As above.

As far as I know miners use blockchain drivers.

What`s the difference between blockchain and adrenalin ?

everything after blockchain driver sucks

Wrong; latest AMD drivers, if you change Graphics -> Compute in Radeon settings give the same performance as August BC drivers and are much more stable, in my experience.

Just trying to known if someone already tried these 18.1.1, if Pixel Patcher works and so on.

So much to choose between :/ Had to use 17.10.2 to enable 13 gpu in windows. Guess it will be safe to update to 18.1.1 then

I tried the 18.1.1 and worked ok using compute option on 2 gpu rig. Afterburn and core voltage applied correctly. :)

But

When i tested in a rig with 8gpu, simpling going to radeon settings to  switch to compute mode was slow, aftterburn doesn t detect the gpus too..

Anyone else tried?

What version recommend to susbtitute the blockchain driver for a rig with 8 gpus?

Any Thread in forum that discuss amd mining drivers?  8)

Regards

Aug23 can use 8 gpus, install driver only.

I like the driver only install ability with the August BC drivers. The Radeon Settings program is attrocious and slow. But I had serious issues with the BC drivers and the Fall Creators update on Win 10 Pro.

Upgraded to 18.1.1 and it all worked again. But at the expense of having to struggle through the Radeon Settings software just to change each of my 8 cards to Compute Mode. It literally took 15-20 mins because the program is so slow.

I really wish there was a 1-click option to change all GPUs to Compute

Installed "win10-64bit-radeon-software-adrenalin-edition-18.1.1-jan18" on a rig what is included 9x RX 580 8GB Nitro+ Special edition cards , Driver working fine , rig super stable .

For all of you who have a problem to switch a multi gpu system to compute mode , there is a very basic tool for that :)
Its Called " AMD-Compute-Switcher (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2815803.0) " just a few click , and a restart, and your multi gpu system is in compute mode

using AMD 18.1.1 drivers now with the block chain driver part on, only problem i come across is i can't use Afterburner if I go over 3 cards per rigs but they work the same that i notice with the block chain driver on as the block chain only drivers, so i use some kind of fan controller.

I have been using 18.1.1 since they came out. Works great in compute mode. Also OC with OverDrive...

Looks like 18.2.1 just released...

I tried the new driver with rx550 rx560 rx 570 and rx 460. my result were as follows.

rx550 - unstable with original oc settings
rx560 - unstable with original oc settings
rx460 - no change
rx570 - no change

5 rigs - 72 cards - 1.230 GH/s win7, win10, ubuntu 16.x server and hand rolled mining OS.

::food for thought::
IMO mining under 30 cards with the capital gains tax will make it non profitable in Q1-Q5.

hey man thanks for the tip on the AMD-Compute-Switcher I was about to go looking for some thing ..

for me and some others AB sees the Cards but doesn't work well with rigs over 3 with any driver past the block chain only drivers but does work well with block chain only drivers ... but other forks of AB do work with  the new drivers like https://www.asus.com/us/site/graphics-cards/gpu-tweak-ii/ ASUS Tweak II which i use for the fan control part and do ocing with the mining software it works ok for me and i can use the new drivers .

What changed in the new tax law that impacts capital gains? As far as I know nothing has really changed except the tax brackets for income tax (which is applied to short term capital gains). Those changes were positive... Did something else change?

I dont like afterburner never really used :)
For me Wattools ,and now OverDrivenTool is a much more easier to use :)

OverDrivenTool (https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/overdriventool-tool-for-amd-gpus.416116/) , AMD-Compute-Switcher (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2815803.0) and atikmdag-patcher (https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher) working perfectly fine with win10-64bit-radeon-software-adrenalin-edition-18.1.1-jan18 (http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-radeon-adrenalin-edition-18-1-1-driver-download.html) with RX 480 / RX 580 builts

I have that compute mode switcher too, its works good for up to like 11 or 12 gpus

I tried Overdriven but my fans wasnt controlled properly, so use afterburner with drivers 18.1.1, works perfect but only with 2 gpus. In my rig had the bugs i tell you, but i will test your sugestions :)

18.2.1 works Ok in one saphire rx580 oc 4GB. I don't use afterburner. PixelPatch not needed.

Ethereum 30.8 H/s stable. I got 31.07 H/s with some hardware errors (3-4 per minute), but works fine with less agressive mod and I get 30.8 H/s, without any errors.

Got over 31 MH/s with the Adrenalin drivers in compute from day 1.

Just trying to known if someone already tried these 18.1.1, if Pixel Patcher works and so on.
Yes it does (all my BIOS are moded)

I have 3 rigs - the main 1 above has 5 of the RX560's and 1 GTX1050 Ti
the 2nd rig has 3 of the RX560's
the 3rd rig has 1 RX550

all running Windows 10 Pro (64 Bit) ver. 1709, Claymores Dual 10.6 and now Adrenalin 18.2.1

Pixel Patcher isn't needed on modded rx580
Even for a 480 with a bios that is detected as 580 it isn't needed (like the one from http://www.overclock.net/forum/67-amd-ati/1630601-mod-sapphire-rx-480-nitro-oc-better-custom-bios.html)
