite coin.  Some of the foregoing coin maybe very expensive to buy now but investing in them may turn to millions in future!

This is because most newbies take advices from pump dump groups, twitter etc? I really hasn't heard any of them except btc. You need real coins man...

My advice is to add to your portfolio Cardano (ADA), EOS and/or NEO. Some of these are at ATH at the moment, so be patient - wait and check out prices regularly. When they calm down - go for them.

For a newbie, you have good feel for the cryptocurrency market mate. I think the list of coins you are eyeing on your first post and the list in the above-stated reply are good ones to consider for both long and short term invesments. One the one hand, it is always good to have support information ready at your disposal. I would recommend for you to get an app like daneel (https://daneel.io) to help you find data, news, movement and trends that could guide you in your crypto-related actions to avoid losses and unwanted investments.

1. Waves - fastest and most scalable blockchain in the world. Real business oriented

2. Neblio - ETH with 8 programming languages. 2018 top 10 breakthrough

3. SpectreCoin

If first 2 are relatively known as both are TOP10 material and especially NEBLIO has gained x10 this month as a starter I will talk about "PoS Monero" anonymous currency that will have something in its sleeve that will surprise crypto world

and I ve already answered about XSPEC in another thread and will try repeat and clarify myself for any newcomers passing by, as I am a big believer in the project:

XSPEC's professional 15+ years cryptographers are preparing default stealth addresses and first ever in crypto staking on stealth addresses in Q2 2018.
Technical document will follow ofc.

By then stealth addresses will become the default ones and with stealth staking there will be no reason to go on public addresses again.

Besides that XSPEC already features an impressive list of tech, because of which without any shiny website, comprehensively written whitepaper or paid marketing (simply no funds for that right now) made almost x10 in one month:

- One of the best clients with fast transactions speed 30-60 sec txn's
- Integrated natively in-clinet TOR + masking TOR traffic mechanism (OBFS4) - helps to get though gov firewalls and provider monitoring
- Stealth Addresses which is a big deal if you know what they are for
- Automatically Adjusted in size Ring Signatures (screws blockchain analyzers)

So you can that it is almost makes it as I ve sad numerous times above - a Monero on PoS. A rather good compliment nowadays. We're waiting for defeault stealth addressesin[/b] - it has already had a minor explosion, soon to be the next Monero. Basically its a Monero on PoS, but will have first ever in crypto Stealth Staking. Easily 100$ price per coin in 2018

Depends on what you expect: you can keep some money in stable cryptos with no big pumps (Ethereum, NEO etc) or you can risk and find some coins, that have small market cap and invest into them expecting big pumps (SUMO, Elixir, Bitclave etc - this list is astronomic)

Gulden! (NLG)

They have a real use case ever since 2014, they have their own exchange called Nocks where you can quickly buy using Eur , directly (but it's also available on bittrex BTC-NLG)

and they will launch PoW2 real soon

https://gulden.com/pow2

They are also top #3 in Finance category on NL apple App store :)

With hundred of merchants already accepting Gulden, and with the potential to even replace Euro in the Netherlands, Gulden is the coin to go, do your research, buy some and thank me later :) :)

I believe the best ICO of 2018 will be WePower (http://wepowernetwork.go2cloud.org/aff_c?offer_id=2&aff_id=1411). WePower is a blockchain-based green energy trading platform. It enables green energy producers to raise capital by issuing tradable energy tokens.

It is supported by the government, managed by incredible team and advisors and there is a huge community behind it. However you should be fast because whitelist period is ending soon.

Waves is a very solid project, you may want to look it.
Sumokoin is a developing coin that I believe will reach high in 2018. Xspec is another one, although much mystery surrounds it.
I would as well look at Siacoin, Voise, Sigil.

Ps. I also like the project behind siacoin.

PRL/ODN/NEO/CAT(BitClave)/ENG/XLM/WAVES/ARK/XSPEC

I've researched the white papers, roadmap, dev, etc and they all look promising. Make sure you do your own research though.
