Asia still dominates in crypto-trading by volume, accounting for the vast majority of money flowing in and out. Guess what is coming up in 3 weeks?

Lunar New Year. Lots of money is flowing back to fiat to buy presents and plane/train tickets.

People spend a TON of money on travel and presents during Lunar New Year. This is their Christmas. This is also the largest mass migration of people on the planet, occurring over two weeks. Remember that the crypto market is antithetical to the stock market. Stocks boom when business is booming during the holidays. Crypto investors are retail investors, not Wall Street investors. Retail investors sell during holidays, thus the crypto market falls.

This selloff has happened exactly 3 weeks before Lunar New Year each of the last 4 years.

Very useful information, from the analysis of the previous years, the cryptocurrency marketcap chart always shows the same thing before the Chinese New Year, some of the factors you have described above are very clear, but there are additional factors why the value of cryptocurrency has decreased, such as the Chinese government policy and Korea and some countries are increasingly banning trading and mining Cryptocurency, I hope that issue does not affect too much on the value of coins this year, hopefully we can get more profit from cryptocureency trading soon

Isnt lunar new year at february 16?But yeah i agree that we will see the continue of pullback durring this period and posible recovery in march,so we have like less then 2 months period to stock up on coins before the next bull run of the year

Nice information and Speculation. We are at the bottom now . What we need to do is buy more good crypto if you can and sell it by march or april. then look for another run. Thanks

It is pretty hard to look past information like this. While correlation does not always equal causation, this looks pretty solid.
