The actual market is perfectly fine and about the news in south korea are simply just shutting down the exchanges for the mean time while they are still on process how to regulate cryptocurrencies on their market. But the big problem is when there is a negative news the greedy whales and institution are riding it to make the market lower. As they know that crypto world has lot of new investors and they can easily put fear uncertainty and doubt to them (FUD). The crypto currencies have very volatile market because its not regulated if you will ask me i would chose to have some regulation in our market so we have an assurance and we can stay out of this kind of games that the whales and institutions are playing.

Cryptocurrency market is easily affected by the issue,The decline in the value of these virtual currencies is allegedly related to the plan to tighten the rules about cryptocurrency in a number of countries in Asia.

Every new year's begining, all exchanges goes down, because of the big companies new schedules. This year blockchain exchanges went down very hard. We were excepting this but to be honest not like this hard.

Honestly, who knows the next time China decides to try to ban crypto again?

Usually Januaries are a pretty bad month for crypto but this crash was pretty sudden I think. So I dunno, I still have high hopes for some crypto this year with that being said (e.g. eth, ripple, etc).

Recently crypto market situation is very bad and decreased drastically, this happened because of the issue of the ban crypto in several Asian countries such as south korea, indonesia and china. This news is spreading very fast and many crypto new users experience panic, which makes them sell their crypto assets simultaneously.

I sure after chinese new year there will be market changes, all crypto will be recovered and back up.

in my opinion its all american cboe futures, they lasted until 18 of januar so many people wanted to profit more and they bought many millions plus ofcourse some of korean,.chinese people as always wanted to buy more cheap coins.

Unequivocally, the situation was created artificially so the New Year I think here has no influence. I think that this was due to the fact that some serious uncles, maybe even countries that had previously been bought by bitcoin, could simply squeeze the price, through their statements.

My only forecast for this cryptocurrency market is there will be always bloodbaths will going on throughout the year most especially in every important holidays.
But as most traders and experienced investors are waiting for this kinda season because everything and every coin are on sale and we're shopping until our shopping carts will be full.

I guess BTC will surpass a 20k high in February-March. Current correction is just another whales' games. There are a lot of newcomers got into this market recently so they are currently feel very bad just because it was their first serious correction. The new wave of a growing starts.

It's obvious that the reason is the situation in China and Korea where officials are planning to ban mining and ICOs. Prices will be unstable till there will some decision. Even if they will really start banning it's not a disaster I think. Prices will drop, but after a while will go back I think, so no worries.

there are many factors, because in the crypto market all can happen. state regulators are very influential on some policies. but this is crypto, always has a different story with other stock exchanges.

Chinese New Year is guilty definitely! But media have intensified this phenomenon in many cases. Soon everything will fall into place!

Last today's drop is a healthy sign for this market as correction was awaited from long and it happen's now. correction are part of this market.

I think chinese new year has no big effect like yesterday because its never been like this last year and year before. Its situation is most probably because the south korean issue

altcoins and btc are gradually beginning to grow, but I would not be surprised if in a day or two day another wave starts for a bigger decline.

Agree that media creates instability with FUD and bubble talk, chinese new year and south korea where probably the catalyst, but hope that it will rise soon again!

In my opinion, this is normal period.. each 2-3 month, this dramatical decreasing realized in past. every proper coin will increase and hit theri ATH. no panic :)
