so what is this airdrop?
in about 30 days safex will migrate from the current btc blockchain onto the new Safex blockchain
you will have to send your safex tokens from the btc blockchain to the new safex wallet on the safex blockchain, that will convirt your tokens
and that will also airdrop safex cash into your wallet.
So your safex tokens will convirt 1:1, + you will get airdropped 0.0023 safex cash for every safex token you own.(230 safex cash per 100.000 safex tokens)

But why are there not more exchanges?? as long as Safex is on the btc blockchain paying an exchange to add Safex would be throwing money away.

Massively undervalued, so happy I'm an early adopter.

It has a real-world need, and the Dev team is solid.

Once it's on more exchanges, it will soar. Oh yes and the dividends it will pay back to holders will incentify holding the coin.

SAFEX is a good altcoin that I have researched from before. I have also invested in SAFEX and still keep it up till now. I am delighted that the SAFEX management team has consistently implemented the plan and roadmap set out to lead SAFEX to this day. I hope that this year SAFEX will have a great development to be in the top coin with the largest trading volume on the market cryptocurrency.

I hope so! I bought this on Bittrex and soon after it was delisted. It has almost no volume on Cryptopia. The wallet is very good and so is the website. I think the developers need to work on marketing because it looks like a good product.

I prefer Syscoin over Safex, at least they have real product and not whitepaper. Syscoin will release blockmarket in the first quarter of 2018 and the project is still undervalued and better than Safex

It is one of the good projects I can see it but I do not think safex is the new big thing or any other coin is the new big thing. There are two big things in the market: bitcoin and ethereum.

The Github activity is very low and SAFEX has been delisted from Cryptopia last month because the devs didn't upgrade their wallet with a  omni upgrade fast enough. This is not really a good sign imho.

I bought SAFEX a while back at Cryptopia, planning to never look back again and hodl. I now realized that checking up on your coins is essential, as Cryptopia has suspended trading and put a 1500SAFEX withdrawal fee on the coin. I like Cryptopia but this is steep (around 100usd at some point last week to transfer SAFEX out of Cryptopia). Hoping to be able to keep my SAFEX at Cryptopia and hoping to see SAFEX roar......

there was a problem with all omni wallets , and cryptopia (maybe) delisting safex because of people sending them a lot of hatred about having the safex walllet in maintenance.
they are still thinking about a final review before delisting safex.
also if you would just see the weekly dev updates you will see that they are very active.

As per CMC, its available on TradeSatoshi and Cryptopia. While TradeSatoshi has disables registrations and Cryptopia has stopped trading, I don't see a way out to get my hands on this one. Any pointers please?

As an early supporter and champion of Safe Exchange, I was a bit disheartened by the delistings. That being said, the politics behind those events are always shady, not on the SAFEX developers side but the opposite. Soon SAFEX will be in the portfolios of some of the major "whales" if it isn't currently.

Very good and interesting project, developers seems have a good idea for their product, when I tried using their wallet seems like a safe place to store and invest your coins into, maybe the value of coins is under appreciated because it is not yet quite known in the market today so we'll just have to wait for the price to pump up again.

I still have my Safex in bittrex, are they safe there for the long term? Currently the fee for withdraw them are 100Safex while I saw a lot of people complaining for Cryptopia fees.
My question is, where do you recommend to store our Safex now? Is not posible store them in MEW, right?

Development:

    Alpha development phase is complete. This means that the Safex blockchain is ready, and that SafexCash is being test-mined; Dan stated that the Safex blockchain could be released even now, but that he doesn’t want people mining SafexCash before being closer to marketplace release;
    Beta development phase is in progress, which includes design of the marketplace and its implementation “on top” of the blockchain.

Institutional:

    A new company called “Balkaneum” has been established (privately funded), to develop Safex - www.balkaneum.com, with Dan as its CEO;
    The company is currently recruiting management staff and developers (you can see the vacancies on the website);
    A new advisor/developer has also joined the team - Medhi Bechina, who is working for Lazada, one of AliBaba companies. Medhi has a lot of experience with e-commerce platforms and will be working on the wallet and marketplace development;
    A new office for Balkaneum has been rented, and is being renovated.

New Blockchain - coin swap and airdrop:

    Once the new blockchain is to be released, two things will happen. Existing Safex tokens (on BTC blockchain) will be swapped to a “new” Safex token on Safex blockchain, using 1:1 ratio. The new Safex token will continue to serve as “shares” of the marketplace;
    A new cryptocurrency called SafexCash will be airdropped to Safex token holders during the coin swap (around 0.0023 SCash per 1 Safex token). SafexCash is to serve as the currency of the marketplace. The coin itself will be PoW, so minable.(edited)

    According to Dan, he paid for one new higher-volume exchange, and Safex is being integrated. This should solve the current trade volume issues;
    Safex should also launch on the Next Exchange. Some technical issues with the wallet are being resolved, so we don’t have a specific date. But it should be soon.

Handy to come across this thread, I moved my Safex from Bittrex into a Safex wallet when it got delisted at the end of last year. Have been keeping up to date on their social media channels, but good to find some more investors. I don't really know about SAFEX but I think if it one to become the next big thing, it need to be listed on a better exchange than Tradesatoshi and cryptopia. At the moment, trading volume of SAFEX is really low, only more than 30k$ after 24 hours. I think it need a miracle to become the next big one :))

You dont know anything. The exchange situation is not of any concern for the progress of safex.
At this point i couldn't care if the price is 1 or 1000 sats.

That's only PnD coin, i remember there was an article that was leaked about the truth of mcafee getting paid to shilling the coin. Almost a year and exchange has not yet launched. That's a horrible thing.

Yes plaak exchange is working with safex. But at this point exchange listings are not a priority. First the launch of testnet this month and mainnet in july. When we are on our blockchain the exchanges are a high priority. And also the safex cash airdrop will follow soon

im not sure what r u talking about... SAFEX wallet was never locked on Cryptopia, only when is in maintenance. Also, it only cost 75 to withdraw.

perhaps it is a question of minimum restrictions on the withdrawal of certain coins. If there is any minimum, then you can not withdraw coins to another purse. in any case, there is such a minimum for sale, but I have not come across a conclusion.

The last official update from me came in February. During that time we had just begun the expansion of the company called Balkaneum.
