MODS, could we please consider banning PUMP group threads? They clutter the forum and do not provide any value.

MODS, could we please consider banning PUMP group threads? They clutter the forum and do not provide any value.

I voted yes. I agree with you that they do not provide any value, they only make income for themselves in the expense of others.

Why would you vote 'yes' on this and miss out on such a huge list like this?  http://pumpand.win/ (http://pumpand.win/)

Just makes no sense, you people!

Pump groups must be banned, because every one of them is scam by default and there are so many new people in crypto, which becomes easy victims for them. Obviously community must educate as much as possible about these dark sides of crypto trading.
Can't vote, because of newbie  ;)

Either you don't have a moral compass or it is pointing south if you do not see why.

It is market manipulation, and should be treated as a crime...just because crypto is not regulated, doesn't mean it should be abused.  People like you will destroy crypto.  Giving governments a perfect excuse to intervene, maybe even outright ban it (in their own country).  >:(

This thread topic is more related to how this forum works rather than alt-cryptos.
I believe this thread should be moved to meta.

I don't know the stand of the forum about topics like this, but I think such topics should be discouraged, what they do is to rob newbies of their BTC, they are not interested the the token they are pumping but in our Bitcoin

You should make post in META part of forum. You will get answer super fast there. Admins and Mods dont read all forum for suggestions to improve, that is why they made special part of forum for that.

Here we go, now i've got someone going full SJW on me.  I suggest you get over yourself.  I don't run a p&d group and I have no inclination to either.

Crypto, especially in the alt coin space, is pure speculation and is mostly controlled (read: manipulated) by whales who put up buy/sell walls that no one likes either but i'm sure you don't think that should be illegal.  If there's one benefit to people who do this is that they break up those walls, so it's not all bad.

Definitely yes. If we want new people to use/buy and emerge into crypto-world, we should help them avoid these groups and any scam groups.

Why not ban the actual scammers in the Marketplace forum first? Many of them are running self-moderated scam threads over a year old.

Definetly a +1. In general I am against any type of banning other than real name calling and such things, but I would not mind making an exception with these groups.

I 'd rather suggest the group for dump and pump is closed. Pump and dump only will make people does not trust to that coin. Especially if the project is legit and we pump and dump it. It will become death project because of investor fearness.i really like the coin growing healthier rather then pump

If they believe that all groups are allowed on this forum, then perhaps a separate sub forum for pump and dump groups, scammers, and ponzi schemes should be created. That way people know what they are getting into and can take a risk at their own discretion rather than blame bct when it goes wrong.

MODS, could we please consider banning PUMP group threads?

Yes they could but if group has been shutdown another one will just take its place, you that theres a lot of problem that is happening in this forum right now and moderators are having a hard time catching them all up.

They clutter the forum and do not provide any value.

That what they do they just clutter and shill because they are paid to do that, there are some various thread that offer this for a price, mods and dt`s has been tagging them up to reduce the scam that will happen to potential investor that may come to their projects.

I think they should be banned , or placed in a seperate section with a clear warning at least. We all know how they make money and that is over the back of people who don't fully understand what is happening. That is the bad side of an unregulated market where it is so easy to pump and dump.
