I think telegram ICO might be a real thing. I'm gonna invest, for sure.

Even though telegram the Ahard hat is so high, but I think telegram's is very populac,that is still a benfit projuct as i see.

We will see if telegram is really into this ICO thing,i wonder how they will get some extra cash with their users? maybe a built advertisement in their app,or else telegram would require payments in the future.

I think this will be too big to really get much returns on it.

Well the Telegram is already is no.1 messenger for everybody in crypto world. We're getting the hottest news from Telegram groups and lot of bounties are tied to Telegram. That ICO is a logical continue for the situation we already have.

Pavel Durov has already made a lot of money on his Vkontakte project. I do not see any obstacles for him not to be able to repeat his success in this project.

Guys, please, don't fall for it! There still hasn't been an official announcement from Durov, and scammers start gathering money for this "ICO". Please be cautious :o

If this really happen this will be gonna be big and will shock the cryptocurrency industry, and hopefully they will open bounty campaign also. Im gonna wait for the futute announcent if this piece of news is legit.

I'd love to ICO ever took place. I think that all bountyhunter waiting for this moment and I hope to participate.

So many of these stories about telegram ICO have come out and as of yet not one has been shown to have any truth behind it. If they do have an ICO it will be a great success, I don't see why they'd ever need to raise 1.2 bn though. Let's not forget they already have a hugely successful platform and any crowdfund would be to build on that.

Some chat and social platforms like kin has already done their ICOs though not quite successful. I see TON succeed because of the vast user base and the fact that most of these users are knowledgeable about crypto.

If this is true, it will potentially be giant of blockchain instant messengers. But I have not seen the news on my major reference websites so I don't know how true this is.
If it is true, I don't see myself investing in the project because to make a 10x or 100x return on my investment will need the project to attain astronomical market cap which doesn't really seem achievable to me.

This has got to be the stupidest thing to hit crypto since Ripple. Gonna get my fireworks ready and watch them crash and burn gonna be a good ol time at my place :D.

Judging by their technical whitepaper this will be an incredible project. I think despite the huge hard cap they have a great potential for growth. Millions of telegraph users will use the TON, and that is a crucial factor for a blockchain project.

I think this telegram ICO is looking like a scam because since the announcement of the ICO, there is no link between telegram and the telegram ICO.

As far as am concerned I do not see how visible this project could be, we should all just  be careful of unrealistic ICOs everywhere.

1.2 Billion for a Chat app? Everyone here has gone complete braindead, if you want to throw your money away, then just send it back to the genesis eth address it will be put to better use

In my opinion $ 1.2 billion is way too much for an ICO. Why do they need so much money? They could even do well with $ 100 million.

Typically, chat apps don't need blockchain at all.
If they do incorporate it, the utility of the token is questionable at best.

On top of that, the ridiculous hardcap?
I feel like this can backfire in big ways, for the company and for investors.

Harcaps should be low for a lot of reasons.
#1 is it shouldn't take more than 15million to develop or expand your company.
Of course, costs vary, but in traditional startups, even 5 million would be considered a great sum.

#2 It ensures that there is demand for the coin or token after the ico.
That will keep people interested in the company while development takes place and ultimately, make it more smooth to integrate it

#3 It promotes trust and responsibility between investors and the company.

If this is true, i will definitely invest on this ICO, we cannot deny that Telegram is one of the successful Messenger App in the world and it is widely used by crypto enthusiast. This  will be a sure investment knowing that they already have an existing product.
