Are they really CDY coins or some kind of IOUs that you have to trade in for real CDY?

they are just Bitcoin Cash fork, if you had Bitcoin Cash (BCH), you will get Bitcoin Candy coins (CDY).

The network bitcoin is reliably protected from hacking using traditional computers, however, it is vulnerable to quantum computers. And they can appear in 10 years. Therefore, January 13 Bitcoin Candy should be born - a coin with anti-quantum protection.
An interesting coin, I would advise keeping

I don't understand why you would fork off of bitcoin cash... If you are a fork you can do anything you want, just fork off of bitcoin and do all the same changes to your project. Honestly there are a million things you can do better than bitcoin cash. I really think bitcoin candy is just a ploy to pump the price of bitcoin cash. Dump incoming!

gosh this looks so fishy, i mean what quantum computer attacks are we talking about, how the hell do we know the limits of a thing nobody has any idea about. only way to defend from a quantum computer is to be the first human ever to get a hold of it and they sure don't look like those.

Fork of a fork... we need to go deeper  8)
Not a chance this will become big, mostly because of its infantile name.
I really believe that name matters, at least in some percentage. When you have something that silly as candy... I don't know, maybe candycrashsaga (match3 game) could be your only chance for adoption.
easy to 4k - hard to maintain
Being more serious, Im positive that you won't loose with this investment. You wont become billionaire either.
It will gradually grow as all cryptos these days... to a point.

I got the message from Viabtc that Bitcoin candy would be created after a hard fork on January 13th and total marketcap of coins would be 21trillion and it would be issued in the ratio of 1:1000.I hope that by this time,it would be now available for trading.

You can't buy it, it's a fork of bitcoincash. I'm opposing this type of forks which we actually don't need. It's just to create another useless hype coin on the market, I don't see any other pupose on this.

This is another fork that nobody needs. I guess this coin has no future. I will not hold this coin if the exchange will give it to me for free. I support BTC and sell forks straight when I get them.

I hear you all, but just for fun I will keep them, as they are not worth much at the moment..

this is best thing to do

So Bitcoin Candy is a fork of a fork? What a name. Good branding? It is making me crave.

Is this thing listed on CMC or just futures?

it's fork of Bitcoin Cash. that's the reason why Bitcoin Cash price is high.

I dont really think this candy would make any difference it will be another Bcash scenario of the community, but Bitcoin White is a legit and a solid forked coin from bitcoin it is a privacy related coin like XMR which will open a new breed of privacy coins for the people.

I guess it's some sort of  a plan to increase liquidity on coinex. There was no big  trading volume in BCC pairs on other exchanges. But I think they attracted new users to coinex after all

they promote both BCH and CoinEx by this fork.

Not that deep. You are a fork of your mother and father, and they are forks of their parents. And so on. It's the most natural thing in the world. You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.
