Title: I've got a question
Post by: Reverberation1 on August 20, 2013, 01:17:20 AM
Do I need to verify  my account at coinbase to sell bitcoins and if so, how much verification do I need/require? Thanks for your answers.

You don't need to verify your phone number to sell bitcoins, but you need to verify your number to buy bitcoins.

Otherwise, its email and bank account. Process takes 3-5 days

If you want to sell/trade instantly, you need to fill out a verification form and give your social security #. If you don't, transactions are delayed for four days.

A four day delay can work if you just want to either buy or sell Bitcoin once in a while, not try to make money by trading it.

I'm not sure, I haven't done it yet but the first part is just filling out a form with basic info along with the last 4 digits of your SSN.
