Title: Coinbase freezing up
Post by: Walrus1 on January 18, 2018, 11:11:44 PM
Hey, I don't have a lot of complaints about coinbase. Yesterday it got buggy which I understand but today when I click the drop down screen to buy, sell or check accounts none of them respond to touch. I am not spreading fud on coinbase just want to see if this limited to me or if you guys are experience. Other than these glitches, I really enjoy coinbase

Hopefully there will be a service that can replace Coinbase. Though they offer ease of purchase of btc, they also have shown an irresponsibility in helping out customers.

Coinbase is having so many customer already, that the possible cause of the delay and freezing maybe. Hope they can scale something that the system can handle because it can affect their customer.

Hey I'm hoping one of you could tell me if you are having trouble with the coinbase dropdown menu where you can choose dashboard, buy, sell and setting etc. for me it is still not responding and I'm getting nervous

You should just try to transition over to using GDAX instead of coinbase. GDAX is owned by Coinbase it is just their trading platform. Along with having a much better platform and ability to see better graphs and depth charts I'm pretty sure the fee's are less than Coinbase's as well for just about anything.

This maybe happened due to the overload of customer in coinbase exchange. Many of the exchanges already shut down their exchanges due to not able to handle the traffic in their network so all people might use coinbase for purchasing cryotocurrency. But coinbase is one of the best place we can buy bitcoin.
If you still want other options then use localbitcoins.com,you can use your fiat money to buy bitcoins and it is available in all the countries so you can use your local currency too.

We are seeing the beginning of wide spread adoption.  Coinbase is one of the more prominant exchanges, and perhaps the most user friendly.  I suspect that they are experiencing a large influx of new customers.  I also suspect that they want to fix any such problem as soon as possible beause it is almost certainly costing them money.  Give it a day or two and it should be fine.  If not there are plenty of other exchanges.

Coinbase is now undergoing so many growing pains. This can be what others might call as 'happy problems' but for customers or members this can mean big headache and possibility of a loss. The challenge then to Coinbase is to upgrade their capability that can respond to the growing transactions from expanding membership base. They should do it as soon as possible or be facing soured customers. While other exchanges are dreaming of more business coming their way, it seems to me that Coinbase has no problem attracting more members and they should take it as a great compliment but make sure they can satisfy their customers well enough otherwise their own business will suffer.

almost all exchanges have issues like this at times like this!
whenever there is a big drop that many people sell or whenever there is a recovery (like now) when all those people and more come back to buy back bitcoin these exchange servers can not handle this much customer and become slower and even go down sometimes. and that is something that we can't do anything about.
even if you switch to other exchanges like Kraken,... you will see the same problem at some point.

Coinbase has a lot of customers already and if they are not careful to fix things on time this will affect they customers greatly, I have lost a lot of bitcoin since yesterday I sold my bitcoin and went back to buy during this drop and the green menu has refused to work I hope coinbase will fix this soon or we move to other site.

Maybe, the best way to avoid the above issue - try not to buy/sell Bitcoin/BCH/Ethereum/Litecoin during the massive drop or rise of a certain coin. Else, we still need to face with the unavoidable website/dropdown menu freeze patiently...
