Title: Coinomi and BCD
Post by: eyesopen on January 17, 2018, 10:00:23 AM
Does anyone have any insight into when coinomi will be listing Bitcoin Diamond?
I have tried searching here to no avail and their twitter has nothing of note.
I have an electrum wallet and im ready to sweep the keys into coinomi f to get the Diamonds ;D

Coinomi tweeted (3 weeks ago) that they are working on something to allow users to claim free airdrops and legit forks so It shouldn't take long until It's available. You can also claim using this solution (https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@olsm/how-to-claim-bitcoin-diamond-bcd-super-bitcoin-sbtc-and-bitcoin-gold-btg). I haven't tried it but Bither is a known wallet. Just make sure to send your bitcoin somewhere else before importing the private keys.

The prerequisites for being listed were stated on coinomi's official Twitter account and stated below.

1. Access to the project's source code so that coinomi can review it.
2. Having an agreement with the BCD team.
3. The BCD blockchain has to be live and run without issues before coinomi will enable it.

If BCD has not yet been listed, then it's most likely coinomi is still reviewing them or does not deem it fit to have them listed.

If you don't want to wait on Coinomi you can always use the BCD Core wallet and import your keys there to claim your BCD.  That's what i did and it worked fine but it does require you to load the full 165GB blockchain.  You will want to send all your BTC to a new wallet first so you don't expose your BTC when you import the keys, i.e., make sure your wallet is empty of BTC before importing the keys somewhere else so you don't risk your BTC.  The BCD Core wallet is on github.  you can grab the compiled binaries here - https://github.com/eveybcd/BitcoinDiamond/releases (https://github.com/eveybcd/BitcoinDiamond/releases).

Coinomi ought to have support BCD before they supported BCA last year but I think something is holding the Coinomi back and a lot of Coinomi users have been asking the Coinomi team question about supporting BCD and no respond yet. So, no one know the actual time when they will suppport the BCD.

Coinomi is listing only forks, that have replay protection. So you can see for example Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold and BitcoinZ. To asure, that you will gain all forks, visit Playstore to see, if there is already an update on Coinomi.
Bitcoin Diamond may be still mentioned as scam like in November 17.

If you want nevertheless gain free Bitcoin Diamond, empty your wallet (move Bitcoin to another wallet) and export private key from Coinomi and import your key into another wallet, that supports BCD for example on exodus..But I would recommend to wait, until coinomi will add also BCD.
