The output of the first algorithm becomes the input of the second and so on through a total of 11 algorithms. It looks like the latest X* is X17 used by PPL. My question is, who decides what algorithm is added? Is it the developer(s) of PPL who say, "I want to extend the hashing algorithm for my coin" and then select which ever algorithm they happen to like, and then the community (anyone who implements an X17 coin afterwards) is stuck with that decision?
