Title: Blockfolio ... you are killing me
Post by: Crypington on January 13, 2018, 04:25:33 AM
I opened Blockfolio to see my portfolio valued at $22.3 million.   ???

Looks like some shitty airdrop coin is being reported as $195k each.

Ok, it knew it had to be a mistake from the get go, but still...

I use Blockfolio only for day by date of my holding not for total valuation of my holding. Sometimes total value zoom to moon. but for watching rates of coins Blockinfo is very good.

These wrongs in the Blockfolio always comes with coins on Etherdelta exchange.Whenever Someone got rekt on small amount in ED , Blockfolio goes with that value and make us heart attacks. Blockfolio need to come with a solution for this.

It looks you must try to delete some of your shitty coins. Because if you are not putting that coin into your portfolio and then try to fill with with reliable coin. There are so many shitcoin that already pumped to the moon just like janus coin and it can become an example for you.

it's quite funny acutely when you open your blockfolio and find the value of you holdings 2 million or even more which is not true of course  :) but blockfolio still a good app for me the value it's not his fault i think it review the last buy and sell order for such a coin and if you opened the exchange you will the mention sell order at the top of orders history someone trying to drew attention for the relative coin

You couldn't reply on a single phone App like blockfolio because that's only a reference how much your estimated asset worth, if it displays to much worth then it likely presents wrong reference but that's normal since it only capable on fetching internet data and display then right away.
That's why I'm using not only Blockfolio but also Delta, they have both many features in common but I like Delta more because their user interface (UI) is more interactive than the other.

Blockfolio only fetches information on the internet so it depends on how data pulled out from the web and translate them and displays results right into the app user interface but we all know that it's for monitoring only and that's not the exact value but only estimated. So, there's no prefect application and if you're not comfortable with blockfolio then Delta has more features than blockfolio although they're doing the same thing.

i love the blockfolio app. If you have some shitcoins in it, you often wake up as a millionaire. It is not that bad until you realise someone got some shitcoin from etherdelta at x100 of its real price. Last time happened I was a $OHNI millionaire. Funny stuff.

That's an instant-millionaire-for-a-very-short-period-of-time app. I think it's natural to some software/application to have a glitch that have never seen before during their beta stage. My friend also experienced a glitch on the application he is using in mining where he received trillions of BTC in his wallet but later back to its original amount that he had in his wallet.

Blockfolio is only depends on the value that are given by websites because it has no direct access to the Crypto-Currency exchange sites.
But I think it's ok and don't freak out because it's only shows you an estimated asset value and the only thing could show you exact value is the cryptocurrency exchange sites like Etherdelta.

I get it. I still like to use coinmarketcap instead of having that app installed on my phone because of that very reason.
