I prefer keeping a form of your private key in softcopy, hardcopy, and even message it to yourself just to be safe in case anything bad happens.- DO backup your wallet - DO password protect your wallet - DO use 2-factor authentication - DON'T let others store your bitcoins - DON'T invest more than you're willing to lose - DON'T store much bitcoins on your PC/mobile - DON'T fall for online scams - DON'T reuse your wallet addresses - DON'T buy bitcoins online - DON'T tell anyone an amount of bitcoins you own Title: Re: DO and DON'T in your bitcoin Post by: lizardbtc on January 27, 2018, 08:17:07 PM - DO take time to research wallet options - DO backup your wallet - DO password protect your wallet - DO use 2-factor authentication - DON'T let others store your bitcoins - DON'T invest more than you're willing to lose - DON'T store much bitcoins on your PC/mobile - DON'T fall for online scams - DON'T reuse your wallet addresses - DON'T buy bitcoins online - DON'T tell anyone an amount of bitcoins you own I would not agree with all of your statments: DON'T buy bitcoins online : where else would you buy if not online? I see it even safer than to meet up with strangers across town to exchange fiat and bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. Most of us use online exchanges for this. DON'T reuse your wallet addresses: Well some people find it convinient, like me to use same address multiple times. It could be privacy concearn but nothing else if you know and understand how to keep your private keys secure. It takes time to earn in different aspects and don't aim that "quickest" way or you'll regret it. People today are so hyper with this type of mindset that's why many are falling for scams.
