Title: Power supply question / mining
Post by: hivemindtoday on January 20, 2018, 07:53:41 PM
Hello everyone.

Can someone advise me if I can manage to run 2x

ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 580 8gb
on a
750x power supply.

System:
win 8.1
GIGABYTE X299 AORUS Ultra Gaming
Intel i7-7800x @ 3.50 ghz
Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3000
WD Blue 1TB SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 RPM

No risers, but might add to Onvian with 6 Pin to SATA Power Supply

Did not choose a coin to mine yet but I am still in the makings of this rig. Want to get everything right from the get go.

Yes you can. Even at full power you would have enough to run both RX 580. But also know you can alter power settings to make them run at less power.

The quality of the power supply is very important. You don't want to cheap out on the power supply.

Stick with tier 1 if you can. Tier 2 if you can't. Tier 3 only if you have to and for 1-2 GPU systems only.

Thank you for the fast reply.

Can I push it and add a

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1060 Mini 6GB , ZT-P10600A-10L

into this mix?
