In the past 2 days Kraken was offline. They planned some maintenance which should last a few hours, but in the end it took 2 days as they encounterd a lot of problems.
In the latest status update I read "withdrawals are temporary suspended".
I'm pretty sure that withdrawals is referring at least to cash withdrawal. But I'm not sure if it also refers to crypto withdrawal. What do you think?
Is it possible, at this moment, to transfer crypto (for example Ripple) from Kraken to another exchange?

I can't wait withdrawals enabled... To escape this crapy 520error market ASAP.

I have exactly the same thought.

I'm not sure if they also disabled crypto withdrawals, but probably did. Cause they are scared that everyone will move their money.

Earlier today, when they wrote everything should work again, I directly had the 520error again. Now I succeeded to login, but according to their latest status update they paused trading.

Im glad I moved almost everything off a few weeks ago.  I am sure if / when it is fully restored there will be a lot of movement.

Cannot escape this dumpster fire fast enough.

Never could withdraw my fiat after cashing in some BTC.  Fought to get verified for 6 weeks and they kept rejecting my photos.  Meanwhile I'm verified on Coinbase and numerous other sites...

Kraken has lost the trust of many users, even after down for three days withdrawals are still disabled.

Please read through our latest blog post (https://blog.kraken.com/post/1449/kraken-returns-with-free-trading/) for details on how long it will take for certain features to return to normal. Withdrawals will be initiated after 12 hours and margin liquidations will be paused for at least 48 hours.

Please note that everyone should be extremely careful with market orders and double-check limit order prices in an illiquid market.

They replaced their trading engine and the swap did not go smoothly. They warn that it could go down again with no warning - https://support.kraken.com. As an apology all non-margin trades are free until Jan 31. Withdrawals were disabled until at least now (said at least 12 hours longer, 12 hours ago), and potentially longer. Fiat or crypto deposits require minimum 2 days. I was never happy with their UI and slow approval process more than a year ago so moved onto greener trading pastures and never looked back - happy I did!

I am also extremly diasspointed with the performance of Kraken. Always down and the problems with the updates. The problem is I am not aware of any decent exchanges were you can trade with Euros, except for sites where you buy at a hefty permium. Any suggestions on alternatives?

 I moved part of my cryptos from Kraken to Bitstamp months ago and that has been one of the best decisions I have taken in my life, I only regret not having moved all of them.
 Kraken is a headache in all senses, soon or late they will make you angry for one or other reason. I lost a lot of money time ago because of their buggy trading engine, I could not close positions when they where on profit and I had to do it later on losses.
 Now, with this unbeliveablely unprofessional update, they have stolen a lot of people's money again with margin trades that where open while the site was down. The funny thing is that they even have charged the margin fees in the down period, which is insulting at least.
 I could not close my margins with porfits because they were down for 3 days (when they had anounced 2 hours), and now I have to do it with losses again.
 Cannot wait to see the withdrawls active again to run away from these thieves.

 Bitstamp works quite well and confidently for me (the only problem is they don't have margin trade but I can live without it now), but I am sure any other trade will be better  than Kraken. Just avoid Kraken and you will skip a lot of problems and anger.

Anoyone know or have any ideia if is there any chance to transfer ETH today to Metamask from Kraken platform???
I have read your comments  about the Withdrawal function being disabled and because of that i cannot buy Envion with my ETH in my Kraken wallet due to this disabled function...

Still no withdraw available... 12 hours have passed even 24 hours now :) please fix it ASAP! This is blocking anything that comes it can't go out..

At one hand I' really annoyed because of the downtime and the unavailable withdraws (got myself a couple of coins there).
But they had to do something, last 2-3 month it was not really usable without maximum frustration.

So if they mange to improve their stuff and get the exchange back to full functionality, within the next week, I'm still satisfied.

Today I bought some crypto and the platform does preform much better. I don't know how quick other exchanges are so I can't compare. But I think it could and should be just a bit quicker. But for me this is acceptable.

Still, Kraken was partially unaccessible today 520 error.

What are they doing? They have so many problems, because of them I dont't have that much profit I could have it. i have to wait 2 weeks for money approvement. I hope they solve these necessary problems

Don't hope and read the reviews since 2016. Kraken is awful, actually all exchanges are really bad as their trading engines as well as billings and support teams were built to manage thousands of customers while they faced millions. Per my own experience it's better to deal with Bitfinex, Bitstamp or Cex and deposit and withdraw in crypto, while exchanging crypto to cash with some local dealers like localbitcoins.

Kraken is going down, Me and my friends switched over to Paxful already

What are other good alternatives with fiat to crypto?

They are also not accepting new users. At least their verifications. Which is odd and annoying

Hi ntomas248. Withdrawals are activated, but If a token is sent to the sending address, your funds will be sent to the ETH withdrawal address, which may result in your tokens being unrecoverable.

The only ones I know is Bitstamp and Bitsquare (bisq.network). Bitstamp is fast and good imho but has incredible high fees. Bitsquare I never testet.

I think it'll be ok next week. So just wait or migrate to another exchange

I must say that I am once more disapointed by Kraken. I tried to withdraw a few coins today and the systems keeps telling me that this action is not available for tier level 3. This is abolutely ridiculous, since I should be able to withdraw high amounts at this level. Not a single day without a bug on Kraken. I will be glad to leave the exchange for good.
