Good news, so this is what made bitcoin price go back to over 10.000 dollars. It is too early for the news to have impact on the bitcoin price so tomorrow I am hopeful that when I wake up to see the price of bitcoin back to 12.000 or more dollars. I wonder what people who are mining are thinking in this moment when difficulty has gone up and price down ?

I am 100% sure some people in the government do this bullshit for a purpose maybe to buy cheap btc. Same thing was made when ltc try to rise from $4 to $50. There will be no ban for sure, they play with market

Why ban should impact cryptos, south korea is small country and cryptos are decentralized

Come on.. in NY there is a 14:32 - at what time expires first futures? And what about second futures? First must expire today and second on 26 January, but I'm not sure at what time - so this is the one of the reason bitcoin price dropped. Yeap the news about South Korea also did their job, but they are not only. Also China New Year is coming and many people cash out for travelings. So it might that bitcoin price will rise, but I think it will take more time - it will start to recover by the end of January or from 16 February (after Chinese New Year).

Well my name is cynical so i agree.
The article states that this was announced on the 15th, why 2 days later are we still on a downward trend.
If the markets start going up its gonna be quick i recon.

"South Korean banks have reportedly reversed their decisions to stop servicing cryptocurrency accounts." - newsbtc.com

The latest news just says that so far no prohibitions will be introduced.

Not really. That article is published last Jan 15, 2018. I'm still not thinking that, this is the reason behind this fall is South Korea banning trading crypto-currency. Lets get it back to 15K USD in weekend! Buy now!

Cryptocurrency is very volatile and media contribute a lot, there are thousands variables, it is a new currency, the only thing that will work is HODL, it is the true power of cryptocurrencies, if the community understand this we will be safe and strong.

Markets go up and down because people believe more in what media say that in their own intuition.

It's time to ask yourself why are you interested in crypto, if you are here only to speculate in market price probabily you didn't understand the true objective of cryptocurrencies that is to create wealth and prosperity through an alternative financial system.

Listen to veterans, study and learn day by day and be strong.

What exactly do they mean by “excessive speculation”? How do they think they are going to control price swings in bitcoin?

“excessive speculation and fraudulent activities will be met with severe consequences.”

Why ban should impact cryptos, south korea is small country and cryptos are decentralized

south korea have a lot of very important exchanges.
Yes, people can at least try to use exchange located not there, but people are afraid becouse they think: "south korea ban is only the beginning..."
