Is they totally banned crypto currencies.I don't think so they are just regulating the crypto currency exchanges on their country and they may create their own cryto currency soon.So they are not totally againt cryptos they just want it to be regulated or else there maybe illegal activities can be done with cryptos.Surely the price will rise when there is a clear announcement of South Korea about their state with crypto currency.
This is not the only reason for bitcoin price fall some altcoins are bumping so people want to transfer their bitcoins to altcoins due to higher transaction fees in bitcoin.

This is not the first time we see a difficult market, just be more careful while the storm passes.

Yes but I think it's not a good news if they want regulating the crypto currency market: the people love crypto precisely beacuse it's an "uncontrollable world", decentralized and outside the law! Onestly I don't like this situation!

Cryptocurrencies Cap was $500B before New Year and now it is $700B+, where are you seeing end? Where is the difficult time?
For me currently it is boom period for cryptocurrencies. It is not Bitcoin which going down but other coins coming up. From 2010 up till now, December 2017 - Jan 2018 were/are the best months for ICOs. The amount invested in ICOs and cryptocurrencies was highest till now. Moreover, have a look on charts of cryptocurrencies. You will find that 6 of 10 have sudden increase in these two months like one given below:

On the other hand, as far as Bitcoin is concerned, second half of 2018 gonna be boom for it. Expert Analysts have already estimated that it will see some correction in first half, no need to worry.

Look at coinmarketcap.com crypto's loss rate after Korean's news...
I don't think cryptocurrencies will die but it certainly cannot be said that it's a good time for this market! I am worry just beacuse , as I said before, the people love crypto precisely beacuse it's an "uncontrollable world", decentralized and outside the law! If Korea really want regulating the crypto currency market it's not a good news!

Not the bad news of Korea. Even China has ordered blocking the exchange sites. I think this is the hardest time ever. need to calm down. and pass this stage. I think it will overcome this storm in the next few days. or by the end of February

On Monday, Cointelegraph reported on how Korean authorities would likely stop short of an outright cryptocurrency exchange “shutdown,” but had introduced fines for users unwilling to use personal identification data on crypto exchanges in the country. Pundits suggest the price correction is a ‘healthy’ one, while a flurry of mainstream media articles hints at the bursting of the cryptocurrency ‘bubble’ yet again.

It seems like the banning of China, alts and btc drips too high, it seems really a bloody dump for some alt, but as we see what happened in China banning, the effect is just temporary, everything will be dine just don't panic ans try to buy a lot now if you have seen potential alts.

The clear answer is yet. Korea is the new China and their FUD news will be done soon as well. These are authorities trying to regulate it in the way they can. Koreans will also not let their citizens go broke and give them a means to cash out to keep the wealth in the country.

Yes, it is more likely about some regulations just as it was before. And besides, people are signing the petition for the government to stop their actions anyway. I really think we now experience the repeated version of this September. The prices might go down even more but that's the greatest time to invest in coins when we still can. We already saw which coin can do what and so now we can just buy them and low prices and wait for about a month till we earn our profits.
Moreover, in a way it's even good that Korea is making the market drop, because then some other people will buy them low and thus the market will become more independent from Koreans and thus more stable and natural.

Don't be worried about the price. Market is so down now but after some days later, it will recover it's price. Price is on correction and volatile. It is really a difficult situation for crypto market. Good news are coming and just wait for big hit of market cap.

If they do ban cryptocurrencies in Korea, they'll just open accounts in Japan and carry on. Japan explicitly legallised bitcoin last year...

We can expect more attack to crypto: it seems that governments start to understand that a revolution will start.
But they can't stop us.

We'll recover, this is nothing in my opinion compared to the China ban on ICOs and exchange shut downs, and we recovered from that pretty swiftly. I think it will take a little time but give it a few weeks and we'll be back towards ATH levels and talking about how high things can go instead of how low they can go.

Its not about if they can stop you or not its about them considering if it is suitable for their country or not. What are the hazardous effect it can cause to the country and if they find that it is more dangerous than being good then they will be banning it and they can easily stop it in their country.

But there are other sections of the forum says crypto currency was totally banned in South Korea and added to that China also banned all the exchanges in their countries which is causing the huge downfall in crypto currency prices. We can hope that this ban maybe temporary ans soon they will find the regulation of crypto currencies.
So it maybe an golden opportunity to buy some crypto currencies,I will buy more BTC because the price is really digging under $12K maybe there is further decrease in bitcoin price for some more days so we can buy more coins for cheaper prices now.
