Value and current usage wise due to ICO's - Ethereum.

I support decentralization and privacy so I'm not into buying Ripple.

My suggestion: Dash, Ripple, eBitcoin, IOTA.

Now the best coin for now is XRP(Ripple) currently bursting on Value this year and maybe the next to Ethereum in the Future. Its best to atleast hold some of it and claim it later when it gets pricier.

For me the best altcoin is still ETH.  Due to ETH is global coin i thinked and some of project/ICO usually paid the bounty hunter with ETH.
Last week i looked ETH still $1200 but now in last 24 hours at coinmarketcap ETH reach $1331.  I think it's very rapidly and very promising coin. And i believe eth will growing and gaining again.

I think that Ethereum have a big potential, the price is growing up and i think that will continue
I like it, and i like the idea of smart contracts, so is a good candidate for invest some money :)
Monero is a good alternative too, invest money in alt coins that have already a little story, is better to not invest in alt coins too new

If you are just in to profit and don't care even if the crypto you are holding are "owned" by banks - then go for ripple.

If you want privacy and decentralization - Monero, DeepOnion, Zcash would be good candidates.

Every coin convinicing that they are the best coin when it was launched but the price of coin will be based on the demand so already reputed coin maybe the best coin in terms of price.
For me ethereum is the best ever coin after bitcoin and it was already recognized by more people so it may have great potential.And it also the second highest coin in terms of coinmarket cap.The transactions are faster and fee is less.So,it maybe the best coin for me.
But everyone have their own suggestion of which is the best coin.So OP need to do his own research before investing on anycoins.

I think that one of the best coins at the moment is pulsation, neo, dexp and the leader - the etherium. Some of the best in my opinion.

Best altcoin must be Ethereum. Always proved to pick up nicely even after heavy dips, and its very popular in the market!

When it comes to this,m it pays that you do your own research, people here just want to hype coins they are holding, but if you want a good portfolio the top 10 altcoin in the market is always the best pick, but growth is kinda slow compare to other ico coin with good innovation and adoption.

Many people seem to think it's ETH right now, because of the hype and the tech behind it. But the truth is there is no best coin. Only time will tell, maybe the one that survives the longest?

do your own research... pick coins with solid future events like tron updating its holders and it has planned big events like billions of coin burn in march. invest in coin with solid team and road map it will surely give you generous returns.. don't listen to other peoples they will tell you the coins that they are currently holding not everyone is a good investor..

In general, there is no better currency, all have updates to be made at all times, but there are those that we identify by the act of investing, if you identify with the cause of the project,  the more speculated,  is that beneficial for population, i will not mention the best but the best with potential, in my opinion all coins that own their own Blockchain or Masternode are the best.

I would go with ETH. Like bitcoin, it deserves its fame and worth. Eventhough there are some technical differences between the two, it wont let you down in purpose and capability.
I think ETH is good for trading.

NEO is $30 about 1.5 months ago. and now it is $130.

the best altcoin now is ethereum or bitcoincash. why ? because the price still up an up again. very good for investment now.
if you buy and hold it, maybe you can get profit.

All depends on what type of coin you are looking for. Are you looking for long term holds or just something to make money on today. I like Mana, XRB, SpankChain, DRGN. Remember to do your research about the coin though.

If you are planning for a long term altcoin investment eth make eth as on your top list but if you don't have enough to buy make ripple as your second choice. You could make it as long term and short term depends on how you judge the situation.

Im super heavy on EOS..I believe it will be the ETH killer.

I think Paccoin turning into paccash in march may turn a quick buck but is short term and risky.

ION - i just like the collective nature of the devs/community amd its a fraction of a penny purchase even if it never goes anywhere.

Also favor ZCL, ZEC, amd ETN mostly because they are fairly profitable for mining and growing.

I guess to find the best is the problem of analyzing, no matter what coin it is. most importantly bringing profits in trade or investment. there are many potential altcoins. but always try to involve experience and knowledge.

It is very difficult to determine which altcoin is the best. There are over 1k+ alternative cryptocurrencies. If Bitcoin is recognized as the crypto version of gold, Ethereum is the crypto version of silver. One of the main reasons Ethereum is second place comes down to the simple fact that Bitcoin was first.

I think ethereum is one of the better projects available in the market.it is the master of all smart contracts and has one of the strongest teams available in the market. It has tremendous amount of potential to grow in the future. And you can easily expect it's price to cross the 5000$ meek within 2-3 years for sure.
Litecoin is another good projects available in the market and you can easily expect it's price to be above the 2000$ mark within 2-3 years for sure.

For the price advantage I think ETH is still the best altcoin at the moment. But ethereum still lacks in transaction problems. Maybe a few days ago a lot of delays when doing ethereum delivery because the network is quite solid. But for the positive thing ethereum has many positive things. So I keep choosing ethereum as the best altcoin moment

there are many, eth, waves, ripple, gvt. there are still many more that could potentially in the future. I think you should try to analyze it. this is the best time to buy atlcoin.

just look coinmarketcap and choose from the top 100 coin there. if you want to hold something like longterm i will assure you that you can gain more profits from those coins. thats only my suggestion. much better to make you own research.

Ethereum is leading among all the altcoins and it has it,s own market or excchahges where you can trade with.

I think that for now Ethereum is the best altcoin. But the situation could be changed. I had thought for some time ago that Ripple is the best altcoin. But I see now that it is not in its best shape.

the best coin I ever had was the exchange union because the exchange union had a nice exchanger concept and would most likely be an exchanger like a kucoin in my opinion so the prospect for coin is huge

Most altcoins are just copycat projects. You should look for projects who either have a future-proof concept or a great community. Preferably, they have both. The best combinations of these two aspects is currently DeepOnion. Another project you might want to take a closer look at is Bismuth.

I think the best coin s bitcoin and the best altcoin is ethereum. In my opinion, after of these, Litecoin, IOTA, Stellar and Monero might bring good profits in the future.

Bitcoin is the best crypto till date. But there are many altcoins which are emerging as a good option/ opportunity of investment. Among them very few are showing good and consistent performance. Ethereum is the second best option; if bitcoin is gold then Ethereum is immediate silver. Ethereum has touched $1340 mark yesterday. Increased volatility, transaction charges are shifting investments towards ethereum. Ethereum is relatively cheap and stable in nature. According to me its is the best altcoin currently available.

I personally  dont like ripple because its centralized. Its easy for governments and corporations to control...thats why they like it so much. Its the old school way of thought. They see it as the status quo in new technology, but for me the real disrupters are decentralized networks. Sure there are growing pains, fights among devs, 51% attacks, and other issues, but decentralization is the future in my book.

There are a lot of options, but I think Ethereum is maybe one of the best coins right now, just because its tech is the best nowadays and I’m sure, its price will reach the sky this year.

I think he is referring the best coin in terms of technology and affordable. So the best option would be ETH and Ripple, (but I won't rely to much in Ripple as we know it is being owned and governed by banks.

Yeah, the team behind a crypto should always be active to make the project successful. I have been hearing about this DeepOnion and it seem they are doing very well.

Personally for me it is antshares (currently it is NEO). This coin gave me 12000% for 6 months. I think it is one of the best and perspective coins at the market

The best thing is do your own research for this and it is depend from person to person. According to my decision Eth is still the best altcoin for me and there is a huge price increment for this. In addition to the Ripple (XRP) is also one of the good altcoin all among the Crypto currencies. Currently it has come next to the Ripple and became very popular these days within a short period of time.

according to me ETH is the best coin and has been in the 2nd position for a long time.
it recently rose from 770$ to 1400$ in 2 weeks which had greatly benifited many and also due to the increase in bitcoin fees and confirmaton time,a lot more people have started using ethereum for less amount as the transaction fees is almost less than a dollar and the confirmation time is way fast than btc.
if you are thinking to invest in any coin apart from btc, my advice to you would be to invest in ethereum.

Why are you looking for just only one altcoin? there are thousands of them at the moment, and each one of them has a different function on the entire cryptoworld. i suggest you to make your own research about that.

I suggest you to take a look over Elixir, and Dragonchain, they are fixing and solving a lot of troubles on the entire world, just take a look over them, seriously, i invested a lot of money on them.

And they can easily give you a x10 in just a few months from now.

On my opinion, Ethereum is the ideal of a perfect coin that deserve to replace bitcoin, if ever. For me it's Bitcoin Cash! Bitcoin Cash has a faster difficulty adjust algorithm, it scales better, it does not have Segwit — though that may or may not be a pro. Overall it seems to be the most vocal contender for the BTC throne.

Of course etherium is number one. there are many interesting coins .Everyone has their own list.I like EDO,STRAT,NEO,XEM.And every day new ones appear.

Almost every coin in the top 10 made a profit.

Of course, Ethereum is the most important altcoin. But apart from him there are some interesting coins, for example Ripple, Litecoin, NEO.

i am confused also specify altcon for now. because every altcoin now has the same great potential in the future. I myself am still collecting SXDT. because this coin seems to have a pretty good rate.

I can advise you to look at such token as Sirin Labs as on me the project just remarkable and team works perfectly as soon as everything is started the price will depart quickly. :)

For me its ethereum because the demand of people is into ETH, so that its value is increasing. altcoin is the best altcoin that has a very good team in the back and the availability of con is very limited and has a very good development plan, otherwise it will be difficult to determine the altcoin is good or not, i will give coin what is good but this does not guarantee that the coin is good because I am only speculation of the above 3 factors (coin availability, team, and development plan) is the RAiBlocks coin (XRP).
