My fear was receiving payments on my first smartphone crypto wallet. It was hard and stressful understanding how to receive the payment from activities I did on faucets.

Honestly i dont have any fears when i just started dealing with cryptocurrencies because before i invest or get into something i will first try to get all the information that i need so that when i start investing i dont have any fears and i dont have to ask other people about it. cryptocurrency is a good investment but it is more risky than other kind of investment but hey risk and losing are all part of any investment.

I'm a nervous type of person when it comes to new things most if they are unknown to me, first-time fears or just nervousness well I can't sort that out it will be mixed emotions, The first thing that strikes to my mind is the question, can I do it? I can't understand a single word or details about the cryptocurrencies, It's totally a new world for me as in the early days of my life I don't have a single interest about the economy and currencies but the more I emerge myself to crypto, I'm starting to like this kind of deal. Until now I'm still learning about cryptocurrencies and I'm happy with it.

I'm not a gambler, so of course I was afraid it was gonna drop to oblivion as soon as I invested. Instead it went up by so much while I was sitting on the sideline before I finally jumped in.

If you're afraid of investing it's better to try with a small sum that you won't regret if you loose it. Everyone make mistakes, even experienced traders, and you always have a risk in crypto, but it's definitely worth trying.

I do only fear one thing about cryptocurrency, losing everything I had by the means of unexpected error,  illegalization, or hacking on any cryptocurrency. I invested alot and now gains alot yet scared that my crypto balances would be gone like bubble.

I feared that I may not be able to get a hang of it. But everything can be learned in time. So I invested some time in researching. And I was able to atleast learn the basics which is enough to get started. And now I get to learn and absorb new stuff on a daily basis. I realized that it is not only the money that attracted me, but the learnings which are equally valuable.

I'm afraid that bitcoin will be ban because of governments or banks that are now taking part of manipulating cryptocurrencies. I know that it cannot be controlled by someone but it can be by banning exchanges for cryptos like the South Korea exchanges.

Probably we fear to lose a lot of money when loosing in each trades, thats why you need to learn something about how the market works, how the trader's think to counter them especially the whales, fear of not learning how to trade properly is the worst i had because i dont know where to start because nobody  guided me to the basics for cryptomarket trading system,i started from the scratch i read alot in investopedia watch more videos in youtube and eventually trade small amounts at first.

I fear of being scammed during a transactions or via phishing sites, since I dont' have much any idea about cryptocurrencies works most that time and I usually started by just hearing it as a good opportunity to invest I can't helped but to be extra careful and afraid from scammers since I heard of them a lot in the cryptocurrency world.

I was first afraid of (and probably still am now) that the whole cryptomarket would implode and take away all the profits i've already made. I could cash out comfortably now and be happy with my earnings but i keep it in crypto because I believe there is value here and it will probably rise in value the more adoption we get. Hopefully more people will realize the long term benefits of cryptocurrencies and see past present values as well.

just double check your wallet address before you want to transfer on to different wallet and make sure the amount you want to transfer. and if you has check then send it, as long as you copy paste your wallet address, it will receive into your other wallet. it is normal to have fear but calm down, as you follow the guide and you will be safe.

#1 was scams.  I researched the crap out of Coinbase, Wallets, Coins, and Exchanges in the beginning.  I was probably overly paranoid, but it was like the more you read about cryptos, the more you hear about people getting scammed ... and even now, I'm extremely cautious.  One wrong move can be costly.

#2 was it was is all crashing the day after I deposited.  That has been my luck with investments.  I started investing in stocks in 1999 ... right before the dot com crash.  I also bought my first house in 2004, right before the real estate bubble burst ... but so far, so good with Cryptos..    :-\

At first I fear the numbers I have to deal with while I was learning about cryptos. Now with all the news of hacking and theft I'm afraid of my hard earned cryptos just to be stolen away from me. I'm also afraid that all of this will suddenly just disappear and be gone. I think that is my greatest fear about crypto.

Losing is part of the game. You will not learn if you haven't try lossing. Failures motivates us to work hard. And it's good to know that you've learned from your mistakes. We all fear of losing our money,  but we can find it ways to at least lessen our losses.

I think I don't have any fears when the first time I started dealing with cryptocurrencies because I only think that maybe this is my way to earn money and if I can earn by free then I don't have to afraid for anything. besides that, as long as I don't use my own money, then I can avoid from being scam and I could still try to earn more money. but I think my fears is about if I buy a coins in a high price and I cannot sell it once the price is jump higher and I got trapped in that price.

Honestly,I feel like cryptosystem is all about scamming. I was really hesitant on joining one, basically because there is no assurance about this things and there were too many distracting opinion from people. The truth was, there were really numerous projecrt that just scams people, even got already engaged with it. But I have learn to determine which is the legit one, this time there is still fear on my side while investing but in my short period of time being engage with this, I more feel that There is a promising future for my funds.

I have invested a good amount of money and hopefull that it will grow in due time. Cryptosystem is not just really about  risking money, uts mote of like growing funds through trusting a good project.

I went to my bank to get loan to buy my first bitcoins in 2013. I'm from a working class group therefore I had fears of loosing my money by hacked exchanges. My second fear was to be week handed and sell my assets with loss. Unfortunately my fear came through losing a lot of money on my first journey with cryptocurrencies but never given up to get back on my feet and start over. I'm glad I was strong enough to do so.

When you first went head first into the unknown, what were your thoughts? What were you afraid the most?  ???

I didn't had any fear at all since when i started everything was very cheap, bitcoin was less than $250 if i am not wrong at all. Of course that i haven't bought at that price. But i joined during those times.. I really miss bitcoin at those rates.

The thing I fear most when dealing with cryptocurrencies is that of networking. I'm afraid that the transaction is taking place, the network I'm using has lost signal. That means my transaction is broken and I do not know who my money will fall into.
I'm afraid the hackers will take advantage of that opportunity to take over my fortune. These are the things I most worry about dealing with cryptocurrencies.

1)lack of support from government which treat crypto traders as illegal drug cartels and get me arrested
2) fear of wrongly entering a pump and dump coin and getting stuck in the bottom of the coin
3)not knowing the exact news of coins to do trading and many lots more

My first fear was for only to sell bitcoin , I getted into bitcoin about 2013 and at that time buy and sell of bitcoin was not easy task because not many services were available at that time to buy sell directly but we needed to wait for orders and give orders at sites like localbitcoins.com that was really not better way and also few people were saying that there is chances of scam , so for me a big fear was in my mind that what will happen if I make earnings in big amount but not will be able to sell easily .
But after one to two months I found a person who was from mine country and told me that you can buy and sell any amount of the bitcoin and payment will be instantly , and I found that he was really honest person and still today he is doing work very well of buy and sell .

Fear of being scammed. Fear that my hardwork will turn into nothing. I hate that feeling. Also the fear of no return investment.

I never really think about this. hmm. I think it was getting hacked and losing money. Digital money feels interesting but unsecure when you hear it and think about it. Also I am afraid of losing tokens because of ether's weird smart contracts.

The fear of being scammed and lose my money. All of these are new to me back then, I fear every transaction I make, and I always pray that my money will arrive to my wallet, I always check every digits of my address before making any transaction even though I just copy pasted it.

It took me forever to move from a website wallet service to my own wallet. I kept seeing in chat how people "lost" money, or sent to the wrong address, or their wallet crashed. Site accounts seemed simple and safe, just a username and password that you easily remembered. But then I later understood I could very easily restore my wallets from seed. And that was an even better option, you never worry if the site you use will close down and run with your money.

I've never made a mistake yet, but always remember to double check txs, always keep your seed safe. And you're good to go. I still have my heart beating fast when I make a big spend, always triple confirm.

When I started dealing with cryptocurrencies, my most fear is to lose my money. There's been a lot of phishing sites and scams everywhere in the internet. I always read the reviews of every website or services that I use and make sure that I enter the correct website.

Like many, I was afraid of losing money. Now I take it more calmly, because there are ups and downs. And if there is a loss of all resources will pass, I'll start again.

I fear of being hacked or unknowingly victimized by a phising sites that will attack me when my investments become more successful. I had a lot of fear the first time I tried cryptocurrencies since I am not techy and well known around the net and about trading. Its a good thing I spend a lot of time here in bitcointalk since I usually got heads up about threats and information that can help my trading ventures.

I believe I will be not original here. My fears were connected with the money lost. I worried if altcoins I bought that time would grow in future. Thanks God, my first experience was not bad at all, and the profit I got inspired me to go on with crypto.

For the first time when I found out about this, I was told that it is possible to earn good money on this, but I did not quite understand how. When I bought different altkoins I thought they would grow up now and I will get my profit, but it was not so simple))

Oh, well, most likely the most important fear is ignorance.
I was constantly afraid that I did not know something important, and I was doing something wrong.
I was afraid that because of ignorance I could make serious mistakes and lose all my investments.
But after a while, when I read many articles, literature, explored the forum, fear retreated.

As far as I read from comments most of us has similar fears. The main fear I have is that next morning I will wake up and see that market has crashed. Second biggest fear is that as you say hackers will hack my wallet and I will lose everything I have.

Interestingly I was not afraid of anything. This was because I had a good time spent learning the fundamentals that will drive value in crypto.  My first investment grew astronomically within 3weeks.

after a month I did realized I still had a lot more to learn but I was never scared.

Honestly speaking, I don't have any fears when I start trading coins in the cryptocurrencies because before I invest I tried to search all the information from youtube so that I don't have any fears .Cryptocurrency is a good investment but it is more risky than other kind of investments . So I think you have to take care and invest intelligently.

Fear is real when you are in a corrupt country with corrupt officials, what could happen to me if for instance they try to track money laundering and terrorist in my country. They could at point an innocent guy who own bitcoin as corrupt officials can link a bitcoin guy to terrorism funding. It doesn't matter whether its true or not the only matters to these official is that they get some results to report to the upper officials that they have suspects apprehended.

The fear is that the coin i choose would become one day worthless. And also the fear that i send the coin to a bad address or get hacked.
The fear to participate in a scam ICO project. And the fear to install some kind of virus.

The first to be able to join Crypto needed a Bitcoin number, and I was looking to buy it in a community over the FB. I started trading with the seller, and I was worried that I would be scamer (this could be the psychology of all new investors). After buying Bitcoin, I moved it to Poloniex, made the first exchange and always looked at the Altcoin trend that I purchased, it was a thrilling and beautiful feeling.
