Title: Why buy COSS
Post by: Hardva on January 13, 2018, 02:04:55 AM
Well, a week ago I researched about this cryptocurrency and the price was 0.2 $, now it is 2,118 $. I regret not having bought.
Apart from his arrival at x10, I see that it is a platform, exchanger type, with great aspiration, practice, easy to use, beautiful. But very apart from everything, I do not see any new updates to come, maybe your low $ 138 M marketcap is something tasty to invest.

opinions?

What updates do you mean?

even its exchanger platform is primate, it lacks study graphics and others, for the rest it is very attractive, it accepts deposits from distant coins, BTC and ETH mainly.
The rest: LTC, Civic, KIN, Ark, etc ...

I bought at $0.2 late last year and sold at about $1.90. There was no reason for me to keep holding. I felt the token was overpriced, the dividend system requires a 0.002 eth fee to convert most altcoins (which even after 4 months I hadn't earned enough to cover this fee), and the others were earning earning a grand total of like 0.1 cent per month, even at 20 cents per token it was only like 1% return per year.

I agree with you i think the token price is too high right now, I will wait for a dip to buy back in, which I think it's possible

I can tell you why.
First remind cryptocurrency market is increasing and is still doing so.
Everyday new investors are coming everyday.

This exchange coin is a sleeping giant.
Please have look at at BNB from Binance and KCS from Kucoin.
They started similiar with small prices and are now both in the top 100
with around 20$ per coin.

COSS is around 2$ now like you say, made a rapid jump already and this is not over yet.
This will go the same way at least 10x or more I predict for this year.
So jump on the train you r still right in time to make really soild and safe GAINS ! :)

I opened an account a couple days ago, and transferred some BTC so I could buy some COSS. Waited until there were over 80 confirmations in the block explorer and the balance still didn't show up in the account for trade. In the mean time, the price of COSS kept rising. It was late so I had to go to bed.

The next day, the balance finally showed up. I went into the exchange and tried to buy, but nothing happened after clicking the "BUY" button. Tried both limit order and market order, tried very browser on three different computers, same result. There were no message on the web site, so eventually I found that someone had asked about it in their Telegram group and the answer was there was some maintenance going on. For the next few hours, the price kept rising when supposedly no one could submit new BUY orders... Anyway, when it finally accepts orders, I didn't want to buy at the new market price, and entered a limit order at the price 24 hours ago. I will wait a few days and withdraw the BTC if the price never come down to trigger the order. I know the price could rise much further but I don't care. Fingers crossed that the Withdraw button will work when I need it...

I think it will grow more and more, there is huge demand for exchange related tokens now, as we have seen the success of bnb and kcs. Also have a look at cob tokens they will soon follow the kcs path.

I'm quit agree with you.
For the cryptocurrency market, as long as there are more and more people come to this market most of the crypto coin would raise to a great price from now.
However, which one can stand at its high price for long that would mostly count on their functional system.

The dividend value will be pretty bad unless you hold some real numbers of COSS. If the exchange volume hits 500.000.000 per week, your part will be around .15 USD a share per week. If you hold 100.000 COSS congrats. If you hold 1.000, not so much congrats.

Coss will share their profit in trading fee for users whom hold Coss token, its the same to BNB, KCS and this is great chance for stable passive income. For that reason, the price have increase, and its price will keep increase in future.

Coss implement dividend method to the token holders but i was feeling doubt about that, That means coss token can be considered as security token according to the SEC compliance. But if we are talking about the demand of crypto that increased a lot and then i can say to invest in the token based exchange site can be considered as a very good move.

Spoiler Alert: Coss isn't a money making machine.

It just lives of the KuCoin hype. To generate dividends there has to be actual trading volume on the exchange which KuCoin has and Coss definatelly has not. Coss is waay overpriced.

COSS is an easy x100

BNB => Billons of daily volume but used "just" to pay less fees" => 20$
KCS => 250M of daily volume, will distribute 15% of fees between all KCS holders => 20$
COSS => less than 10M daily volume, 50% of fees distributed to all COSS holders => 2$

COSS should be at least 3x more valuable than KCS at an equal volume and with less than 10M now it has a lot of potential to grow. The exchange may not be attractive and full of bugs right now but it has a new UI tomorrow i think, a new engine this Q1 and fiat will come this year. Also there is some interesting and valuable rare coins : Kin, Datum, Fidentiax and more listed soon next week.

Let's say COSS reach 1 billion volume this year which is a decent neutral goal if you compare to KCS this is a value of 20*4*3 = 240$ which is a x100 from now
Bear case let's say 500M daily volume which should be a minimum with fiat and the growth of global market cap, and we will assume COSS is only 2x more valuable than KCS and not 3 times :  20*2*2 = 80$ which is still a x30 from now
Bull case it could reach 1000$ with a volume similar to Binance.

We can't judge an ICO by past or present information table. The best thing is to consider if they have a provision to scale their project in the future. Low cap coins also have potential, beside if Coss has x100 it would be right to jump in anytime soon.

Impressing and quite reasonable im my opinion. The reward is better and by the time there are more coins to exchange it can easily go 10x. This is barely a speculation rather a mathematical fact... I will invest

Strange calculation :D

Why so complicated? Let's see Kucoin or Binance market cap. They are both over 1.000.000.000$. Kucoin @1.6B$ and Binance @2.2B$.
COSS is actually around 170M$. If they reach Kucoins Market Cap, which could propably happen, if they deliver, than we will get a 10x from now.

More important in my case is the 50% token fee dividend. If COSS (10M$) will reach the daily trading volume of Kucoin (200M$), than the dividend will raise 20x.
So you'll get a estimated monthly dividend of 115$ if you hold 1000 COSS Coins. If it will reach the volume of Binance (4000M$), than the dividend will raise 400x.
So you'll get a estimated monthly dividend of nearly 2300$.

I think that the overall trading volumes will increase this year. Especially if everything get a bit more easy and you're able to buy coins via fiat.

I see a great future for COSS :) I'm on board since October!

It's hard to say, if it is too late.
I think a still 10x is possible this year. But accumulating COSS Tokens for this price is hard... but look at Kucoin/Binance with over 20$. So you'll still can buy 10x more Coins and get probably 20x more dividend than now :)

Yes... Sitting on my 5,5k Coins since October. HODL is still the best decision^^

One month ago, COSS was at $0.15, now it is at $1.6 - has COSS (the exchange) now 10x the volume? No, they don't.

If the bull market continues and COSS is able to grow 10x or more, the current price might be good, but what happens if we are in for another 2 years of a bear market? The token might go back to < $1, or the exchange might even go bust.

Personally, I think all exchange tokens are way overvalued right now, including COSS. CEFS seems to me the best of the bunch, because Cryptopia has been around for years, is growing steadily and they are based in New Zealand, not China.

Actually COSS prices today fell very low and this depends on the mentality of the crowd because the market is showing signs of going down very fast. I think at this point I should consider investing in COSS because I am sure in the next few days the market will recover

It dropped because the UI rollout yesterday didn't go as smooth as some would have hoped. Since the market is so impatient, they dumped it pretty hard. But the COSS team made it very transparent this is how it would go. It's just a matter of time as they continue to develop the platform that this coin takes off. This is 100% the cheapest you will ever see this coin. Easy 5x by next month as the new engine rolls out

I think COSS is a promising platform. Their plan to integrate fiat gateways can make it a very valuable investment if they succeed. In addition, they have afaik at least as good of a dividend policy as competing coins.

I believe they've been held back a while because of a quite frankly poor user experience on their exchange, which the new ui will hopefully take care of eventually.

A possible 1 billion coin for sure

In my own words:

COSS is an exchange which is unique in the fact that the platform shares 50% of revenues with the token holders
Before I move onto the next section, I want to make something very clear... When you read more, it may sound as if I’m negative about COSS. That’s not the truth at all!

Basically, COSS are claiming to have a whole range of unique features. I think that they only have one; the profit-sharing on the exchange.

Well, two actually, because I like the fact that they will also have pre-paid cards in the future. While this isn’t unique necessarily, it is rare enough that I count it as another potentially great feature.

However, there is no date given for when the cards will be developed and released, so there could be many Crypto cards by the time they actually release it

Title: Re: Why buy COSS
Post by: Shpongled on January 16, 2018, 02:12:47 PM
You're missing out on 3 main points:
- Reminder on dividends: they will indefinitely remain at 50% of revenue, while KCS will eventually drop and while BNB/Bibox are only about trading fees
- ICO platform: there has already been 4 ICOs on the platform, and more to come
- Main selling point: fiat is to be implemented in Q1 2018 (€/$ deposits/withdrawals). Kraken is also suffering a lot in terms of UI and still manages to have $500m trading volume on average. At this level, a holder of 10k COSS would make around $500 a week

So lots of room to grow. Key issue seems to be the platform and its usability, leading to the only significant trading volume being done on COSS pairs (c. 80%). A very positive thing with the COSS team is how they're listening to their stakeholders on the Telegram. They've set up yesterday a Trello with c.15 web developers helping them fix their bugs. They are hiring a front end developer next week and a back end developer in the next month or so from my understanding. This is why I'm a long term holder.

Because of %50 profit share and they wouldnt share less than %50 Kucoin wants to reduce share percentages to %20. And the team behind COSS for sure.

When I first heard about Coss, I tried the exchange and thought 'this is awful, I'm not buying any Coss tokens'. I regret that decision now!

However this thread is making me think there is still a lot of potential in this exchange and coin. It sounds like they are taking the necessary steps to improve the site and make it a genuine option to trade on. The big thing I noticed after not visiting it for months was that they now use trading view charts which is a massive improvement.

Bear with me as I try to make sense of the token...

The trading fee is 0.2%

Total trading volume is $4,500,000 giving a daily fee income of $9000

50% goes back to COSS holders, so $4500 a day.

Current COSS circulating supply is 63,556,571

So if I buy 1000 COSS then I will recieve (1000/63556571)*4500 = $0.07 daily depending on the volume.

Have a understood this correctly???

You're almost right but what you need to keep in mind is the following:
Reducing your value
- There are actually more circulating COSS, c.98m, not sure why CMC is stating that figure but we have the number of circulating COSS each week in our dashboard, reducing a bit this number
- Trading fees are degressive according to the amount you're trading, you can find the exact breakdown in their whitepaper

Increasing your value
- Trading fees are paid twice (for the buyer and the seller), so you need to multiply by 2
- Fees will not just depend on the volume: you receive dividends for fees for ICOs, for withdrawals, for fiat deposit in the future...

All sounds reasonable, thanks!

It makes sense that the trading fees are dynamic, 0.2% is worse than other exchanges such as Binance with their 0.05%.

I will keep an eye on the price and buy some when the time is right.

This is still the beginning for COSS. Wait til they have the new engine, tighten up the UI, and implement other roadmap milestones.

Just keep COSS for a long time or keep it up until the end of 2018 and you will certainly get a lot of good profits as my predictions COSS prices will probably go up very high and will hit the price $ 10 at the end of 2018

Just keep in mind that COSS is OLDER than Kucoin and has crappier volume and worse website (even compared to crap Kucoin website) and way lower volume.

Atleast Kucoin has NEO ICO listings going for it, COSS has nothing...

Id stay away from COSS.

I chose between coss and kucoin. I chose kucoin as a larger stock exchange. Now, while serious drawdown, but I will not sell anymore. I'll wait for the price to rise, I hope this will happen soon.

All exchange coin like COSS, BNB or KCS are also good coin and have very good potential in the future. But for me I'll not invest in COSS cause I feel coss.io is not a good exchange, it's very slow that why I avoid trading in this exchange. For now I'm holding BNB and KCS, they're Binance and Kucoin private coin and Luckily I bought these coin when the downtrend was happening so I bought it at lowest price.  ;D

we will see if those exchange tokens like bnb kcs and coss will go up again when bitcoin become stronger or not. bnb is a bit priced but coss and kys is still cheap. i think it is a good time to buy coss at the moment because whenever this exchange becomes popular profit will be very high.

Coss is a very ambitious project and it wants to include a lot. Its platform aims to cover all the characteristics of a digital economic system. I think it will take time for the project to fully develop, but if they succeed, Coss will have a lot of potential in the future. It's true that the volume of Coss is still small but I think it can have a long journey. Since the end of the ICO the team has worked hard and has been improving the platform. It lacks marketing, but little by little they are doing things. There are trading competitions, and promotions, in addition to the distribution of fees among the holders of the token. I hope that over time all this will help to increase the volume considerably.

Is it true COSS gives you like interest for holding COSS?  So for example i buy $1000 worth of COSS, how much coss would i get per week, month and year etc holding it in the wallet?  And lets assume COSS stays at the same price.

The other thing is where do you guys buy COSS?  Binance and bittrex does not have it.

Also do you have to store it in coss wallet to get the interest etc?

For more information you must register in COSS and go to "Dashboard". This is the information that appears:

Quote
In order to receive the fee split tokens that you are entitled to, there are two options:

Keep your COSS tokens inside your COSS wallet on the platform. You don't have to do anything else!

or

If you keep your COSS tokens in an external wallet (for example, a cold wallet), you need to set up the Token Based Fee Split Allocation distribution for that wallet by making a call to a special function in the COSS Token smart-contract. You can do that by following the tutorial available here.

Here you have a tutorial https://coss.io/coss-token-based-fee-split-allocation-tutorial

You can buy coss in two markets (hitbtc or exchange of coss). https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/coss/#markets

I dont know this coss exchanger but if its really low fee then its really huge potential.
Low fee is most exchange which we look for. So not only the popularity but low fee can be important reference for us to choose it or not.

But you have to wait until COSS will get more popularity.

KuCoin got popular so fast and is a noted name today. COSS has to do something to gain traction. Otherwise, they will be some other alt shill coin soon. I don't see exchange gaining volumes since last few months.

Do you think it's worth buying long-term and reaping x10-x20, or at the first opportunity to sell immediately, as soon as the price rises by 20-30 percent?

KuCoin is a Binance cut/paste that has lower market cap coins. It didn't create anything new or unique. COSS is building their own UI/engine and adding fiat credit card integration, there are a lot of new concepts being implemented that don't exist at scale anywhere else. This takes time.

AFAIK, the problem with COSS is nothing more and nothing less that the team is tiny for what they have in their hands.

It seems they hired more coders a month ago and since then everything is going faster.

They need to be fast, otherwise Binance, KuCoin etc will outrage them.

Do you think that price will go up? And credit-cards will be real in the future?
