Our plan is to develop a great, really global, network of clinicians and doctors  who will present on our Platform.
Do you know any doctors/ clinics that can accept cryptocurrency as a payment for their services? Any countries are welcome!

Japan is very progressive with regards to crypto payments etc, so I recommend you to research their market closely. 

Your idea of creating such platform is really amazing by itself, but I highly doubt about the doctors,who might join the platform. It is really hard to see any doctor accepting Bitcoins here.

Well, there might be some good candidates for your project from all around the world, and finding them wont be so difficult for you. But, to have those people working for or working in your platform, or website is really hard. They might find your project interesting, and because of which they might join your website and start working as crypto-doctor.

Well, actually via our platform patients can pay with fiat money also, and doctors can accept fiat for their services.
That's why that isn't a major issue.
But it's important to research whether there are  doctors out there who are involved in crypto world already

This is a nice, progressive idea and probably will not be accepted in many countries. Healthcare is one of the areas where such "experiments" usualy are not very welcome.
I think that is especialy good for those who don't have health insurance and can't afford to pay in fiat money. Hope it will work.

In my country as of now , no clinics or doctors are accepting crypto currencies mostly as i live in a country wherein the usage of coins is not regulated.But i see the future of crypto currencies good as the block chain technology is useful in many ways and the regulation would imply that these technologies and coins would bring a good change in our economies.

ICO is all about any aspect of a profession in the community all over the word! if you remember denta coin for dental health and hearthy ICO for improving medical treatment and record! everything is possible with crypto.

This is an innovation via the blockchain. It will push the blockchain technology far to the people and making Bitcoin usage and acceptance further and

If doctors and clinics accept crypto to help the market thrive, this is also a blockchain application to life. But it is hard to do because many countries are trying to ban it.

Actually blockchain is a technology is being studied and I hope will be implemented soon even by public medical institutions.
But I completely agree that it's not an easy job to create something such innovative and outstanding: a lot is required. Medicine is very serious field, needs licenses and etc.
As for WELL, for instance, it works since 2015 (but without blockchain for that time) in California,has acquired medical license and is HIPAA compliant.

Even they accept or not there's some way to be related in accepting cryptocurrency like change first this to fiat,it's already in our own wallet and we can change direct that btc to fiat here in our country so that's not problem if they accept it or not another thing i know transaction in btc is so volatile so i think in digital it's really good but if you going to pay in hospital i think the process in that situation is going so long.

Your plans are really great, but to do that is not really easy. and in the present circumstances, finding a human resource that accepts salaries by crypto is a very difficult task. in addtion, Will the government allow you to do this or not?

Why should doctors use your platform? It seems easier just to exchange crypto into fiat and pay for tretment. Then you won't have to pay the service fees and the recieving side won't have to deal with extra accounting issues. If doctors need to accept crypto they can do it via bitpay or a simple transaction. You won't be able to provide a high quality healthcare on your platform if there wil be better specialists that accept only fiat.

yes, the issue you raised is one of the problems that WELL want to solve. On our platform services will cost up to 30% less than a general medical appointment.
Moreover, payment via WELL platform will be very beneficial for those, who do cross border payment, for instance.

Well, yes, for now the world isn't ready for cryptocurrencies in our daily life and medicine specifically.
Though blockchain, for instance, can bring lot of good to the way we store patients' data in clinic, payments and etc.

Yes, can you share it please? are you from the United States? i am from there and i have never heard about a hospital or some other kind of Optician's who are accepting bitcoin or any other kind of cryptos so far. Please, if you can, share it with us

I am a U.S.-based psychiatrist who just started accepting cryptocurrency  in my multi-state direct-to-consumer  telepsychiatry practice. I decided to accept crypto mainly due to its lower processing fees compared to credit cards.
 Joinwell.io sounds like an interesting, innovative concept in global healthcare .However,   medical licensing and malpractice risk management  issues could  be challenging especially  for US-based providers that are  trained to be cautious in this  litigious environment.

This all sounds well if you’re out of pocket but let’s say you have a healthcare provider then it really doesn’t matter as they handle all payments to your caregivers.

I don't like the idea of medical consultations over the Internet. This is stupid. It's like a virtual wedding. You can have virtual sex but the fun and children you don't have to be. It seems to me that the establishment of such platforms is premature. When cryptocurrencies will be popular people will be looking for ways to earn them.

I think these is a good idea if it will happen because many people are already using digital currency, plus the price is increasing. You can also have a choice on how you want to pay. I also think  that more people will accept bitcoin if these happens.

I don't think so if there are hospital that accept bitcoin right now, but maybe in near future all the establishment will accept bitcoin so that's everyone will became stable. I hope someday it became okay.

Yes it will be a good thing for bitcoin to be known by other people.  And it would be a good help foe those who do not have money but have bitcoin.  I hope that it will be implemented as well here in my country.  Hope that doctors would do their best knowung that we payed them our hard earned bitcoins.

Thanks for opinion. But still there are many ways where online appointments may be useful and helpful. For instance, when you already have a diagnosis concluded by another doctor and you want a second opinion.

Man anything would be better that what the US healthcare system has set up right now, the payments are still ridiculously paper based.  Factor in the trillions of dollars that are spent on healthcare every year and it's a prime market to be disrupted with a digital currency.  Can't tell you how many times I've spent an hour on the phone trying to figure out my bill with a healthcare provider, when they received the check, and all that. 
 

This could also be a great opportunity for a bitcoin to become a worldwide legal mood of payment I think. This could be very helpful to bitcoin to become more popular and also for a society to accept bitcoin and adopt bitcoin also as a means of payment, and also become their investments too, which will become also very helpful to them.

This is a thought that needs to be well analysed where clinics, pharmacies, hospitals and doctors accepting fees in terms of bitcoins. Out of the aforementioned four, doctors are individuals and the rest of the three are institutions. When it comes to doctors, well it is not easy to find one who would accept payment in terms of bitcoins.

Many times a doctor's fee is per visit basis and his earning gradually become an everyday affair unless a doctor too is a salaried employee of a hospital (sometimes this too happens especially with the junior doctors in a few countries). So it is not easy for the doctors to get going upon accepting bitcoins. Again, the fact of paying a doctor in terms of bitcoin as of now seems a little pointless.

However, when we consider the institutions like hospitals and clinics well the option of accepting payment through bitcoin should be made available as far as I personally am concerned. I do not as yet know any of these healthcare providers accepting bitcoins, there could be a few, but it is better to have this option open.

When patients come from different countries or tourists when they fall sick, it becomes easy for them to pay in terms of bitcoins than go through the whole process of currency exchange. This in fact makes things easier for people and patients. The hassle of carrying a card or cash can be bypassed. Such an arrangement should be promoted that makes things comvenient for all of us who are world citizens, where our world is getting smaller and closer.

Well, speaking about the service it does seem to me innovative and will take giant leap in the future for sure. I don't really think my practitioner will really like the idea to get paid in terms of bitcoin but I'm sure you will do great with this services. Hope to see some lists in the future updates if you could. The website is fine but you may wish to update a complete list of doctors according to the region and then everyone can access it easily.

Nowadays we could see bitcoin getting accepted as payment in health care industries, real estate, shipping industries.Earlier it got accepted only in online shops. The acceptance of bitcoin as mode of payment at health care centers and clinics is really an encouraging thing. This will not help the owners of bitcoin to use their bitcoin in case of emergency but it will also result in increase in fame and popularity of bitcoin in the international market. Agree, but nowadays everything changes pretty fast and more technologies get integrated into different fields. So, hopefully, once we will reach that stage with crypto payments for medical services.

Hope this is the first step for a huge acceptance for the whole world to list the crypto currencies as a payment method for their service .

I can say it's only a first step in this direction. Crypto is not actually accepted quite a lot yet, though that can be so in future.
Still cool projects appear that use crypto and blockchain technology to make healthcare more advanced, secure and efficient. Our platform - WELL - can hopefully become an example of them

Everyone would expect this to happen, including me. Due to the acceptance of bitcoin for the cost of treatment to doctors and clinics, it proves that bitcoin can be accepted by all societies including the world of health and facilitate the people who invest in Criptocurrency to treat the diseases they suffer.

That's a good idea. We really want to create a global network of specialists that can join our telehealth platform (and now we are developing the product). But as I've mentioned paying wth crypto is something we really want to see in the near future, and for now we'll also work with fiat money also.

That was a very great idea since there are a lot of people who really needs to go to doctor to check their health, medical bills will be cheaper if we are going to use cryptocurrency since the value in the market is very high even it was dumped now a days.

im also hopping that this idea could have a break through globaly because this could greatly affect the state of bitcoin. affect that i mean is in a good way or advantage like for example bitcoin can became more popular in the public because even doctors and hospital are now trusted it. Interesting, but i saw some healthcare ICO's that accept payment and based on cryptocurrency. But, this is a cool and great project for me. I saw a ICO that is free from asking about the your healthcare, its free to call a doctor and that is so nice!

I think there are atleast 200 clinics or in medical industry accepting bitcoin according to coinmap.org. It is a good idea if  doctors would accept this as MOD especially for those people who have no health insurance coverage  but had invested in Bitcoin.

The project is interesting but I have some questions...

1- How do you check that people registering as doctors are really doctors? You know, I guess, that in many countries (if not all), studies to become doctor, nurse and so on, are really hard and demanding. But people can pretend they are doctors, then register. You would be ready to risk people's life?

2- In some countries, being a foreign doctor is not enough to get a right to practice. If you are.. I don't know, Bulgarian doctor, you may not be allowed automatically to be a doctor in the UK for example. So, again, how can you make sure that people from different countries are well entitled to practice?

3- Due to the volatility of bitcoin, how can you make sure that surgery operation and routine visits are not completely overcharged? That's the main problem of bitcoin so if you know a way to solve it, please share it!

Please, answer these few questions, I will have more. This topic really matters to me, so please explain your projects with further details! ;)

technological developments are increasing rapidly so there is nothing I can not be sure that sooner or later it will be achieved and is expected to facilitate access to hospital payments but all the necessary agreement between the parties involved.
and later will facilitate the pasiean in making payments that have no cash because the hospital has received payment using bitcoin ;)

it is very interesting that there will be a clinic or medical doctor who will accept payment by using crypto payment method. but before this can be realized I think there needs to be an understanding of people who do not understand about the method of payment that uses crypto currency because although there are certainly many people who have not understood at all about the method of payment by using crypto system. I think this will work well if the way tersebuat can be realized to all levels of society.

Things are developing fast. It's good to know that more and more people get into bitcoin and we all are heading the same direction: bitcoin world

It is very hard for doctors to accept bitcoin since most of them(at least in my country none of them, maybe just private clinics) are not even accepting credit cards. Also, only a few shops and companies accept bitcoin because of its disadvantages now, so I dont think doctors are going to accept it anytime soon.

It would be nice to create a legal firm that connects bitcoin users directly with the companies so they can pay with bitcoin and the companies receive directly money but that implicates a lot of work and not many are going to accept this because not so many people uses bitcoin to pay for products or services and those who are using have to pay pretty high fees for using it. Also the companies that would accept it they would have to pay a fee for this service of exchanging bitcoin into money and they are in disadvantage.
