Title: USA Group Buy - Antminer S9 Post by: mineintx on January 16, 2018, 04:19:33 AM I just spend a frustrating time trying to buy Antminer S9's on bitmain website during batch release. Got several into the cart and during checkout process they sold out.. HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY. I have been reading that BitMain will sell 200 units at a time. Is there any interest for a United States based buying group? A mechanism where you feel secure that you will get product, money put into escrow or a trust, where it is only spent on buying the product, product is shipped in bulk to location here in USA (I am in Dallas, Texas), and then from there it is shipped out.. I see a guy in Canada is setting up a group, they plan to charge 20 %. I do not think the fee needs to be anywhere near 20 %. Any interest? If so I will really look into this. I did buy a couple of units on Amazon, it was costly, I bought when BTC was higher than it is now, I do want to buy more but not at $ 5500 each (ebay prices now) Title: Re: USA Group Buy - Antminer S9 Post by: jwpoke on January 16, 2018, 11:22:59 AM Newbie starting a group buy. It is pretty clear why there has not been a group buy in some time, who wants to give their money to a black hole, and hope that a S9 comes in 1 - 3 months? I also have operating businesses (retail stores). I have a professional license issued through the State of Texas. I am not looking to take anyones money. I am based in Dallas, Texas, and what I want to know is there enough interest for people to place money into a trust / escrow account, which not a single money is released until the full purchase price of 200 units is reached, and at that time, payment can only be made to Bitmain. I would do it on a first come first serve basis. No minimum. Would there be interest in such an buying pool. It would have to be USA and Canada only. If there is interest, I can share more information. I just spent 2 hours at 9 pm and 3 am clicking the refresh button on shop.bitmain.com and wasted a lot of time. There has to be a better way!
