Telegram plans to run an ICO. Here is the White Paper: https://fs12.fex.net/get/995107294181/210694386/81ca4cd1/ton-tech.pdf. What do you think about it? In my opinion, this is going to be one of the most promising ICOs in 2018.

TON it will be great hype and I think that ICO will be finished in few minutes. This project could attract huge number of new crypto adepts and I think that we will see great pump on the whole crypto market after TON implementation. This year will be year of big surprises in cryptoindustry.

That would be great, i dont know about the project, i will start to read the white paper to understand about the project and also telegram has a lot of potential developed infrastructure for the future needed i guess. and also 2018 alt coin time to shine.

The project looks promising great things. I think this is a very good project and is in line with the current trend. It will not be long before this project will be a fever for all members of this forum. Hope this will be the project that investors expect most people are responding in the best way. I will start learning about this project and it will be very helpful for my future work.

Telegram ICO will be a huge. But there is a rumor, that minimum investment is $25mln. on presale. So, probably, it will be hard to collect such a big money.

This new is quite old after all.. it has been announced more than two weeks ago, and in fact, a lot of people are now interested in this ICO and they are planning to invest in a few weeks or months from now. Me too, i am just waiting until it gets released so i can put a few money in there, i am not desperated, but i know that it will be a huge one.

I don’t participate in many ICOs but I’ll be getting in on this, if it is true it will b massive as hey already have a working app and huge client base!

if telegram want to run an ICO i think that will be very great because many investors who have been waiting for this type of opportunity will definitely invest on it, beside it is an already  known organisation and they never have the opportunity of doing ICO when it was developed.

Definitely exciting for this ICO that will be run by a reputable social messaging platform. But I don't think it is easy to join or participate in this ICO, as many of the whales will eat us, small fish up before we can even put our contribution to the ICO.

This is probably the biggest ICO in history with a value of $ 500M. They have a very large community, plus high security encryption is applied to the Telegram.

I think this will be very dangerous. They plan to collect 500millions of dollars for the ico. So the total supply will be very high. So if the total supply and the market cap is on beginning so high, how to hell should this coin gain value? Nobody want to buy these coin, because everybody will havemore than enough from the beinning.

Telegram has been commonly use when promoting an ICO or any gambling sites as well as other crypto currency products and services so I won't be surprise if the company will start adopting cryptos and issuing their own token besides we are now heading to a digital economy so it is a better idea if everything will start adopting cryptos. Something which is started by an reputed entity is worth to have it because all other would be participating in this ICO. So generally the chances to get the coins will be reduced and the once it gets listed which all major exchanges would like to have such coins will be having a huge volume daily and the price would be tend to rise due to high demand in market.

This idea might be interesting. Now many developers want to advertise their brand using term "blockchain". However it is not clear what purpose the developers of Telegram (as I know it will be the chain without mining and dubious decentralization).

This will be a third generation blockchein after bitcoin and Ethereum. Simple people will not be able to participate in the ICO, because the minimum amount for investments is $ 20,000,000 and only in fiat!

I dont know about you guys but i'm staying away from this.. if i am not mistaken they want to raise 500mil $ that is a shit load of money to raise for an ico. A shit load!! The hype and community can be big but still i got my questions about a 500mil raise. Rather look at ico's that try to raise much less then that. For example Daneel ico. Great ico, great product for beginners and veterans in crypto. Think they will go big!

There is still no official confirmation from Durov's team. But there are already a lot of applications for the project in this project. I think that if this is true, the whole amount will be collected on a private sale. Marketing is very well built. Everyone talks about this, except for developers. I admire the marketing strategy of this project. I think that this will be the most grandiose ICO in history.

I read the news and I just have it at the back of my mind that I would need serious convincing on what they needed it for before I can trust them with a penny because from my point, I can't phantom why a messaging service would want to raise money, is it that they want to build a data center or they want to compete with NSA or anything of such. They want fund, they should go to the capital market where they will be monitored very well.

While these are simple rumors and nothing more,unfortunately.I want to believe that the ICO for Telegram would be a logical step. We need to wait and carefully monitor the information.

It already has the distribution network through its telegram app- all it needs is to include hotwallet functionality for one or more of the more established currencies (e.g. btc, eth, ltc, or whatever it may pick), and it already stands plenty to gain with little further effort. Telegram doesn't need to launch its own coin which, if it fails or gets hacked, will affect the Telegram name directly.

WeChat in the PRC is a PERFECT case example how you can use a chatapp to be the perfect distribution medium for digital payment. Stick with what you know and do well, and then grow from there.

Well, every companies could run their own ICO and coins to compete the Cryptocurrency game in the market but it's up to them how they would put some uniqueness for their coin to be able to attract more investors and users into their platform.

Messenger Telegram plans to launch the Telegram Open Network blockchain platform and its own crypto currency, collecting $3-5 billion. I believe the launch of a crypto currency can ensure Telegram independence from any government or bank. I do not like the fact that you can only convert fiat money into it. There will be a lot of noise. I personally will not participate. If the telegram collects 1-3 billion dollars, then on such a project it will be hard to do x2-x3, while in other projects it is an adequate profit.

When cryptocurrency attract big company interest such as telegram, well it's reasonable because they want more wealth than ever.
Let's pretend that they have made a token, for me personally, I will try to observe their detail and mostly will invest and support them because if they decide to build an ICO , it means that they are really serious !

I hope it's will be true. Because i never heard that ico from official telegram account and website. I went to official telegram site, and they clearly said that telegram is non profit organization.

Telegram is a freeware, but I think that Telegram Messenger LLP is not registred as a non-profit organisation. I don't know if they plan to keep some profit for themselves or this is just a project for strengthening the community. However I don't see anything bad in developers getting their share. As I already noted, they showed a lot of legitimacy and it is hard to believe they are about to scam anybody and earn a bad reputation while they can make money based on it in a legit way.

I have been following the news about Telegram project with great interest. Durov has planned something very great — the ICO will bring with a tremendous profit — everybody wants to invest into it. I will also try to participate in it.

The main feature of TON is fast transactions. The bandwidth of bitcoin is only seven operations per second, Ethereum is 15.
For comparison Visa and Mastercard process thousands or even tens of thousands of operations per second. The estimated bandwidth of TON is much higher millions of transactions per second.

Indeed, telegram is a very successful software, and the UI of its software works very well.

But I would like to know why the chat software telegram needs ICO? Just to raise more money? And this project has raised so much money that it has exceeded my imagination.

If so, it'll be the coolest ICO in 2018. But while it's more like rumors, although there are more and more information about this ICO on bitcointalk and on Internet from the creator Pavel Durov.

It is a smart move and good investment in advance for telegram though. A specific coin for a specific platform, really makes people know that altcoins are not just for trading or exchanges. The question here is why are they making it and how are they going to make use of it with their existing app.

We all know that telegram is the top one source of communication between participants, investors, administrators and developers. This can make a history in the cryptocurrency, Telegram is very popular to us and once the project began, many participants will join and be part of the community. They should implement a standard and high quality project because in the name itself, people assumed this will be a profitable project. Telegram is part of some ICO for communicating, advertising, giving news and updates for all crypto participants. Therefore, it can make million dollar funds and many investors for this ICO, it will also have a huge bounty payments for bounty hunters, investors will gain more profit investing to this project.

Integrating a blockchain wallet to telegram will be huge as almost everyone in crypto is already using it.
It has to be a public blockchain for transparency and integrated with the telegram app.

I have seen this information and I feel excited about it. I have been using Telegram for over a year, and in the near future it will be an ICO, I think this is great if it's done. At present, Telegram's platform is very good, they have a lot of users around the world and many of them are active in the crypto world. That is a very good condition for them to run an ICO. It will probably become one of the most successful projects in early 2018, I think so.

I think this will going to be the best ico in 2018 we should definitely buy their pre-sale and we'll have guaranteed returns.But I also have this feeling that they'll sell everything in minutes since the whole crypto community is on telegram, so we had to stay tuned or have a good news source because time is money.

This one is going to be big along with anything IoT. Saw that IoT Chain (ITC) is making waves as well being known as the IOTA of china.

P. Durov want create massive platform. He want realize in the TON all what need regular user: chat, payments, file storage, mini applications....

It will be a blast those popular ico really did well, it might be expensive to buy it since many will get interested to it, though it was still good to buy those potential ico if we prefer long term investment.

that is great news for us. you know telegram is one of the most famous project promotion for ICO, so if telegram wants to run ICO maybe this will be one of the most promising ICO.

I think it is a good idea if telegram plans to run an ICO because I see many groups is growing in telegram channel and they could get much of member to join telegram besides of Whatsapp. I wonder how it will look like the ICO from telegram and I think they will get many investors for this and I hope the ICO will be a success like another ICO.

I did some research on the internet, most likely the news is true but there is already so much fever around this project (whales, VC, big capitalists) that we'll see if it is convenient to participate

Since telegram already have a market and already an app of social media i think the ico will hit and i think the bounty that will held would be have a big mass of participant if it open for every single rank. But for coin or stake distribution i think it will give a little since it is not a kickstater ico.so it didn't need to much promote to make people buy the token.

Already on ICO capitalization was $ 500k, this is 35-th in the coinmarket, if only x10 does, then the monero catches up, which does not seem likely.

Yes telegram are planning to have an ICO. This will be the most successful ICO that i've ever seen because as you can see telegram application are so needed in the crypto world when joining an airdrop or bounties you need to join telegram so that you are updated on the happenings on the project you are participating.

Y'all can forget about getting into the Telegram ICO. They will probably do a private investor round initially where they can generate millions from a few people or organizations. Then they will do a public offering with a minimum of 1 BTC to buy in. The price the you will probably pay per coin will be most certainly higher then what the initial investors paid.

Were you guys excited about this before you realized how massively large their fundraising target is? A Billion initial marketcap? For a messenger service.

Seems like it will just remain a rumour,this was started from these speculations when facebook ban were implemented,morelikely a counter to the facebook's restriction buy i can assure you if telegram is really doing an ICO all the people would be notified because telegram could have announced it already,but no announcement was made so it will just another FUD.
