As most have seen when bitcoin drops most alts drop too.
Most alts are measured in value against bitcoin value not fiat.

Will bitcoin always be the king on the cryptos?

If not how would alts become valued without bitcoin price.

I don't think Bitcoin will remain to be at the top especially with it's current issues with congestion and fees as a result. Once another coin is marketed and used more frequently as a means of microtransactions, I think that Bitcoin will no longer be in the spot light.

Well, In my opinion, I think that Bitcoin will not remain as the King in the world of Cryptocurrency.Well, I already know that this year 2018, Other cryptocurrency will accepted as legal and legitimate cryptocurrency and can used in making many transaction and can exchange into fiats, which bitcoin has. Based on volatility and price, I think that Bitcoin will still the king and let us observe what will happen this year.

As for now, Bitcoin is still the king because all altcoins and ICOs can be bought only by Bitcoin and Etehreum (there are some that can be bought with other crypto currencies). But if they cannot resolve the problem with Bitcoin such as the transaction fees and the waiting time for the transactions to be completed, altcoins might overcome Bitcoin in the future.

I don't think so. As of writing, Bitcoin dominance is about 34% which is not that big anymore. Bitcoin dominance was about 70% a couple years back. Maybe in couple decade we may see Bitcoin dominance to drop to 10-15%. Altcoin is going to control crypto market in near future.

This I totally agree with. Actually I don't move my Bitcoins around as much as I used to because of the exact reason stated above. Once a new and more convenient mode of payment comes along, I will not hesitate to try it.

For the near future, without a doubt Bitcoin will still be the king.  It currently has the name recognition and is constantly in the news.  Certainly something else can come along that offers a better solution on how we transact money and dethrone it.  But for now, Bitcoin is the king.  

I personally feel that bitcoin has always been the king of the whole cryptocurrency. If bitcoin loses its value, then the other altcoin will be completely worthless for BTC.
If the value of bitcoin is surpassed by others, then the entire cryptocurrency market will not only fail to prosper, but may collapse.

Bitcoin will remain king of all crypto currencies unless other currencies do their best to rival BTC and introduce better services and durability than BTC. Many altcoins arre trying their best but I don't think that any alt coin can rival BTC anytime soon.

I somewhat disagree with the notion that Bitcoin will always be king and alt coins depend on Bitcoin to survive.. Alt coins are slowly closing in on the gap and will gradually overtake Bitcoin. Therefore, there will be no sudden take overs but a slow and painful one.

I don’t sependapat so, bitcoin was impossible to be the king of the money kripto, perhaps bitcoin only will be the king 5 years in the future, after it might be appeared currencies kripto will get rid of bitcoin and the kripto will be the king of the money kripto next.

I think the status of bitcoin in all COINS will not change.
When the recent slump in the currency, all other COINS fell, and when the currency begins to rise, after other COINS also follow up, it's enough to see the status of the currency, is the king of password controls all the market

Bitcoin is the king because it is the pioneer in crypto market. Blockchain technology came in to existance with bitcoin and majority of the people entered in to crypto market with bitcoin only. That is the reason why it is currently the king and number one currency in the market, even though we have a lot of technically superior currencies in the market.

However, I strongly believe that bitcoin can certainly be dethroned by an worthy competitor in future. Once all the bitcoins are mined, some other crypto currency will come to a number one position. Also the bitcoin network is currently facing a massive scaling issue which needs to be resolved. If the things move as it is now, bitcoin may well loose its popularity and fall from the current position. So anything can happen. Alts can be valued in USD as well, bitcoin is not required here.

obliviously Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency in current scenario. In future whatever happens in the market. Because many altcoins are created in every year for example ripple is suddenly reach a second position in market capitalisation then it was move to third. So future is unpredictable in crypto market. Know Bitcoin is rule the crypto market. Most of the altcoins depends on the Bitcoin value. So Bitcoin is ruling the cryptocurrency.

yes, as long as there are still many people who invest in bitcoin, many of its users, volume and spreading are still high, and bitcoin stock is still there, then bitcoin will always to be kripto king which altcoin up or down.
 altcoin that has good price is an altcoin that is stable when bitcoin prices down.

It will always its place in crypto market, maybe some other cryptos will become stronger then now, an will not be controlled by bitcoin, but bitcoin will keep its importance its for sure.

Banks are coming to Bitcoin and that will mean higher fees, not lower just like you have seen with Segwit

it is true, now bitcoin becomes number one and can be regarded as the king of cryptocurrency. if we read from the history of the currency, then there will be a new revolution. but in the case of bitcoin, it looks like it's still going to run, because I think it's new and not yet the time for bitcoin to be replaced with another crypto. maybe the main problem that is on bitcoin is transaction cost issue and confirmation time, I am afraid this will be bad for future bitcoin.

As long as bitcoin remains the only road on getting other cryptocurrencies, it will dominate the market for a long time. Also, deep pockets have already established their control on the bitcoin market and would likely be until it is profitable (which is still true even up to this day). Other altcoins can be profitable and can bring you a large payday, but do note that you can't acquire them directly with fiat so you need to still get bitcoin before anything else, which I think would remain the case for a long time given that no exchange would accept fiat deposits for cryptocoins.

Yes but Almost all the eyes are focused on the Bitcoin where it is the most time and money invested around the crypto market because of how far it already reach since the year it was found. It almost introduced the brand new way of using money with ease in our lives. There might be other cryptos that were made during its birth but Bitcoin dominated in price and it is what people really loved to invest at. Its price leap yearly is what makes encourage more investors to buy bitcoins. Unlike other cryptos, it was the number one crypto that is active in news that's why it became mainstream.

I dont think that bitcoin will always be the king bcoz in these past few years other cryptocurrency like alts proven to be legitimate and trusted so there is a chance to other cryptocurrency if it is marketed or much demanded by people

Ethereum might catch up to bitcoin but i think bitcoin will always be the "king" of crypto. But maybe someday, bitcoin and eth will battle for the throne.

In my opinion, it seems like btc will protect its current position, at least for now. Many people thinks that it’s one and only king of the market but i also think ethereum might have a chance in future

We can't say yet because we can only predict what will happen but still there is no assurance. Only faith will be matter and if you believe on bitcoin then it will probably still be the king in the future. Yes, we must also consider altcoins which offers great technology also and bitcoin must improve a lot so he will remain on top in the long run.

It is true the there are many new Cryptocurrencies that have more potential in Bitcoin base on their development plan. But as other coins rise, it will also lead on rising of Bitcoin. Bitcoin has been the reference of other cryptocurrency since it started. It has been more popular because of the rise up to $17K and above. And above all, because of other currency Bitcoin has it powers because of the investor and because of other currency. If Bitcoin will will fall and die, i guess all cryptocurrency will also be drag down.

Till now, the situation seems to be like allowing only bitcoin to be the king of cryptocurrencies.Its really hard for any other coin to gain such a huge trust as bitcoin has got from the people.People have trust in bitcoin but it could not be said that they would also trust altcoins too.Also,there are hundreds of altcoins available in the market which totally confuses the investors and most of them don't find altcoins as a safe investment.

It's first crypto currency but in the future some coins can be similar to it of course because they have different developers like example of many banks now,Eth developer wants to be like btc but the support are still few that's why it not happen but i think in some time it can happen because they want and of course they believe it can happen like they authorized also eth to fiat exchange.

What do you mean? In case to get another altcoin, I would say to stay more in bitcoin if you have the money. Mostly people convert their btc to altcoin because bitcoin price is dropping mean while altcoin get pumped. They will convert it and try to get more profit instead of do nothing

Btw bitcoin will still be king or base for any altcoin around, so bitcoin will always control the market, there is no other coin that can control it anyway

Its true,Ive noticed that when the value of bitcoin drop down the alts also drop,Maybe they are depending on the value of bitcoin in the crypto market.However there are some alts that was not affected but in general if bitcoin will rise,most of the alts rise too so bitcoin will always be the king controlling the crypto market.

It's likely that Bitcoin will stay as the King. The value of all cryptocurrency depends on the value of Bitcoin, when Bitcoin rises, most follows, same way when Bitcoin drops (significantly). This alone would likely justify that Bitcoin will stay as it is now.

If ever Bitcoin will be replaced then the new king will be the basis of the pricing of the alts. That's just how it is.

I think for the next years, bitcoin will still be a king on the cryptos but I don't know what is happen in the future because there is another chance for the altcoin to get increased but I don't think that the altcoin will defeat bitcoin. I think bitcoin is for the adjustment for the altcoin price and without bitcoin, altcoin will lose their value and if in the future, there are any coins that could be an adjustment value then bitcoin will be replaced. maybe ethereum or bitcoin cash is good for the next adjustment for the altcoin because the bitcoin price is too expensive and the altcoin will be difficult to increase higher.

There has been many new exchanges who are accepting Fiat against other cryptocurrencies but with a hefty fees. They may even start trading other coins with Fiat but the conversion rate may not be low. We will see some growth in this by the end of 2018 as allot is happening these days in the crypto world.

I don't think Bitcoin will always be king. Little by little Bitcoin's market share is shrinking. It wasn't long ago that Bitcoin held 50% of the market. Besides that, there are other coins out there that competes with Bitcoin.

We can't say bitcoin will always control the market because the dominance of bitcoin on the cryotocurrency field getting decrease over the days so if that falls too much then other coins may move their prices independent of bitcoin.But people onmy trusting bitcoin more than another coins so it will be the king always in my opinion.

It is not that bitcoin is controlling the market, it is us the traders and investors that creates the movement of the market. Bitcoin is the most invested and traded digital currency so I think if bitcoin is getting a dump in time, that will be the same in other digital currencies. It is not the king since it is the first digital currency in the world, if it will be called something, it will be the root or the mother of all digital currencies.

Bitcoin is not controlling the crypto market. But it influence the value of other altcoins and tokens out there. The one controlling the value is no other than the market itself and bitcoins value is also dictated by the demand in the market. In short everything relies on the market and technically speaking as long as bitcoin has the trust of the masses then bitcoin will remain at the center of cryptocurrency not as king or a ruler who controls but rather as a medium of exchange between alternative currencies in the cryptomarket.

Bitcoins are incredible. All other crypto coins have amazing goodwill to but comparing these two different families, bitcoins took the lead. Now, if you talk about who is popular and why is making more impact on internarial market, I am damn sure bitcoins would be the winning side. They are placing in hearts of their users because of best profit ratios. Altcoins are good too but definitely there will be only one king around.

Yes I believe it will always be so. The prices of all the altcoins now depend greatly on the price of bitcoin as we have come to notice, if bitcoin goes down they all do, if it goes up the prices of all the altcoins start picking up too. Bitcoin is the first and it is the stronghold of all cryptocurrencies and the success of others will most likely always depend on the success of bitcoin.
