I would just like to inform everyone of a new site where you can earn bitcoins for chatting.


What is coinpr0n?


Coinpr0n is an alternative to other chat communities for members who are 18+, who want a place to talk freely without having to worry about children. A lot of the members on other bitcoin related chatsites have quite a bit of younger members and therefore seem to be taking a step towards becoming more family friendly.

How do you earn bitcoins

There is nothing special you need to do to start earning on #coinpr0n except chatting. Your username will the nickname you decide to use on IRC.

 IMPORTANT: please note that to in order to secure your username (and the earnings with it) you will need to register your nickname with the IRC server. This is done in the standard manner you would register with any IRC server: type "/msg NickServ REGISTER <your_password>" without the quotes.


Is coinpr0n a porn site?


No, it's just a chat room. There are some NSFW adds, but the chat isn't porn related.

Is coinpr0n a super secret hacker/troll/scammer/spammer ring?


There have been some rumors generated by another bitcoin-related chat that coinpr0n is a hacker/scammer ring. This is false. It's just an alternative from other bitcoin related chats for people who want a mature environment. If there's any doubt otherwise you're always welcome to come and see for yourself.

I'm under 18, can I join.


Sorry, but no. Some of the discussions that come up can be pretty adult, and per the TOS users under the age of 18 will be banned.

I have always preferred to think of coinpr0n as a neighborhood bar, where good friends get together to discuss bitcoin and any other subject that happens to be floating around at the time. The owner and developers have really worked hard to ensure it is a feature-filled chat, one has the ability to share videos and images directly to other users and we also have some user bots that are very entertaining. I have been thrilled to see the user-base growing daily with many old faces from the community working to help bring this little project to fruition. The chat itself is IRC based, which may be difficult for some new users, but there will always be someone happy to help you get acquainted. As you mentioned, it is far from a "porn" site, as we also have popup charts and news feeds related to bitcoin for those who enjoy having the latest news and stats at their fingertips. There are some more games, etc. in development so I would like to extend a personal invitation to all to visit us, and feel free to make suggestions and comments!

You randomly get rewarded between 0.01 mBTC and 0.1 mBTC. Just like most other chatsite's.

I think Wildchild was attempting to explain what coinpr0n is not. Anyone posting/soliciting illegal content will be banned, plain and simple. For more information on earning bitcoins for chatting, you are welcome to visit the site or learn more on reddit at r/coinpr0n.

If you talk on a regular basis it really adds up. Nobody is going to give away a lot of BTC for nothing.

Other bitcoin chatsites pay out around the same amount, coinpr0n is just an alternative for people in the bitcoin environment for people who want more of a mature environment, where they don't have to worry about if the conversation is inappropriate for children.

I got permission to post this but I guess you got there first :P  I wasn't going to post after realizing what kind of boundary this puts most people in.

A new site?  From what I've heard this site has been up for more than 3 months, you just have to know where to find it ;)

Well, it has been up for about a month, but it's mainly consisted of a small group of users. Only recently have we been trying to gain more knowledge about it to the bitcoin world as an alternative to other bitcoin chatsites such as coinchat.

I tested it and its pretty cool :D

The other mebers are friendly and you can make good conversations :)

It works as far as I can see with the webbrowser based IRC client.

KiwiIRC fucks up. Use an alternative client, that will fix the problem for now.

I can't connect via mIRC either.
If you use geekshed.com and join #coinpr0n you see the topic of the chatroom but its almost dead right now and the bot giving away satoshis aint on either. Is there a way around this or do I have to wait for kiwiIRC to fix this?

The reason you were banned sounds so encouraging "that's a good start".  For me, this was funny.

Warning: This site has got a bad track record, and (as you probably know) if you use CoinChat, you will be banned if you use this site.
This is due to the accusations that coinpr0n is a spamming/trolling group, and that they took down numerous sites.
That's my 2 cents.

Not true Whiskers, not true. Coinpr0n was setup because CoinVisitor was down, this because of the finicial problems Kev was having. Coinpr0n did not take BitVisitor down. It didn't even exists then + the members liked Kev.

Meh, that's just from what I heard, not gonna debate that further.

We do actually need some closure about all this Coinpr0n vs Bitvisitor/CoinChat stuff. Like, what really happened? The accusations might not be publicly said anymore, but they are still laying there.

Coinpr0n was made because CoinVisitor was down and then hell broke lose for some reason. People accused Coinpr0n for destroying CoinVisitor, which is utter bullshit, because the people on Coinpr0n are the ones that always were on the CoinVistor chat. They liked Kev and wouldn't want to hurt him. They even supported him when he had problems with the government.
It had to shut down, because Kev and the goverment fucked up. Kev for reporting to late, the government for charging him for something that didn't exist. They thought he owned them a lot of money.

That is everything I know. I have no idea why that CC bullshit started or who started the fucked up rumor that Coinpr0n destroyed CoinVisitor.
And yes, I was there. On CoinVisitor and on Coinpr0n. I had and still have admin status on both and if anyone wants to judge me on that, go ahead. You only hurt yourself by doing that, because I couldn't care less.
