Can you do a pump and dump with little money?in a cryptocurrency

No you can't ! little money doesn't even move the market upward and almost no reflect in the graph.
Doing a pump and dump scenario on market is a hard thing to do. You need to have a lot of money to gamble and you will also need more connections on social media.

Lol, a dump is typically when the person sells off a huge position which influences price action to the downside. In many cases, that will require the accumulation of the asset in large quantities and requires $$$.

i don't think so.. You need to have a lot of money in order pump a coin up until many will follow the same with dumping you need to have a lot of coins in order to move the market in order to dump. So basically in order to do it if you have any plans form a group of individuals with large capitals.

What is a little money you're taking about? It depends.
For my $1,000 is a little money or someone's $1 is a little also.
Well, no matter how little your money but if you're willing to invest you'll get earnings, not as huge as trading with big capital but you'll get an increase out from your assets.
You can start trading with any amount as long as you want to because in Cryptocurrency there's no good amount to start off but as long as you have time and willingness, you'll probably get profits.

The total capitalization of crypto currency market is about $500B so you need to be a big whale to control the prices of the crypto currencies.But I don't think people from here are not have that much ability to control the prices.So we have to make the money using the bumps and dumps accordingly.There is another option to control the bump and dump by spreading the positive and negative news all over the world.If you have these kind of ability the you also can the bumps and dumps.

You might be able to manipulate coins with low market cap that have low buy and sell walls. Since theres not many orders from both sides it is posiblle to jump in with lets say 1k-2k$ and simply time the market and start to do some small pump & dump but the question is here will it be worth it? Because when you start to pump some people might feel it's great to sell at that price so you might even lose money if many start to sell.

how much is that little money? there are a lot of altcoins with a small value in the market and a good start for a small amount of investment that can use to dump and pump altcoins, some of the traders just used small amount of money to play with the market pump and dump.

yes you can. join the group here and just follow their pump. if you mean pumping by yourself, then that is probably hard to do by yourself especially with low money.

If you are aware of the needed things and concepts behind pumps and dumps then you would not have come up with such a question. Basically will not be possible for a small capital trader as a trader must be lots of money to buy more number of assets so that its price will go up and we are calling this pumping.

To dump, you must have more number of assets to sell so again it will not be possible with very little money. But group of people with (comparatively) little money can together can do pumps and dumps.

Do you know if the many pump and dump channels are effective at all? Still seems like a pretty big gamble to me so IDK if it's really worth it.

Of course it's high risk. If you're not fast enough you wouldn't be able to ride the pump and/or sell at the peak, making you lose money. Besides the whole thing is just horrific, the owner of the group buys some shitcoins then tells the group that the coin would be pumped so everyone would buy. It's mainly profitable for the owner, it's not worth it.

It's not always wealthy people doing it, it's people who are part of pump groups dumping on their own members. If you have a big group you might not need that much capital at all.

The small amount of money can not afford to dump the tokens. So if you plan on it, do not waste time. You can only dump or pump tokens if you have many people will do that,

However, i think you can do this with unpopular coins. There are many such coins on yobit and etherdelta.

It might be possible but you need to be lucky. Pick one of the super low cap coins that cost like 2 satoshi and then pump it up with your small bag. then see if someone else will join in due to fomo and then you can dump it ;D (p.s. this is not recommended, just proof of concept only)

Certainly, if only with small amount of money. Is possible. Pumping n dumping is part of crypto. Though not encouraged by those with huge amount.

if you talk about bitcoin and ethereum or others top 100 of crypto in marketcap,,

I agree, it takes knowledge for it all.  the initial capital for pumping one of the crypto is large enough. if you are a developer maybe you can do it.

It depends on the market you are trying out. However, you yourself cannot do a pump and dump with little money, but you can participate in one. However, if you are referring to pump and dump groups, then you should not bother, as this would end up making you to lose your funds. Most pump and dump markets are shitcoins anyway, so you can just take the risk, take a look at the previous trend on the charts, and then buy in at the dip and set a sell order for whenever the pump happens. Most of these coins can go as high as 50 - 100%, so you can gradually make profit. However, you can also end up bag holding shitcoins in the process if you end up unlucky.

No one is stopping you because first of all it is your investment, your property and you could do whatever you desire to do and in my opinion pump and dump a little is one of the best way to secure your rate of return or profit. Hold you token as long as you do not need it and sell few or sell your token according to your needs so that there will be no excess that could have gain a lot more if it is still a token invested. So, in total, I surely do saying that it is a big yes.

Little money (lean capital) is not good for trading. Without sufficient capital you will not do your best in trading. You will always be mindful of your lean resources and miss out on good trading or you leave too early on a trade that would have given you much profit. Get your capital before you venture.

I think it is nearly impossible. To get an idea about that, you can search for the coins' market values, and can start think about the amount difference between the little money and the money which in the market.

I have heared that there are big pump and dump groups which works with this kind of thing but  i seriously doubt that one can easily gain access to these kind of groups.
this is how they do it because if we think ratiionally , usually nt one person buys and sells huge amounts of currency but thousands of people which are most likely connected in automated or semi automated network.

Usually you need lots of money to pump and dump coin but you can pump coin without money.
You will need large amount of people who will follow you and trust you so they will pump coin.

I don't even suggest pumping and dumping though. I'm more into long term holds that make you more money in the end lol.

Only those whales can do it the pump and dump strategy in trading. They can manipulate the price according to what they wants.
With your little money you can join a group of people, say in twitter which they choose a coin to promote a pump and dump strategy in a certain time.
But if do it alone your little money has no effect to price in the market.

Here is how pump and dump groups work:

There is typically one person or at max a group of 5 to 10 who start the "group".
They start it by buying up cheap, low volume coins on exchanges before even advertising for their group.
They set up a sell order list in small increments and amounts to ease buying and price pumping while they hold on to the bulk of their coins
They then go to bitcointalk, reddit, youtube, twitter, whatever to recruit.
Once they get around 100 to 150 people, they "announce" a coin that the group will pump then dump.
It is usually right before the scheduled pump and dump, sometimes even minutes before.
Everyone starts buying up the coins that the group founders had already purchased and listed, price shoots up.
When it's high enough the founders dump all the rest of their coins at once, this creates a sell order "wall" of sorts that starts to bring the price down.
Now that all the coins have been dumped on the group the market is just in desperate catch up (which will never happen).
Congratualtions, you just gave all your money to the founders of the group.

I literally SAW it happen a couple times on cryptopia.  It's quite a fantastic sight to see.  Especially when the "Wall" pops up.

You need atleast 5BTCs to play some lowmarketcap coin,but it isnt advisable because many small players will lose to what you will do,and you are just typically hyping the coin to get more profits,its unhealthy thing to our community that the whales are keep doing,big players are the worst and most greedy people in the market do not do what they are doing,just join the hype and come out faster than these whales.

If the marketcap is really small then the coin value can get pumped or dumped. If you have a lot of money then you could also pump and dump a coin also.

if the coin you are buying is worth verry little you can make a verry little pump with nog much money but you will need a very very large group of people with little money to get it done.

Well.it depends upon the coin's marketcap in which you are investing.If the marketcap is high,then you would be just a tiny fish not able to do so.

If the coin has small market cap and value plus there are only a few sell and buy orders, you may be able to pump the price by placing buy orders with higher price. However, since you only use little money to buy the coin, the transaction volume will be so low that even a person with limited knowledge in trading will figure out it is a trap and hence avoid participating in the game, leaving you playing alone.
However, this is not the worst case. The worst case is when someone holds a large amount of that coin knows that there is a sudden increase in price, he will try to sell all his coins to you…and you end up with lots of coin bought at higher price…..

You can do this on a shitcoin because the volume is too low that a small amount can move the price either way. But that will not work to seasoned traders because they will notice it immediately. To a more stable and popular coin, you need to have a lot of money to initiate a pump or dump trend.

Nope, I guess you won't be moving the market with that little of a money. The movement of prices will be depending on how much you would be placing yourself in the market. The greater the percentage you give in the greater the possibility that you can affect the prices or you can easily manipulate it.
I think it's a bit harder since investors such as businesses are involve now. A single person can't or an average person can't allocate even a near to one percent of investment.

Actually do investing here are good always for long term so low and high spend so much long time in any coins that all we can do in investing here even big or low money so there's no need to ask if you like to invest big or little money because it's base only if the price go really high then you sell it in that time another thing i invest only a little here and it's 7x now since i start.

No, you need a lot of money for pump and dump strategies (if you could call it strategy). If you don't have much money, you will be better off investing them in some mid to long term project and wait for good time to sell.

You can't pump and dump coin even if the market cap is small if you just have a $1k. Better not to focus on this matter instead focus on holding great coin because if you just look at a short term goal then you might loose money. Always look for a long term goal so you can have a lot of time to accumulate more coins.

pumping coin mean you buy it until the price go up cause the demand increase and the supply decrease cause you buy it, if you not have a lot of money you can do that.

Nope a little bit of money cant possibly manipulate the price of the market you need a more money to do some manipulation of the prices of that token that you want to dump or pump because there are so many whales that can easily break the walls in the order list

It is not possible to pump or influence the Market with the little money. But if you have big social connections than you can influence the market without money.

If you check 24hrs volume of coins below 800 rank in a market cap you see like 20k to 100k. In crypto market, it is considered quite a little. I'm sure majority of this coin owners are just selling the coin to themselves, attracting some guys, who blindly looking for 1000% profits. And no risk to coin owners as money is just going in circles. I'm always checking 24hrs volume, looking for values at least a million dollars to do come conclusions.

You can't change the money flow with just some money, you need to push by much and much money to change it!

You won't gain much, but you still will be able to gain something. Just watch out for fees, so you don't lose too much money on unsuccessful pumps. Join a huge PND group and follow their lead.

You can pump and dump with only 1000 USD, if there are the cryptos whose market cap is 10000 USD.

I do not think that you can pump or dump coins with a small amount of money, you need a lot of money and a lot of people to raise a fever for buying or selling, it's actually just psychological tools.

The so called whales are the one who can really have an effect of the movement of the price. Small amount doesn't really affects the value, though if small amounts got combined maybe it will. But the price is really not dependent on anyone, some group might manipulate it for a short period of time but will once againg draw back to its decentralized feature.

Dumping and pumping happens so ussual in the crypto world, I may say that this happens because bitcoin haven't reach yet it stable state. And another thing is that there were still lot of people not engage with it.

The pump and dump methodology can only be applied when the market is volatile in the short run and the investment is predictable. As there exists a high volatility in the crypto market, it may be possible to make a lot of money in a short time frame but this also presents a simultaneous greater risk of losing the amount invested, this is where the predictability of trends comes in. Perhaps the Elliot curve analysis may help in this.

If you have an insider information you can do anything on dump and pump with any amount of money. Where you do not have such hindsight  and  you are toying with such an idea the whales will sweep the little you have within a twinkling of an eye.
