And now we are going to see another BTC all-time high in the coming months!

China is really a good market manipulator. Just imagine how many good businessmen are out there in China. China does it every now and then, they will spread news that they will ban and then prices would go down. They will cancel their news and buy bitcoin at cheap price. Just play a long with their game, and you will surely gain too.

Since I know bitcoin, I have heard many bad news from China and as far as I know many people in China are using Bitcoin. China just manipulate the price by some news and soon every thing back to normal again. I think the current situation is the same.

China has forbidden everything that it can not control. But I heard that they are also developing themselves and intend to launch a new currency based on the Blockchain platform to compete with USDT. Maybe YUANT

How can we know when it happens ? So we can exchange all our coins to fiat or USDT ? And then buy in again at dip.

Great piece of information.Actually,china has much earlier lost its importance in bitcoin world when it banned ICOs and exchanges completely.Earlier,china had an upper hand in bitcoin market.I could still remember those days before two years when every one would be keenly watching the changes occurring in china's bitcoin markets to plan whether to buy or sell bitcoins.Chinese gamblers easily manipulated bitcoin price as they wished on those days.But thank god,those days are no more.

All I see this big drop as is a good time to buy  :)  I'm fully expecting to to rise back up in the next few days, but we'll see.

I think that is the economical strategy of China in order for them to have profits since it is communist government. The people will follow rules and regulations based on what government will impose.

Only the old-timers are aware of the China FUD. Lots of the new bitcoiners only got into it in the summer, so all these bans seem scary to them.

I am not agree with you. Because cryptocurrency is affected in market. It will recover in two more month is the exact probability. But how you said it will recover in next few days. I think Bitcoin value is almost dropped in the market. So it is fluctuate in continuously in the market. Majority of the investors are panic this issues.

I think we could look at the past and see what would have been necessary at that time to be aware of the dip in advance or during.The same tactic should work for next time.

This is very much expected as China doesn't want to leave their domination in crypto currencies, they are always trying to manipulate market with those kind of news. We really got used to it.

True that, but we never know when they start this game and how deep it will take us. I learned one thing - always keep some cash, to buy on down low, now all my money are already in coins, so I'm just watching this master-manipulations from China.

I wish we could predict such news... oh well I'll just wait for the prices to go back up.

China really forbids bitcoin, for some reason, maybe one of the reasons is that China is afraid the virtual money in its country is being replaced by bitcoin and China may want to make its coin more popular than bitcoin, perhaps because China forbids its citizens to use bitcoin as a means of payment.

Excellent post, people tend to forget all the times Bitcoin has been supposedly banned in the past.

It may very well be that these reports are simply used to crash the market, so that the high rolling investors can buy in low, release a statement saying that Bitcoin won't actually be banned, and then ride the wave as bitcoin again reaches a new high. Hopefully this turns out to be the same pattern, those who sell now are going to be mad when they actualize their losses, rather than waiting for their gains like a true HODLER.

Ignore all Chinese news. They are all fake and market manipulation.

Do not buy Chinese scam coins and tokens: All bitcoin forks with word "bitcoin", tron, neo, and other pure shit.

Do not register and trade on Chinese exchanges, cause they are all manipulated.

Sorry for racism, but they are deserving it.

It's a shame that their decision manipulate the BTC market. That's because they hold strong BTC mining power. However, I think all the panic about these news will be put to rest. The Chinese New Year will also come and go and all these challenges will be over.

i have been around for a while and see every now and then a news like this come out talking about how they are going to ban bitcoin and how the world will end, and the timing has always been perfect. so what i do is that i buy the freaking dip and now i have a lot more bitcoin than i should have had without the FUD :)

China is definitely one of the largest player out there. What they are doing just gives me more confidence in bitcoin. The way they play with the market just tells me they have stake in this and they wont just let bitcoin die. Or at least until they don't have their own competing crypto currency. If China truly wanted bitcoin banned, they could've done it years ago. China has the most advanced computer security out there. They see everything going on in their country!

China can do this because many people think that without Chinese users, bitcoin would collapse. I think it would be hard but not impossible to manage to keep on developping the community, even without China.

Every country can decide if they ban the bitcoin.  But it depends also the xountry.  If bitcoin is big help to your country so why you ban it?  For me everyone must be responsible your bitcoin and also think your country. 

Well, it is not easy for China to be able to simply ban the circulation of bitcoin in the country. Moreover, China is one of the countries with the largest number of bitcoin investors in the world. Of course, they need special consideration, how the impact on the decision they will take for this cryptocurrency. If they forbid, investors will move their assets out of China, and that would be a big loss for the government because assets worth billions of dollars would move and this could affect the economy in China.

China is trying to hold that money also in to their own country. They got inspired by bitcoins amazing growth. So they would like to introduce their own crypto coin , so to improve it's demand they played a threaten drama . Don't bother  it this fall gonna make up by bitcoin with in few days.

I think the list of op shows good how resilient bitcoin has become.
Every year multiple new life threatening scenarios are dragged through the media.
Some of them even creat major dips of bitcoin price, but after a while the price recovers and bitcoin takes another attempt to a new all time high.
This time it won't be any different.

There is an upcoming update on Bitcoin Network, the implementation of its LN this first quarter ( if i am not mistaken) will certainly boost bitcoin price.  And this made me think that this dip is just a manipulative act to accumulate bitcoin in lower price.  I believe even if China bans Bitcoin every year, it will not over ride the hype brought by the good news of LN implementation.  Bitcoin will definitely recover and will break its ATH again and again.

Yep, China has been a while trying to crash BTC in the market, stoping transactions… and now, besides all the information you show us, they are trying to stoping mining!!!! China has the 2/3 of the BTC mining in the world, as “el diario” published last January, 11th, due the low price of electricity. Now they intend to control electricity consume in order to identify miners and stop their activity!!

I don’t know why are they so concentrated in banning BTC, but surely it has its own motifs, because, as you show us, they just will not stop because they are the biggest holders.

Haha curious I never knew this. So we should really contact China and ask them to settle all this at once and decide what they want with bitcoin and cryptos. I think China being such a huge market has a great impact on the price of bitcoin. When on peak chinese exchange's had a much higher price of bitcoin than the rest of the world but I still think that China won't be able to come up with a complete ban rather it might just hold off things for sometime. Market will recover soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if China is holding millions of Bitcoin by now. We can say that it is an orchestrated FUD delivered by their own government in order for them to have more Bitcoin for themselves. With the unclear news and lack of reputable news sources it creates panic to the global market resulting into the downfall of the cryptocurrency. But it is all just speculation for now as I don't have any proper evidence to my claim. But I don't see any reason why China always change their statements about Bitcoin.

Everyone who hated bitcoin are rallying, thinking it is bitcoins end. I like to tell new investor that it is our it works here. News drive bitcoin value either up or down.
