Title: OCZ Fatalt1ty 1000W 80 Plus Gold - run ? 1x 7970, 2 x 2950 and 1 x 7870 ?

Will the power supply live up to task ?

My estimates

7970 260w
7950 220w
7950 220w
7870 180w

TOTAL 880 w

will be doing nothing with cpu, only other power use is fans.

I suspect it will live up to the task, any ideas ?

Should work OK, but it'll be close.  I ran a 6970, 2x7950 and a 7850 off a 1000W Zalman and it was pulling just shy of 1100W off the mains, so taking it as about 85% efficient, I think that was about it.  I was running it with a Celeron G540, so very little CPU power use.  I wouldn't try it with a 125W AMD or a 77W i5.

i might drop it to a 7950, 200khs or less difference and more stable on the power supp id say. might be cutting it too close.
