Do you guys see how fast the market cap is climbing right now??? its insane, all time high coming soon I predict!

yes the price now is climbing again to 12k value .maybe the bitcoin price will continue to surge now to the top And for sure this is the right time to buy and hold to gain more profits.

How do you keep track of the marketcap as it moves?  What websites?

This is only normal, bitcoin didn't deserve to be so low from the start. Markets are starting to realize this, and since the price has been sitting around $10k-11k for the past few days, they feel safe to buy in one again.

But it's really no reason to say that we're mooning from this point. We're going to moon sooner or later, but we're not there yet. First, we will have to break $15k which is a important milestone for bitcoin price. Then, the ATH may dwindle and be replaced by a new one.

When we're at that stage, you can safely call it "mooning". Right now, i'm still cautiously optimistic.

Yeah as the price is steadily going up but we cant be certain that it will last long, this is just the recovery state of bitcoin and having an all time high again is far from reality.

I'd like it to happen so soon too after all it will eventually happen as bitcoin will be more valuable its unstoppable anyway, if the whales can't make the holders dump their BTC for the price today, they may be able to when the price starts to climb up to more than $20k. Make it happen ans we'd all be surprising the people from the stock market.

Basically everything has been going up today, bitcoin especially. Already up close to double figures compared to yesterday, and i can see $13000 per coin very soon at this rate. Potentially next week we'll see another big pump taking the price up to pre-dump levels.

This is why you never, ever sell into the FUD. You'll be met with a big pump after everything is over. The reason why a lot of people have weak hands is that they don't understand that dumps can happen, and it's not the end of the world when it does.

Congratulations to everyone who held their bitcoins, or even bought bitcoins at a sub-$10k level. I doubt that we are going to see bitcoins that cheap on sale for a long time to come, at least for a month or two.  ;)

I wouldn't say that we are mooning, but definitely the price is picking up today. Its now heading to $13,000, and I'm sorry for those newbies who have sold  their coins during the crash. They make the biggest mistakes that you can do during crash, to panic sell. I'm sure that they head is somewhat clear by now and know what really happened, high price to pay, but hey, its part of their learning process. But I would like to see a steady recovery, much safe in my opinion. We don't want a sudden surge once again, it will look like its another artificial pump. Let the growth be organic, otherwise we will see another crash in the horizon if the price is pump so hard to reach $20K.

By this time next week we may have make serious positive progress and seriously the dump is actually over and from next month we should expect to be above  $17,000 to $20,000. Bitcoin is currently above  $12,500 in just three days of recovery and I will follow you to say we are mooning. This is a leason to many of us that no matter what happens bitcoin is going to recover and that is what we should hold on to during dump.

actually i say the mooning began at least 4 days ago when the drop began!
when the whales started the dump and the FUD began to come out so that newbies panic sell, that was when the mooning project officially started. by that time the whales and smart money so to speak started being invested in bitcoin as the price reached the bottom and idiot newbies were thinking bitcoin is dead "this time".

we will have some more fluctuations and accumulation while the price creeps up and eventually when it reaches certain level the same newbies panic buy because they know they missed out.

Things grow in waves though. To be honest we should hope for a slow creep up rather than a pump because that will mean there's a dump again later on, and we won't really know when that will happen. Still, theres this wave effect that happens. The more BTC grows, the faster it does so. Just like the FUD spread over the course of 2-3 days, FOMO will do the same on the way up.

Yep, the yesterday I saw the market cap of BTC at $198B while ETH at $100B and now both increased for just a short period of time. Those whales who basically dumped their coins before the dip, they are waiting for this moment and now they are starting to pump it. If this increase will be continuous then we will definitely going to see bitcoin mooning.

Yup! this is not mooning or we can not see bitcoin taking further of to the moon, Because this is just recovering from the gloomy market that we had so I suggest to buckle up and buy your bitcoin if there are still a chance to buy low, But I can never say that it is safe to say and to assume that we can break in the $20,000 mark because of the recent news there are some investors having doubt to this for bitcoin to make another bull run.

Yeah most probably ATH is coming soon but no one knows that when, may be it will achieve within a week or it may take month.
Considering the market cap nothing new in bitcoin market, it always recovers its price with a prominent speed but due to the current uncertainty it is quite difficult to rise same as in 2017.

I saw it and I expected it already that after the whole bloody week, we'll be green for the next weeks to come but I'm still not that sure of on how long it will recover until it reaches back $19k. Enduring the bloodbath is quite hard if you don't have any experience or it's the first time you've been with it. But to those who stayed and did nothing to their bitcoin keep on holdin' on until we see a new ATH.
If he recovered that much and he use that term then there's nothing wrong to express how happy you are with that word.

If you ask me, you should rather look at the actual prices of major atcoins and bitcoin itself since the market cap is a really, really poor metric for the purpose which you have in mind. It includes a lot of shitty coins which may grow a few times in a very short while thus contributing to the expansion of the market cap, but they are still shitcoins, no matter how much their price surges. And if you look at Bitcoin, it is still in a correction phase on what would be a mid to long-term downtrend.

I am not sure if now the price will soon rise. I am more of a think that the price will probably drop to $ 2k. I still wait for the price to go down again. 'profit?' that I got when the price dropped 3 days back, and now I am waiting for the price lower than now.It will happen I strongly believe this

Are not you being optimistic in exaggeration? 40k is a very big increase for little time and without big and good news, we are below  $13000. the best we can think of is $17000 or $19000 at the most


man why the hell are you so pessimistic? if fall for this price I can not imagine how many people will suffer losses and the disaster will be bad for everyone, until now there is a lot of demand and if everything goes well, the price will increase, do not think negative

I somewhat agree with this price levels because, before 14th February we may see a new ATH as all the technical analysis are repeatedly saying that we are going to break again $20k price levels.

I am expecting bitcoin to break $20k price level before the end of this January and by mid of February we can expect prices to cross $25k price levels. But, no one can be sure what is going to happen and it may cross $40k price levels also. Because I'm expecting bitcoin prices to test $100k level by end of this year but it may be $200k price levels also.

If you are so confident, then sell all your coins right now, and use futures or options to short Bitcoin. People like you will end up buying on the way up when you finally understand that you will not get what you are looking for. If you seriously believe that one Bitcoin can be worth $2000 again, you don't know much about this market and the cost of having one Bitcoin minted. It wasn't all that long ago where people said the same when the price just topped the $1000 level. According to them it wouldn't take long before the market would hit the $500 range again, and look where we stand right now. Let me know when you have bought yourself short exposure through futures or options. I however am sure you don't have the balls to do that. ;)

Coin marketcap is one of the worst indicators. Only noobs look at it and say... wow...so much money..such investment.
The cap dropped by 200 billions with only around 50-50 billions in actual trade.It is inflated, unrealistic and a lot of so called "investors" are throwing or rather flushing their money just because a coin has a big market cap.

No, there is no ATH coming that soon. Considering the last one was over inflated by that Ripple pump , it's goign o take some time.

Not to raise a polemic here but what does the cost of minting or mining have to do with bitcoin's price? Bitcoin is not like gold or oil or whatever where you can't arbitrarily adjust the "difficulty" of extraction. But with bitcoin, mining will never stop at any price, even at $1. People will just wait till the mining difficulty adjusts to lower hashrates, and then they will start mining again, now with videocards or even cpus when videocards are no longer economically viable.

Yes, the market is really moving in an upward trend and that is a good news for those were able to hold their bitcoin and other altcoins at the time of trouble just like the one we face last week which was as. result the bad news from North Korea.

Those who were patient when the price was falling are now getting their reward and those panic sellers are regret selling their coins.
Every time bitcoin price falls, we should wait for a new all time high and seems that this time is same as before.

Mooning will be slow I think, many newbie investors got scared, even few of my known mates are now scared. But yes, it will go up I guess till where it was few weeks ago that is around $15000 within few weeks if everything goes as it is going. The controversy is not ending at all, recently in India bank accounts of many exchanges were suspended, and rumors have been initiated about Exchange ban as other countries.

Yes...we are. for now but I don't think it will be faster the way we all might have expected. Because of the recent dip, the growth and price of bitcoin will take it time to pumps like we might have expected. And the good thing is that every day, the price is pump.hopefully, we might close the year with a good price. And this mooning will indeed favour those whom have bought some coins when it dip; Good luck to those whom did.

Lol..I get what you mean with the term "moooon" when you check it up in the dictionary. There are just some weird terminology been used in the crypto world that will make you question English language.. Hahaha. And yes, this is not the moon like so many may be saying. It just a little pump and we don't know how it may end. Looking at the recent price, there is also a reduction. So for now, its probably not a moon.

Nah, not really for the meantime because bitcoin is not yet ready to fly to the moon but i wonder if everyone was not trying to sell their coins since it is not yet recovering at the moment. But it is the right time to buy because it's too cheap and the wait is over for investing.

You're aware that marketcap is somewhat nonsense, right? It's just a mere multiplication of the current price and the circulating supply so when the price changes even a small amount the marketcap changes a lot. A new ATH will have to wait. We are at a bearish market now. Let the bull rest.


Sorry to burst your bubble but you are too optimistic. Not that I don't like optimism but hey, waking up is not so bad from time to time, right?

More likely 40k is going to be the second half of this year. Could it happen by summertime? Sure.. but we'll see. I think at the very least we'll be in an ATH by next month, whatever amount that happens to be, but most likely between the range of 20-25k. Who knows though, once the bull market starts it gets investors excited and that might cause a huge spike. Again, we'll see. No reason to panic or get excited either way just yet.

Just wait until FOMOs start rushing in. We have had long days of pull back to a huge level of support, I think it is time for the bulls to start taking over gradually. I am sure even the bears should have been totally tapped out by now, so we may start seeing some gradual step up in price for some days before we eventually start seeing some bull run signals.
