So the price is hopefully at it's floor. Is anyone relying on this being the case and buying now? I'm holding the bitcoin I already have hoping for a rise - otherwise I lose money. Whilst I'm waiting, I'm thinking of sinking another load of money into it to catch the (hopeful) rise. Or is the risk of further decrease too great?

I would do like you proposed firstly. I would HODL what you already bought and I would buy more now when the price dropped. But please have in mind to invest or risk money which you can completely loose. Dont go over this!

If you have put in the whole amount you were prepared to I would say hodl but if you put in half the amount you wanted to then I would put a little bit more in now to get that cost down. Bitcoin won't be here that long and averaging down will help you make more money if you feel it will rise again which is something I believe will happen.

Days like this just have to hold.   I actually just rebalanced my portfolio and with the large dip was a little to heavy with bitcoin.  I have just set up some buys for my favorite current alts.   Good luck and happy trading we will bounce back quick

this may not be the floor price for bitcoin and other alts , but for sure it's a great opportunity to buy if you are thinking about doing so
at this point the price can't go much lower , so if you buy now max you can lose is like 10-15% and it's hard to achieve since we reached a great support level
but when the price start to move up again you will easily achieve like 40-50% profit

Now buy for a long time, and traders buy parts, still all expect the price of 8k.

The market right now is going down, but is still unpredictable. It's the great time to buy more, accept it if the market value continue to drop, well it's just correcting. After some time, another all time high will be recorded. So HODLing is also a must.

I am going to buy some btc now because its sure that btc will up again within a month. But very difficult to find fair btc seller in now because many of them still hold their btc

I think the wise are buying now because right now price of bitcoin is at its lowest peak and it will rise very soon so its the best time to invest and whoever investing in it will be very happy in his future.

The best time is to buy when the market is down.

And the people who buy now are probably smart always try to buy low and sell high.

Altcoins are also a good bet i think Ethereum would be one of the safest investments in crypto at the moment.

Watching the exchanges there are some massive trades going on.

Looks like the people in the know are expecting further falls and are cashing out.

Of course you also need people to buy so that's why you're seeing big falls today as sellers wipe out all available buy orders.

it's now the time to but bitcoins because the values dropt and that is best time to buy. So I buyed more and it's better if we all buy know, so that bitcoin can grow what'll happend within an month.

If I had some additional money around, I would definitely buy more right now. Although I can understand people's uncertainty as well, since a lot of people are anxious right now and fear that the price may fall even further. It all depends on how much risk you are willing to take.

You hold your bitcoin at this time. You may good price in 2018. Many people buy in this time, i think they are intelligent and brilliant.  :)   

It's difficult to buy if you don't have a credit card with "3D Secure" as US credit card companies don't use it. An international bank transfer takes too long. Localbitcoins is more expensive, so it seems like the options are pretty limited at the moment.

Everyone who uses bitcoin as a payment method like always will continue to buy it. But tendencially smaller amounts like investors will do. Unfortunately, no one knows if it will decrease further, but so far the price always has recovered after a downswing. There are surely some things influencing the price we are unaware of.

it's simple, bitcoin is falling down quickly, because some major players began to withdraw their funds, due to its very powerful and suspicious growth or something else..... to prevent rapid loss of money, the biton decided to crash heavily, so that those who bought it at the height of growth, would not withdraw their funds, because they will loose a large amount of money. The drop of bitcoin, analysts associate with bad news from China and Korea ... and this is just an excellent occasion, to make it go low, but its not the real reason!!!

As usual, the question is wrong. Do not care about whom but about why would they do so.

but I suggest you do not spend your money to buy.
because I think the bitcoin will still fall again deeper and to avoid the worst possible. you have to keep your balance.
and maybe if you can play it in trading and btc to altcoin

already bought some even not much (my money is not that much to buy bitcoin) but it already stable for now and the price up and down not really extreme like last dump. i think it is good time to hold

Mostly the big whales and old investors who know that it's the right time to buy as much cheaper bitcoins as possible buy silently and its their regular strategy to buy in the dips instead of quarreling and getting panic.

certainly with today's bitcoin decline, many people who buy bitcoin, may also be among bitcoin lovers who sell their homes to buy bitcoin. and get 1 BTC.

Well, I think many people are buying bitcoin because the price is now cheaper compare to the previous months. Lots of people will buy bitcoin now and hodl it for the future.

Currently I think the BTC price is playing around $11k-$12k. You can buy when it gets lower if you want. Then hold it for the next months or years to come. I believe 2018 would be a great year for BTC with lightning network being implemented bit by bit.

people buy bitcoin now so they can buy other alts...I'd not invest in btc but i have to buy it to buy alts.

 I think more people buying on this moment , cause as we see the price drop again to 11k maybe they're holding now and waiting for the rise. So i suggest dont expect to much drop now cause i think the price will never drop below 11k  so buy now while the the growth rate is not stable.  

While bitcoin's price lies in the floor, its a good opportunity to buy bitcoin and hold it.  I suggest you to buy bitcoin as much as you can because when bitcoin hits the ceiling, it will surely be a profit for every bitcoin holder. Like me, Im holding my bitcoin and expecting for a high price later. But please consider some risk too.

Yes, that's probably a nice idea and decision making, perhaps to our topic actually we are all buyers in bitcoins because we are hoping to make gain when the price return to pump. So this is the time we can buy a cheap price because the bitcoin and altcoin are dropping so lots coin we can buy today.

Anyone can buy bitcoin origin already have bitcoin account. for that everyone is looking at the price of bitcoin that is going down. Maybe this time is perfect for bitcoin investment.

I also made another bitcoin purchase for the current price, and this I think is a good chance for me to invest to get more profit, I think too many people are acting like we do.

If you notice that the price of bitcoin falls back to 11k I am sure that many people will buy and invest in bitcoin because it's an opportunity to buy at a low price. don't lose hope, because you're not the one hoping to increase the bitcoin currency again. This is a good time to buy bitcoin, and although the market is unpredictable, I think bitcoin will be recognized by the mainstream in 2018, and its value is immeasurable.

If you already have bitcoin and you are not going to buy it, keep it! Nevertheless, If you want to buy I recommend that you evaluate other alternative low-cost currencies but with a great potential, as despite of the good expectations of increase expected from btc for this year, it would be more rational to diversify your portfolio with low-cost currencies, thus realizing  an investment that does not require of much capital to get started.
