Title: Total Noob - need some help starting to mine Monero Post by: pharmacist25 on January 18, 2018, 04:52:47 PM I was setting up my Monero port yesterday and forgot to put the port number on the location address. Now when it tries to start it just says Socket Error and keeps trying to start. It will not let me get back to settings to fix the error. Any ideas? Or do you need a screenshot? I can screen shot later if needed. Thanks in advance.

Also, if you're using NVIDIA cards, assume you have specified the algo cryptonight in the .bat file ( -a cryptonight) ?
